Characters: Lil' Link and you!
Setting: Room 1-18 and both dorm floors.
Format: Either or!
Summary: Link freaks out and then freaks out a little more.
Warnings: None I think; will change if it happens?
[Room 1-18 and probably the hallway too.]
[Of all the ways Link has woken up before, this had to be the worst. First was the sleep paralysis; that gave him a good spook, since it's definitely never happened before. Only thing that equals paralysis in his mind are those stupid Redeads - but after gaining movement again, he already checked the room for those.
Thank goodness there aren't any. Yet.
But second was realizing, hey, this definitely is not anywhere he remembers being. Definitely, definitely not. This place is too... fake feeling to be anywhere on the Great Sea. So of course, he got up to check the room out.
And that's when he noticed the third thing - that collar clamped around his neck. Oh, this ain't good, no sir; it feels like something evil, and just looking at what he can see of it gives him a little bit of the heebie jeebies. Which means it must come off, and now.
So if you pass by that room or are lucky enough to be in it, you may or may not find Link with his back to the floor, hands clasped on what he can grab of the collar, and his little legs scooting him backwards across the ground like he expects it to help. It's probably pretty dumb looking.]
[Around the dorm areas.]
[Later, of course, is time for a little exploration; he's grabbed all he can carry out of his trunk, and he's making his way around to try and find the door outta here - which in his logic means "go around and open every door you find". So feel free to notice the little nine year old hero peeking his head into your room, there.]

Then from now on, you're my big brother, okay? 'Cause I couldn't ask for a better older sibling.
[A pause.]
Though, I have to ask... does that mean you're still kind of ten in here?
[That's asked as he taps the side of his head, of course.]
Because I noticed adults are really bad at playing games. They're just better at telling kids how to play them.
[1/2]
SKgjhfkjhg all these compliments... ]
That... is something of a longer story. It is somewhat complicated.
[ Time to explain as best they can and hope the tinier Link can comprehend this... ]
... I suppose no one is aware of this, really, but the door to the Sacred Realm in the Temple of Time was where the Triforce was kept. The Royal Family, Princess Zelda's bloodline, were the ones who could open it. Ganondorf had not risen to power yet, and he was planning to overthrow the King... we were your age, and we were--fools, I suppose.
So the Princess and I came up with a plan to get the Triforce before Ganondorf could. I gathered the three Spiritual Stones for her, which each race had one of to protect. With them and the Ocarina of Time, which Zelda kept safe, we had the keys to the Sacred Realm.
[ Pausing, and sighing. This part was... not good. ]
When I returned to the castle, I found Zelda fleeing on horseback from Ganondorf... she threw the Ocarina into the mote, and he did not notice. He pushed me out of his way when I refused to tell him which way she went, but in the end I gained the Ocarina of Time--
[ Link holds the blue, ornate instrument up, for emphasis. ]
--and used it and the Spiritual Stones to get to doorway that held the Sacred Realm. Though I did not see it, myself. Merely the Master Sword in a pedestal, sealed inside of it. Like a fool, I walked right into Ganondorf's trap when I pulled the sword out of its pedestal... it was the key that let him into the Sacred Realm to take the Triforce for himself.
And as for me, I was powerless to stop him, because the moment I pulled the sword out, I was taken to the Chamber of Sages, a dimension hidden from those not allowed there--even Ganondorf could not enter it; it was the last stronghold against his evil. I.... was put to sleep there for seven years because the gods did not feel a ten year old child was fit to wield the Master Sword or carry the mantle of the Hero of Time. I was not yet the hero of destiny they sought; I was too young.
So I aged. But I did not live it. I understand more than I did before then, however, physically... I do not belong in this age. I should be your age.
[ This all said, Link sighs, going quiet for a long moment. ]
... Though all hope had not been lost, he had tainted and changed the land, hurting many people during the 7 years. So many have died or been hurt because of me in that future timeline...
[2/2]
... Regardless, I would not consider myself an "adult". I am rather good at games. There is no one who can best me at archery or swordplay, and I am very competitive. I don't like to lose. I've played every game available to me; in fact, the first thing I did upon visiting the Castle Town was see if the Bombchu Bowling Alley was something of interest.

All he really wanted to know is if you were good at hide and seek, Link. 8(]
Um...
I didn't know archery and swordplay was kinds of games. I played hide and seek with my sister and the other kids on my island all the time, and tag, too.
... And what's a bowling alley?
no subject
Welp. ]
... Not in itself. But it can be. Archery is by far the most fun competition.
[ BIAS WHAT BIAS-- ]
Ahh, Saria and I used to play that a lot in the Lost Woods... but... a bowling alley is a place where you take bombs and aim them at targets. If you win after so many tries, you get a prize.
[ Actually that's just what Link THINKS it is. This is going off the one in Castle Town. ]
no subject
I'm not good at archery though; it's just frustrating and hard. I have to aim funny to be able to hit things with my arrows.
But um... bowling alleys do sound kind of fun.
[Not as fun as some of the games he played back home though. :(]
Maybe one day me and you can play a game together? Like, um...
You know, I can't think of a lot we can play. But - you knew the Great Deku Tree, right?
If you have one of his leaves, I know how we can make tag a lot more fun!
no subject
[ ... Huh? A leaf? Headtilt... ]
... Hm? A leaf... you have ones of his leaves?

[He gives them a bright smile before hopping off the bench and grabbing their hand, giving it a little tug.]
C'mon, I'll show you!

It... takes a while for him to lead them back to his room since he only sort of remembered where it was, but there they are!!!
He tugs them over to his chest, holding their hand with both of his and walking backwards.]
C'mon, c'mon - I've got a lot of neat stuff to show you, too!
[And once they're over there, he flips the chest open, climbing in halfway since he's kind of tiny, and pulling out everything he'd left behind to show them - grabbing first for what seems to be a tangle of sticks, until he holds it, the Deku Leaf unfurling in response to the boy's magic.]
This is my Deku Leaf!
no subject
That is unmistakably belonging to the Great Deku Tree. It is positively SATURATED in magic, and Link can feel it from over here.
Goodness, how strange. ]
I... that is rather unheard of... I can't say I've ever seen the Great Deku Tree do something like this. He must have known you needed it for your quest.
[ The Great Deku Tree was very wise, and very kind, after all.
... Their father, that is. Was the nicest, smartest person. Link misses him dearly. But let's... try not to be sad here, the kid is so happy... like everything else? Bottle it. Cork it. Put it away. ]
I can't say I've... seen anyone use that before.
no subject
[It's obvious lil' Link absolutely adores his Deku Leaf, because he's beaming at the idea of getting to play with it.]
It's really neat - I bet you'd be able to use it, too! You just need a little magic after all, and you got lots of it.
[He smiles and climbs onto his bed, holds both edges of the leaf, and hops off - sailing in a straight path around the room for a while before letting go back on his bed.]

This kid... honestly... it must be nice, to be so carefree. Can't help but watch a little transfixed. ]
I don't mind heights, but... I think you'd better keep it.
[ Because Link rifles through their stuff and LONGSHOT YEAHHHH. Also, Hoverboots, though Link has those in their trunk. ]
I have this... and something else to help me travel in the air.
no subject
[He gently puts the Deku Leaf back, watching it with a smile as it furls back up, and takes his Hookshot out to show the other.]
It's really neat, but I think I'd like if I had my Grappling Hook instead... my friend gave me my Grappling Hook, so it's more important.
[He puts the Hookshot back, hopping onto the edge of his trunk to take out more to show them.]
Um... Do you want to look at anything? I can't pick what to show you next...
