3. Stranger Danger
Characters: L and anyone who's stalking him. (At this point, IIRC, Eleanor Lamb, Nina Fortner, Romeo, and any other interested parties.)
Setting: Around the tower, primarily near the libraries, the Cafeteria, and the dormitory floors, but anywhere monsters might be found is also a good bet.
Format: Action preferred, but I'll match you if you really want to prose... it's just that I'm much slower with prose tags.
Summary: L manages to steer clear of the candy for two days, only accruing some stalkers, but eventually, a piece of pecan chocolate stows away in his waffle. This might be bad news for some of the stalkers, who will have to share him with--or follow him into--his new obsession.
Warnings: Eventual carnage expected. Any valentine hearts in this thread will have been recent residents of someone's chest. Quite possibly the stupidest death L will ever experience.
[On February 14th and 15th, L can be found in the cafeteria on the first floor, eating meals, already looking a little bit better than he did on Sunday. Outside of mealtimes, he can be found in the library on the third floor or the more technical library on the nineteenth floor, or briefly, on the 15th, in the art gallery on the twenty-second floor.
He has no intention of eating any of the candy that appears on Valentine's Day; his experiences in the Tower so far suggest that it's probably a bad idea to even touch the stuff, and events begin to support this hypothesis. A few people have begun to subject him to a level of scrutiny that he's never experienced before. That is, he's not usually on the receiving end of it.
Anyone who observes him eating a waffle on the sixteenth will see him stop, abruptly set his utensil on the plate, peer at the remaining waffle, and mutter, "Damn it." He's been so hungry, and now that he can eat again, ingredients that deserve nothing but suspicion are appearing in his food... in this case, it's pecan and chocolate, obviously a melted candy pressed into the middle of the waffle, not visible from the top. It tastes good, but that's not the point. The point is that it shouldn't be there.
After that breakfast, everything changes. He still takes meals in the cafeteria as much as he's able to, although sometimes he eats quickly or leaves without warning. He can still be found in some of the other places he frequents, but he begins to spend hours in the forest on the sixth floor, visits the twenty-fourth floor to no avail at least once, and, if you're hanging outside of the door of Room 2-02 because you followed him there and you'll be following him again when he leaves (you know who you are), you'll see that he leaves his room late every evening to wander the corridors on the dormitory levels for at least a few hours.
Whatever he's looking for, he seems to have devoted himself to finding it. When he has quarry, he's always single-minded about running it to ground.]
[OOC: I thought the best way to arrange this would be by date. Just specify the location in the subject line of your comment!]

The monsters are worrying but he does not mind, since L is there.]

The only trouble is that, while he feels full of love, he wasn't sure until yesterday who the love was for, in the specific sense. But now that he's figured it out, he's on the move. He pauses every so often to look and listen. At one point, his expression brightens, and he suddenly changes the direction in which he's ambling, walking with more purpose.
The kid is still following him, but as long as he stays out of the way, it will be all right. If he tries to interfere, though... if he tries to interfere, L will have to deal with him.]

So in the aim of keeping his spirits up he just followed, a good ten paces away at all times. Watching, just watching.]
