Summary: The temperature keeps dropping, and with the power going on and off it's getting pretty cold. After a couple of good suggestions on her network post, Xion decides to try a group bonfire. More people come than she expects.
Warnings: It's a bunch of cold people huddling around a campfire. Probably not going to be much more than PG

[The fire is set a little ways away from the stairs, on a patch of clearer ground. There's a pile of wood nearby, riskily portaled up from the forest floor. But there's enough there to keep the fire going for a few hours at least.

It's not a roaring bonfire or anything, but it should be enough to keep anyone there warmer, at least.]

[Xion nods. She... really doesn't know the normal cycle of seasons. The World that Never Was had no variation... it was just a dark world, full of black and white and shades of gray. Dark skies, with the slowly-forming Kingdom Hearts staring down at them, and sometimes rain.]

I hope it gets warmer soon.

[She's not an optimist like the Roxas she knows is, but she does hope. For both their sakes.]

[Another nod seems an appropriate response.]

I do, too.

[A pause.] It might. [Because surely they could both use some optimism, and,] This might not be something the tower would keep.

Keep?

[Xion tilts her head to the side a little] The Tower... keeps things? What do you mean?

[lethechained]

... Usually, when something strange happens in the tower, it goes away after a while. But... some changes... don't go away. The tower used to be a lot smaller than this. Over time, more and more floors have been added. There... never used to be so many monsters, either.

[Oh right... Riku had said something about the monsters to her before, when she'd just arrived. She nods a little grimly.]

I don't think... it will go away. I mean... we can't stay like this forever.

[She shrugs at the blankets a little to indicate them, more with her left shoulder than her right.]

Mm.... The tower may hurt us a lot, but... this just doesn't seem like its-- style, I suppose. [A pause, then a head shake.] It's too early to tell, anyway.

Yeah... [She didn't really know the Tower's usual "style," so to speak, but she did know Naminé had been there longer than her. She'd trust the blonde girl's word on it.]

I guess we'll have to wait and see.

[...]

Naminé, can I ask you something?

I-it's okay ;3; <3333

[lethechained]

[Said blonde girl nods.]

I guess so.

[She doesn't think too much of the pause, but the question - that's something else entirely. She raises her eyes back to Xion's, feeling suddenly a little apprehensive but careful to keep it out of her epxression.]

... Yes. Of course.

And then I realized her question wouldn't work and spent days coming up with a new one... orz

[She's... trying to figure out how to phrase this question. She knows Naminé is from their worlds. She seemed to know Riku, and Roxas, and maybe Axel too. She also noticed the resemblance to Kairi. But... she still didn't know where Naminé fit in with all this.

It takes her a while to come up with a question.]

You... you know why Roxas doesn't remember, don't you?

[Xion herself already knows part of it from Riku - why Roxas doesn't remember her. She can only assume the rest of it has something to do with her as well.]

[The wait is a slightly nerve-wracking one. Whatever Xion intends to ask, Naminé can already tell it's going to be an uncomfortable question to answer. That doesn't, however, mean that she has any intention of not trying. Her expression is sober, and it stays that way, even through the question, although her eyes do widen ever so slightly, a frown tugging at her lips. Her eyes lower, brow threatening to scrunch. ... Xion deserves to know. Now that she's had the time to work things out, Naminé's aware of the original reason for Roxas to forget Xion... and she's also aware of the other reason, the one that compounds the first - her own involvement and manipulation of Roxas' memories.]
