HAPPY VALENTINES DAY
Characters: Karkat Vantas (AU) and YOU
Setting: Everywhere! Specify plx
Format: First
Summary: Karkat ate chocolate.
Warnings: Coconut chocolate. There will be skeevy flirting in here, and probably some form of mind control or manipulation. Also murder. He will try and kill you when he's done. If you want a different chocolate, go ahead and specify in the subject.
[Karkat hadn't been feeling well all day.
Since he had made the mistake of getting breakfast, he hasn't been able to get the sweet taste of coconut and chocolate out of his mouth. If there was one thing Karkat hated, it was sweet foods. The taste on his tongue was making his skin crawl, making him feel much warmer than he rightfully should have felt.
Or maybe it was something else. Even the Thief of Heart wasn't quite sure what was disturbing him to the point that his fingers felt like the were tingling. The feeling was moving through his limbs as the day went on and he was strangely alert. Nerves. Had to be nerves. Considering who had just arrived in the Tower, it was no wonder really.
Either way, Karkat began to pick at his own lip with his spider-like fangs, tongue sliding across them in thought as he rounded the corner.]

He is indeed pulled down and he certainly doesn't miss that tone of voice. Karkat's jaw hangs in surprise and it takes him a second to pull his hands up to her's to ... gently ... pull them off his tie so he can sit up.]
Uh. Kanaya. Are you high?
no subject
Not to my knowledge. Is there a problem?
[That smile is bordering on unnerving with how uncharacteristically stubborn it is.]
no subject
Probably, but I'm not ready to make a call on that yet.
[Well ok, there's one way to figure things out. He moves around the couch to face her properly, looking down and folding his arms.]
You're fine, so I guess that's all that matters.
no subject
[She sits back down and turns when he moves to face her properly. Good. The back of the furniture probably would have become an irritation otherwise.
She leans forward towards Karkat a little, supporting herself with her arms resting atop her lap.] I am glad to see that you are well, too. I'm not sure what I would do with myself if something were to happen to you.
[A pretty unnecessary statement, since it frankly went without saying. And the Tower resurrects the fallen, anyways. Whatever, she needs to sweet-talk if she's going to get what she wants.]
no subject
Oh god, GET A GRIP VANTAS.]
What--yeah. Right. Ok.
[He pauses and reaches down to catch her chin and tilt it up in order to get a better look at her. Well, just a peak wouldn't hurt, right? Just a little test of the waters with the Heart thing.
He catches her eyes with a bit of a stern look, attempting to search for whatever feeling was sparking this behavior.]
no subject
Not that Kanaya gives any indication of realizing what he's doing, if she knows. She's pretty used to having a psychic empath friend, so it's hard to say.]
no subject
...you wanna run that by me again? I mean--nevermind. You should probably be back in your room.
no subject
Oh, here's a thought.] Do you really want me to go back alone? It's a long way up.
[There's the elevator, but she'd still have to go back down to the ground level to get to it. And she's not supposed to be wandering by herself.]
no subject
[Guess who's trying really hard to ignore that pout? God, its making his stomach turn. He has to fight not to roll his eyes.]
no subject
You are the one that told me I'm not supposed to be by myself. [As she says this, she closes much of the distance to him again, reaching a hand up to absently brush out his jacket along his shoulder and sleeve. Not that it was exactly wrinkled in the first place.]
no subject
He's convinced now that this has something to do with the Tower, or someone's idea of an extremely sick joke. He flinches a bit when he feels her hand on his arm, but forces himself to relax.
Hey. This was still Kanaya, right? He wasn't actually in any danger here, especially since she was wading knee deep in his territory.
...right?]
Nevermind. Come on.
no subject
She follows, but not before making an attempt to thread her arm under his and hook it with her elbow.
Hey, it's how classy guys should escort a lady.]
no subject
Either way, he's on his way leading her back to her room...uncomfortable.]
So. What've you been doing all day?
