In which Alistair is certainly not a master of stealth.
Characters: Alistair, and the people unfortunate enough to hear him clanging about (ie: It could be you!)
Setting: Floor One, outside room 1-09, or anywhere else you feel like running into him.
Format: Action tags! Or prose. Prose-y action tags?
Summary: Alistair explores and tries to find out what the hell is going on. Also, he thinks he's a prison in Tevinter, so he might be a little jumpy.
Warnings: None. Unless derp isn't your cup of tea.
"These clothes were seriously not made for wearing armor. You can tell they don't have Templars in Tevinter, everything chafes..." Alistair mumbled to himself, rolling his shoulders with a loud clang of metal on metal. Mages, honestly. How did they get by with such light armor? He may have woken up to a bunch of lies and surrounded by strange... things (machines,) but what were they thinking when they left his armor and sword there? They didn't think he'd just stay, did they? Their security was laughable too. So far it looked like no one else in their group had been kidnapped here (and how did they get him so fast? Magic. it had to be magic,) but he wasn't giving up hope.
So now Alistair is walking down a hallway, trying to be 'stealthy,' if you would, and checking rooms to see if any of his friends (or Morrigan) are here. Feel free to pop in! (He'll only be mildly startled.)
(ooc: If you want your character to run into Alistair anywhere else, include the location in the subject :Db)

The thing with knights though (and in Romeo's mind the only people who'd ever wear armour were knights) that sometimes they were bad knights and they had weapons, and sometimes killed people, which was bad. Romeo shrank into the side of the coridoor trying to hide when the man walked past.

Still, he'd been going around in circles and had at least memorized the general layout of the floor at this point. Which is why he noticed when a small child popped up in his peripheral vision, seemingly trying to make himself remain unseen.
Alistair ducked down a bit, knowing he could seem a rather a bit large and intimidating even on his best days. Wouldn't want to scare the child, that's just not right.
"Hello there, are you all right?" He asked in an accent that was distinctly British, though if you asked him, he'd say it was Fereldan. "Are you lost too?"

"You say you have a room here? Is this some kind of hostel?" It would have to be, to take in kids at least. That's the only thing that made sense.

"Mind if I ask you a question?" He shifted his weight, fidgeting a bit. A holding facility without escape was not the kind of place he wanted to be, given what he should be doing and with whom.
Of course, that was all a little too serious for him, so he decided to just ignore all that for now. "Sorry, I haven't even introduced myself. I'm Alistair, of the Grey Wardens."

"No sir, though the people who brought us here said the world ended, and some people think we were kidnapped."
no subject
"Well, you shouldn't always believe the first thing a mysterious, unmarked note tells you. About the world-ending business, anyway." Who would say such a thing and why? To make them complacent? He'd have to mull over it later. "In any case, kidnapping sounds much more likely. Though I suppose it says a lot about our situation, if kidnapping is actually the optimistic choice right now."

"Yes sir! Then everybody will be able to go home and be happy!"
no subject
"That's the spirit! Now we just have to look around and find those shady folks. You wouldn't happen to have any idea where to start, would you?"

He thought back to the question session, which had been a long time ago, "I think one of them was called Jason, and I think there was a Zo? And a Riki and someone else who I can't remember!" He shook his head again, "I don't think we're in any country, everyone's from different worlds and I think this is a seperate world somewhere else and there's just this tower and fog everywhere!"

"Yes, I... just arrived here, I suppose you could say. You wouldn't happen to know where the exit is, would you?"
no subject
"I'm afraid there is no exit, much as I'd like for there to be."
no subject
"So there's literally none to be found? Just floor after floor of bedrooms? How do they get the food in?"
no subject
"How they get the food here, I'm not certain, but there's more than the dormitory floors - there's a library, a lounge, a cafeteria... And some other floors that have opened up recently that I haven't investigated."

no subject
"And as far as I can tell, we don't have access to the ground floor."
no subject
"Are the stairs just blocked off, then?" Alistair doesn't know about elevators, mind you.
no subject
"Seems that way - you get to the top or bottom floors we have access to, the stairs end just like a top or ground floor."

Fair warning: it wasn't going to come off any time soon.

Alistair laughed, obviously attempting to hide his embarrassment. "Haha, of course. I knew that." He didn't. "I was just, you know, wandering to see if I could meet some of my... er, dorm-mates. Yes."
no subject
"...So you decided to get on their good side by barging into every unlocked room you see?"
OOC: ...Wait a minute.
Alistair and Ienzo are in the same dorm.
Ffffffuuuuuuuuuu

Because why the heck not now. NEW TRIBES--The sound of armour clanging with each step was what caught Vietnam's attention. Unusual, she hasn't heard any other do that yet, so she had to investigate. Cautiously, she looked around, and saw a man, and this man was trying to sneak around....Alright.
It was her turn to sneak, and so she sneaked after. Fortunately for her, she did a better job at it, and just when he was about to peer into some room, she went up to him--
"What are you looking for?"

Drawing his hand away from his blade, he brings the other up to his temple. "Maker, don't scare me like that! I could've hurt you!"
no subject
"Ah, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to surprise you." Alright, maybe that was only half true, "But, at least you have good reflection?"

She lightly smacks her head, "That's what I meant! Ahaha, I suppose I still have ways to go." She couldn't help but laugh though, at least he had a lot of energy, being in a strange place and all! "I suppose I can give that to you too, it is better than some people I know."
Vietnam then bows her head slightly, to greet him, after realising that she had not done so (which is rude). "It is nice to meet you, I am Vietnam. What should I call you?"

So he approached this person from behind while listlessly chewing on some black salty licorice. "What are... you doing..."
no subject
So Alistair wasn't surprised (this time) when he turned around and was faced with yet another person he didn't know. What was he eating? Well, nevermind.
"Out for a stroll, as you can see." Didn't mean he had to be sarcastic about it, but you try walking around for hours wearing all this stuff, a man could get tired.

By the way, he was trying not to be helpful.
