Setting: Room 1-18 and both dorm floors.
Format: Either or!
Summary: Link freaks out and then freaks out a little more.
Warnings: None I think; will change if it happens?

[Room 1-18 and probably the hallway too.]

[Of all the ways Link has woken up before, this had to be the worst. First was the sleep paralysis; that gave him a good spook, since it's definitely never happened before. Only thing that equals paralysis in his mind are those stupid Redeads - but after gaining movement again, he already checked the room for those.
Thank goodness there aren't any. Yet.

But second was realizing, hey, this definitely is not anywhere he remembers being. Definitely, definitely not. This place is too... fake feeling to be anywhere on the Great Sea. So of course, he got up to check the room out.

And that's when he noticed the third thing - that collar clamped around his neck. Oh, this ain't good, no sir; it feels like something evil, and just looking at what he can see of it gives him a little bit of the heebie jeebies. Which means it must come off, and now.

So if you pass by that room or are lucky enough to be in it, you may or may not find Link with his back to the floor, hands clasped on what he can grab of the collar, and his little legs scooting him backwards across the ground like he expects it to help. It's probably pretty dumb looking.]

[Around the dorm areas.]

[Later, of course, is time for a little exploration; he's grabbed all he can carry out of his trunk, and he's making his way around to try and find the door outta here - which in his logic means "go around and open every door you find". So feel free to notice the little nine year old hero peeking his head into your room, there.]

Is it Pumpkin soup?

[He blinks a bit, before moving to get a bottle of soup out of his trunk.]

It's not pumpkin soup, no; it's vegetable soup!

But... what is a pumpkin?

[They don't grow any on the great sea...]

It's...

It's this big-- [He makes a circle in the air with his hands.] --orange vegetable. It kind of looks like, uh...

[He thinks for a second.]

Are there any pieces of paper lying around?

Oh, um... I don't know. I don't have any...

[He's still trying to understand "big, round, orange vegetable".]

Well, I don't think we have pumpkins here, so I guess it doesn't really matter...

[He thinks.]

Yeah, I guess.

Well, here!

[He gives him a smile, passing a bottle of his Grandma's soup over to the other Link to try.]

It's really, really good; I promise.

[He does in fact try it, just drinking it straight from the bottle. He hands it back and wipes his mouth.]

Oh, wow! That is really good!

It's the best soup ever! My Grandma made it; she's a really good cook.

[He gives him a bright smile, taking the bottle back and taking the last few gulps for himself.

And then pausing, his face falling. Uh oh.

He's just going to cover his mouth and run for a waste basket, and once he's done, give Link the saddest face ever.]

I-I don't understand... it's still good; Grandma's soup doesn't go bad...

Eh?

[He blinks a few times.]

It was fine when I ate some.

[He plops down on the floor then, looking at the empty bottle with that sad look still plastered across his face.]

I know... Grandma's soup never goes bad!

I can keep it in a bottle for days, and it'll be just fine...

[He thinks for a second.]

Maybe you need something more... subtle to eat? There's some oatmeal here, it might help your stomach.

[POOR BOY]

Maybe...

[WIBBLE. HE WANTS SOUP, NOT OATMEAL.]

My tummy's upset, now...

[He smiles and picks lil' Link up, putting him on his shoulders.]

I think the oatmeal will help.

[He hugs onto the top of the other's head, settling there comfortably.]

Okay, if you think so...

Is it good oatmeal?

It's kind of bland but it's okay.

Okay... then let's go have some, I guess.

[And hugging his head some more!]

[And he takes him to the cafeteria and gets him a bowl of oatmeal and sets him down in front of a table.]

[And he looks at it and realizes he has no clue what oatmeal is.
Because oats like that can't grow on islands constantly covered in sea winds.

But he'll be polite and take up his spoon, spooning some carefully into his mouth and BLECH
BLECH WHAT IS THIS STUFF OH MY GOD IT HAS NO FLAVOR
but big link said it's food for his stomach so he'll eat it anyway....]

[He laughs a little bit and ruffles lil' Link's hair.]

[And once he gets a few spoonfuls down, he makes a small choking/gagging sound and pushes it away, making the biggest BLECH face ever.]

I'm sorry, it's too gross! Not even potions are this gross!

How does your stomach feel?

[He puts his hands on his stomach then to think about it, and pouts.]

... It's okay, I guess. But do I have to eat more of the oatmeal?

Not if you don't want to.

[SIGH OF RELIEF.]

All I want is something that tastes good, now...
