Summary: Link's making things for friends!
Warnings: I fail to see any warnings being needed but Ghirahim might tag I'm not sure and he's a warning himself so I'll put down "possible Ghirahim sighting" as the warning.




[If you come into the workshop today, you may notice a familiar green garbed elf carving something out of wood! Upon closer inspection, it kind of looks like a girl. He chips away, completely focused on what he's doing. Why don't you come bother him! He'll make you something if you ask nicely.]

[Yep, he's just toddling behind him the whole time.]

... Are you sure you want to keep all of them?

[theherourherocouldbelike]

[He nods and takes off his hat. When they get into the room, he stuffs it full of pictures and tries to shove it back on his head so he could carry more on hand but that wasn't quite working so he hands it to Wind Waker and picks up the last few pictures.]

[cantstopme]

[And as he follows, Link just buries his face in the other's hat exasperatedly.

Why did he have to introduce the other to Pictographs.]

[He'll be taking pictures whenever the chance arises.

He puts the last armful down when they get back to his room and takes the hat, emptying it and shoving it back on his head, his smile not leaving his face once. At least. Not until he notices the gem sparkle from in his opened chest.]

[He blinks a bit, following the other's line of sight to the chest.

He's not gonna go poking around of course, but it's obvious he sees it, big Link.]

[He notices lil' Link eyeing it and he goes over to take it out and show him. It was a pretty big, pretty sparkly orange-red diamond.]

[And that gets his eyes to light up - other than Rupees, he's never seen a gem like this!]

Whoah... that's a really pretty gem! Where did you get it?

[theherourherocouldbelike]

I got it after defeating an enemy.

[Well that was pretty much the truth. He hands it out to him.]

I have no need for this, would you like it?

[cantstopme]

Oh... really?

[And his eyes are lighting up even more!]

Are you sure?

[theherourherocouldbelike]

[Yes, that was exactly what he was hoping for! If he could make this little boy happier by giving him this then he'd feel a little less worse about the whole situation.]

Mhm. It would only sit in that chest for weeks, collecting dust if I kept it.

[He takes Link's arms and places the gem in them.]

I'd be a lot happier if you took it off my hands, I know you'd find more things to do with it.

[cantstopme]

[Wow that's... a really big gem. It's almost as big as his torso!
He wraps his little arms around it and gives the other a bright smile and a nod.

After a second of inspecting it, he gives the other a deep, grateful bow.]

Thank you so much - I'll take really good care of it, I promise!

[He ruffle's Link's hair.]

[He holds the gem out in front of himself to inspect it, looking at things through it.]

... I think I know what I'll do with it, too.

Oh?

I'm going to save it for my really good friend, Tetra.

She's a pirate, so she really likes treasure! I know she'll really like this, too.

And she'll take really, really good care of it!

[theherourherocouldbelike]

A... pirate?

[oh god no he hates pirates]

Mhm!

A big, brave one, too! She has her own ship and her own crew, and some even say arr!

They're all really neat.

[He hugs the gem again, positively beaming at the idea of giving it to Tetra.]

I... don't think I'd really be here right now if it wasn't for her. Ganondorf was really, really strong; I couldn't have beaten him without her help.

So she's a nice pirate?

[cantstopme]

Of course!

[He stops then, obviously a little offended, but stops, actually thinking that over.]

Well... um...

Not really nice. She used to steal stuff and pillage places and be really mean.

But she's gotten better. We were going to travel together until we found a new world to start a new life. We didn't want everyone living on the sea anymore; we were going to start our own kingdom.

[theherourherocouldbelike]

[Oh, well that seemed a little... disheartening to hear that. How Link had a whole future set out in front of him and now he can't do anything about it, he was so young still too!

SS bends down and smiles a little, setting a hand on WW's shoulder.]

I bet you she's working on that right now so when you get back home, you'll have a big surprise waiting for you!

[He scuffs his foot on the ground a bit, but nods.]

Yeah... yeah, probably. I just hope I'm not here for too long.
I don't want to go back home all grown up, and have her not really remember me...

I don't think she'd forget you, she's your best friend, right?

[His smile was growing a little sad. He was worrying about the same thing himself, to be honest.]

[cantstopme]

... Yeah.

Oh - um... I guess you should know; Tetra is my Zelda.

She helped me a lot even though she doesn't like to say so, and even though she calls me names and stuff, I know she still likes me.

[He looks down at the floor with a sad smile of his own, hugging the gem close.

It's obvious he's starting to miss her.]

[NO DON'T BE SAD YOU MAKE HIM WANT TO HUG YOU but he doesn't know if that's ok so he just squeezes Link's shoulder a little.]

My best friend is my Zelda. She wasn't a princess, or a pirate, she was a knight in training like myself. She wasn't of royal blood or anything either but I guess you could call her the princess of the Knight Academy. Her father was the Headmaster, you see so she was pretty popular with everyone. She also called me names and yelled at me a lot but she meant well.
