Not gonna do lyrics this time.

Characters: A bunch of the keyderps and Nobodies and some.
Setting: Spring Floor!
Format: Go wild. |D
Summary: The temperature keeps dropping, and with the power going on and off it's getting pretty cold. After a couple of good suggestions on her network post, Xion decides to try a group bonfire. More people come than she expects.
Warnings: It's a bunch of cold people huddling around a campfire. Probably not going to be much more than PG

[The fire is set a little ways away from the stairs, on a patch of clearer ground. There's a pile of wood nearby, riskily portaled up from the forest floor. But there's enough there to keep the fire going for a few hours at least.

It's not a roaring bonfire or anything, but it should be enough to keep anyone there warmer, at least.]

[He tried not to tense when she came over, but it was hard. He wasn't flinching or worried, just...tense and worried. It had been easier to figure out how to act with Namine because Ven had stumbled upon them before things got too awkward, but he had to handle this himself someday.]

[He scooted over to give her more room, pulling his knees up to hug them. He was fine with the silence, really, but didn't want her to think he was being standoffish.]

[She turns slightly pink. It wasn't that big a deal, but she was still kind of awkward about doing this sort of thing. But part of the advice she'd gotten was being close to friends, so... she'd done it, despite reservations.]

Actually, um... I did.

[She probably didn't expect him to laugh.]

So it wasn't Ven for once? I guess that's good to know.

[He sunk back in to a more comfortable quiet, but only for a minute.]

Hey, can I ask you something?

[She didn't, but it doesn't stop it from being welcome. The surprise on her face fades into something warmer, and she relaxes a little. It's faintly nostalgic, really. Even back home, she hadn't been able to really do this - sit and joke with one of her best friends - for a while.

At his question though, she looks over curiously.]

Sure... what is it?

...we were friends, right? Before, I mean.

[He didn't know what to do with his hands, so he just fussed with his wristband.]

Close friends. Because- well. [He took a deep breath.] What did we do together? I know there's not much to do in this tower, but...there must be something, right?

[Xion blinks in slight surprise, before smiling a little wistfully.]

Well... [Hrm... he... didn't remember the Organization, did he? If he didn't recognize the coats... And yet...] Well... Sometimes, we would have missions together, but... After work we would go to the clock tower and eat sea-salt ice cream together. You, and me and Axel would.

Work? [He gave another snort, then released his legs, letting them stretch out.] Olette had to keep on us to do our homework...I can't imagine having a job.

[Wait. Waiiiiiiiiit a minute-]

The clocktower? In Twilight Town?

[He gave a concerned frown, fussing with his wristband more.] That's...that's where Hayner, Pence, Olette and I go for ice cream.

[Homework? That... that was that thing that Axel mentioned. For kids who had summer vacation.

Part of her can't help but wonder - is he the same as that other Riku? Part of some kind of alternate universe, where he'd never been a part of the Organization? She frowns]

I don't know anybody by those names, but... yeah. In Twilight Town. I think... Axel showed you there first, then you showed me. I was still learning how to do missions, and we'd just finished a tough one. So you showed me the clock tower and we had ice cream there.

[She smiles wistfully]

You called it the icing on the cake.

[Well, great. Now he was trying very hard to think and remember that, but all he could think of was icing and cake. Damnit.]

Um. Well, okay. [Best to start with this, here and now.] All I can remember is hanging out with Hayner, Pence, and Olette. I mean, there were some weird things there, but I can't remember any missions or anything.

[Roxas gave a wistful sigh of his own.] I wonder if that's the stuff I forgot...whatever my job was, with you and Axel. Then again, I was too busy worrying about homework and picture thieves to realize I'd forgotten anything.
