Summary: The temperature keeps dropping, and with the power going on and off it's getting pretty cold. After a couple of good suggestions on her network post, Xion decides to try a group bonfire. More people come than she expects.
Warnings: It's a bunch of cold people huddling around a campfire. Probably not going to be much more than PG

[The fire is set a little ways away from the stairs, on a patch of clearer ground. There's a pile of wood nearby, riskily portaled up from the forest floor. But there's enough there to keep the fire going for a few hours at least.

It's not a roaring bonfire or anything, but it should be enough to keep anyone there warmer, at least.]

[At first, Ven was just happy to be by the fire, warming up and oblivious to the staring; but a glance around and he noticed the brown-haired boy staring at him, so he smiled and gave a small wave.]

Hey, Sora--!

[Hm. Wait. He sure looked like Sora, but something was different. This guy seemed a lot more familiar but for a different reason (and not just because he looked like Vanitas too.

Eh, whatever. He shrugged and rubbed the back of his head, grinning awkwardly.] Uh, if that is your name, I mean. Sorry, you look like someone else I know here.

[derping]

Huh...?

[Hearing his name immediately gets Sora's attention, but it doesn't stop Sora from watching while the other boy talks - his voice is really familiar, too, and Sora still can't for the life of him figure out why.

In the end, he gives up on drawing blanks and shakes his head, a smile returning to his face. Maybe he was just imagining things.]

Nah, you've got it right. That's my name. I'm not sure if I remember meeting you, though.

[And when he says he's not sure, he really means it.]

Met before?

[Wait, this was a different Sora than the one he already knew, wasn't it? Something about him just seemed different; and yet, this one still seemed familiar. Man this was confusing.]

I'm not sure if we have, to be honest. [He rubbed the back of his head and chuckled sheepishly. But nevertheless, offered a hand to shake.] But since neither of seem to be able to remember; Hi, I'm Ventus. Call me Ven.

[derping]

[It's a little too confusing, which is why Sora opts to forget about it altogether. Instead he shakes Ven's hand, just like he would if he was meeting anyone else.]

Nice to meet you, Ven!

[He puts both hands behind his head, leaning to the side and looking as relaxed as could be, despite the confusion.]

Don't worry; if we've met somewhere before, I'm sure it'll come back to us sooner or later.

Exactly! And even if it takes awhile, we can just make friends again until then.

[By now, Ven was sitting by the fire, leaning back on his arms and motioning for Sora to sit as well.]

So, where are you from? How long have you been here?

[derping]

[Sora's more than happy to get close to the fire again, wrapping himself up with blankets once more when he sits down. Funny-looking or not, it's warm, which is really all that he's worried about right now.]

I just got here a few weeks ago. It's been a little too cold to get out much, though.

I'm from Destiny Islands. Ever heard of it?

[He figures that Ven probably hasn't, but it can't hurt to ask.]

Yeah, I've been there before! [A world he actually knew! Awesome!]

I wasn't there for very long, but I remember the beach and the sunset. It must have been nice growing up there.

[And a chuckle.] Don't worry, the Tower doesn't usually get this cold. Usually the weather's not so bad.

[derping]

Really? You have?

[Wow! Maybe they really have met before, if Ven's been to the island.]

Yeah, it's a really nice place. I've always liked it there!

I mean...I want to go see other worlds, too. But it's still my home.

[He laughs, too, the reminder about the cold making him try to wrap the blanket even more tightly around himself.]

I hope you're right. I don't think I could deal with this forever.

[forceless]

[Ven let out a small chuckle.] I know how you feel. I was excited to go see other worlds when I got the chance, but it was nice going home when I got the chance.

[Even if...returning had been under, less than stellar circumstances. But it was still nice to have at least been there again.]

[As if to go with Sora bundling up more, Ven rubbed his hands and help them by the fireplace to warm up a bit as he spoke.]

Heh, I don't think anyone could. Unless you're used to this kind of weather. [Actually Stitch could probably handle it, now that he thought about it.]

Yeah? So, you've traveled to other worlds on your own?

[Other worlds that aren't a weird giant tower? Because that sounds pretty awesome to Sora right now.]

How did you do it?

[He's definitely curious - he wonders whether or not he, Riku, and Kairi were on the right track with the raft.]

I traveled through the Lanes Between with my Keyblade. Check it out.

[He pulled his hands away from the fire and held his right hand out in front of him, summoning Wayward Wind in a flash of light."

I can turn it into a special glider that basically lets me travel through space. There's a lot of Darkness in the Lanes though, so we have to be careful.

IT'S JUST A JUMP...TO THE LEFT!

[Wait. Woah. Wait. This would be Sora looking at you like you just told him the most amazing thing ever, Ventus.]

No way! You can use a Keyblade to go to other worlds?

[Sora summons his own Keyblade without even thinking all that much about it, taking a closer look at it as if doing so will reveal the trick to making it become that glider thing.]

How does it work?

AND THEN A STEP TO THE RII~III~III~IIGHT

[He is both amused by this guy's amazement, and surprised that he also has a keyblade!]

Whoah! I didn't know there were other Keyblade Wielders besides my friends!

[But to the question, he nodded, grinning from ear to ear.] It takes a lot of training, but I'm sure I could show you how if we worked at it!

[He spun his keyblade on the back of his hand, then swung forward and tossed it into the air; when the key was high enough it transformed in a flash of light, and flew back down to Ven's feet as a skateboard-esque glider.] Check it out!

[Sora would have responded to that first comment, but he's distracted by the Keyblade's transformation before the words can escape. He just watches, stunned, and he's pretty sure that this Ventus guy is the coolest person in the room right now. Or...meadow. Whatever this place was.]

You bet I want to learn how to do that! I'll train as much as I need to.

[And just because he loves this thing and maybe showing off a bit, he put a step on the hoverboard to just kind of move it back and forth as if he were rolling it on the ground like a real skateboard.]
