Characters: orphaner dualscar (
orphans) and whoever!
Setting: the dormitory floor or cafeteria; any of the stairs in between
Format: starting with action, but i'll match
Summary: dualscar deals with his curse. or rather, doesn't.
Warnings: innuendo, language, the ability to use this icon icly, and general hideousness
[it was pretty easy to tell something was blatantly askew with him; thus, avoidance of the majority of the tower's floors for sometime. but that newly and mysterious acquired feeling of benevolence towards his peers? the seemingly inherent need to good? to keep peace? the come-ons, ones that would even make his fins curl with distaste, that would tumble from his mouth nigh every time he dared open it?
it was beginning to make him physically sick.
he was hoping this to be just another trick of the tower. though upon noticing no one else seemed to be afflicated as he was, the seclusion had began. however, he can't survive forever in such-- it's actually relatively easy to catch him rushing through hallways, up stairwells, or hurriedly finishing a bowl of oatmeal at a lone table.
feel free to say hi. the orphaner actually won't bite this time.]

either way, the plate remains out for eridan to take hold when he's ready. he'd smile in what is supposed to be a comforting manner, but he's fortunately not that far gone. well, slightly. anyway, he wants to ask if there's something wrong, so:]
I wish you were a door, so I could slam you all day long.
no subject
And stares.
And blinks again.
Goddammit, he was nearly done rebooting his brain, now he's back to:]
...wwat.
no subject
[and it's sincere. he can't stand when that happens, as it always seemed to make the other either uncomfortable or just downright confused. but then he can't feel himself getting angry over it, either.]
Are you all right?
no subject
This is downright mindblowing.
Then a thought occurs to him and he blushes lightly, feeling mortified. He'll be taking that plate now and looking utterly miserable.]
...no, I'm sorry. Oh gog, I'm sorry. I. I thought you wwere someone else.
[...whoops?]
no subject
No need to apologize, I assure you. Would you like me to retrieve you a new plate 'a food?
[only way he can properly repay him for that tragedy, apparently. WHOOPS, FUCKING INDEED.]
no subject
Yeah, I. Probably should.
[He winces.]
...and find something to clean up that mess, too.
[He eyes the mess he made at Dualscar's feet, properly mortified by it.]

he strides past him, cape bellowing out behind him as he does. if the situation weren't quite so ridiculous, it would have the effect he usually intended it for: sinister.]
Let us return, then.
no subject
It's. It's okay. I can go alone.
[Oh fuck, was that rude? That probably was.]
You don't. Have to bother about it, honest.
no subject
really, the orphaner with such an expression... it's nothing short of comical, given the situation. or any situation at all.]
Are you certain?
no subject
Really.
[He's still terrifying.]
I don't want to be a bother.
no subject
If you insist.

[He nods and ducks his head for a moment, before scurrying away. And he's still half tempted to scurry away and never return, actually.]
