Summary: Aradia's taking in a little of the tower's version of culture
Warnings: Grim art? But otherwise not much yet.

[Up until now, Aradia hasn't really spent much time perusing the art gallery that appeared when the tower grew a few floors. Today she's decided to rectify that.

And so she wanders aimlessly about the floor, looking at the various artworks on display and lingering in front of those that catch her eye. Probably one of the more morbid ones, but she seems far more fascinated than she does horrified.

[Terezi wanders on over, standing on her tiptoes to peek over Aradia's shoulder and sniff loudly.]

Wow. Gross!

[Aradia turns and grins]

Hey Terezi! I was wondering when I'd run into you.

I am a very sneaky troll! What are you doing?

Well I was going to say or we hang out in very different places but that works too.

[She turns to glance back at the painting]

I haven't really seen much of this floor yet. I thought maybe it was time I did something about that.

Me neither!

[She could make a blind joke but... Eh. Too easy.]

I'm kind of surprised you haven't mapped out this whole tower already.

[She grins]

Not quite, but I'm getting there. I just got distracted by all the people I need to map out too.

Oh? Like who?

Well there's spending time with Sollux, for one. Then my roommate, Willow, we've been spending a lot of time together...the adult trolls, of course. And all these alternate Alternias are fascinating to hear about too.

They are pretty interesting! There are a lot of them.

[She nods eagerly]

Who would have thought there would be so many offshoot timelines that can actually sustain themselves?

[scalemate]

[She frowns.]

They didn't really sustain themselves for long.

I don't know, I think some of them seem to be doing well for being so utterly different to what we would consider to be the Alpha.

[scalemate]

Here, at least! But I know a few of their timelines are doomed for sure.

[Not that she is... Particularly happy about this.]

[She frowns a little]

How do you know that?

[She shrugs, trying to appear nonchalant.]

Karkat told me.

Karkat? Wait, not our Karkat, he wouldn't know. There's another one here?

[She blinks, looking a little surprised at that response, then nods.]

A cerulean one! He's been here for a long time.

Oh! I think I've heard mention of him...he wouldn't happen to be from the same world as the jade Eridan?

[scalemate]

Yes! That one! They had to scratch their session, he said.

Really? That's terrible! Did he say what went wrong?

[scalemate]

A lot of the things that went wrong for us, I guess! Their Jack was crazy, too, and then a few of them snapped.

Hmm. Well even so, six sweeps is a long time for an offshoot to be sustained. And wouldn't Eridan have known if it was an offshoot rather than a second alpha?

[scalemate]

[She shrugs.]

Maybe. But almost all of them died.

[verymuchalive]

Oh.

[She pauses a moment to consider this]

Maybe...maybe it's both. Maybe there are two alphas but the trolls here are from an offshoot of that one.
