Setting: Around the tower (whoops guess I forgot to say this is backdated to before they know of OoT Link and Zelda's deaths)

Summary: WW Link shows MM Link THE WORLD -- I mean. The cool places in the tower.
Warnings: Cute little kids being cute little kids?

[It starts out at the other Link's room, of course - the Hero of Winds standing on his tip toes to knock on the center of the door for him and waiting.]

Ahoy - Forest! It's me!

[He has to put the other down now, yeah. He can lift him like that, sure, but not hold him for long.]

... I think I like you as a Zora better.

[... E-ehehe. He can pick you up like that.]

Zora are less scary than Gorons.

[Here, he'll take the mask off now.]

I like you most as yourself, Forest.

[Hug!]

But, um... I forgot why I brought you to the aquarium...

[... WAIT --
Yeah that was a face of realization, and now he takes off his hat and tunic; revealing a very familiar Golden Scale.]

I remembered - I want to go swimming with you, Forest!
You can swim, right?

[A Zora's scale? But how did he get it if he had only... Well, maybe the ghost gave it to him.]

Yeah, I can swim. I can't hold my breath for long without the Zora Mask, though.

Well, I can't normally either - but Woods gave me this scale to help me, since I gave him my sail.

So we can swim together! It will be really fun, I promise.

[Oh. That makes sense. (He isn't aware of the pang of jealousy deep, deep down.)

He smiles.]

Okay. [And he dons Mikau's mask again.]

[And he shoves his tunic and hat somewhere where they won't get wet, before taking a deeeep breath and diving into the walls of water, turning and giving the other a smile.

... Yeah it's kind of obvious he's not used to swimming underwater, entirely.]

[Well, Link can help with that. :'3 Having access to ALL MIKAU'S ZORA KNOWLEDGE EVER is pretty handy ngl.

He joins the little other in the water, and immediately his subconscious tell him home at last. It's... strange, to step into someone's body and memories and emotions like (painful-to-put-on) clothing. To feel the Zora instincts just under the surface of his own intuition, to know Mikau's emotions are within reach, to be able to read words and move and fight and breathe like he never can without the mask... "Strange" is an understatement, honestly, but it's the closest thing he's got. Bizarre, maybe. Otherworldly.

But none of that matters right present. He needs to focus on the now, on the little boy who has reached out to him on a day where it felt like loneliness was beginning to rise up and take over everything.]

[He... tries to swim forward a bit, but yeah; it's now painfully obvious he's never learned how, aside from treading on the surface to get back to shore.

Aryll was going to teach him how to swim better, but that never happened...

He does get a hold on the other's shoulder though, and pulls himself closer with a smile.

... Perhaps it'd be best if Forest swam and Sea just... hung on for a ride.]

[Hahaha, yeah, they can do that for now.

Also, LET HIM SHOW OFF HOW COOL HE IS, HE CAN TALK UNDERWATER.]

Do you want me to teach you how to swim?

[He almost lets out a bubble of surprise at that, but nods! Yes, that would be awesome!]

[INSERT ZORA-STYLE SWIMMING LESSON HERE??? idk mun doesn't even know how to swim iRL so this is pretty funny actually

ANYWAY YEAH. NOW THEY CAN SWIM AMAZINGLY TOGETHER!!!

that's okay, you're not a Zora. needing air is nbd. they can stop now and then during the lessons so you don't die because wow MM does not need that on his conscience okay]

[Yeah and once he is good and taught, he's going to roll from one section of the aquarium to the other; using it as a way to get air and to play with Forest. c8

He's pretty sure that as a Zora, he can just leap between the walls of water...]

[Yeah, that's easy. See, look at him make an impressive jump from water to water without even breaking his swimming form. Being a Zora is probably one of the coolest things ever okok]

[Yeah, he's pretty sure that Zoras in general are the coolest thing ever.

Don't get him wrong, he adores the Rito tribe, but that is so cool.

He's going to swim around a bit in this section, watching as little fish swim by as well. Tetra's going to be jealous when she sees how good at swimming he's gotten!]

[After he swims a few tight circles, Link relaxes and lets himself float through the water with a sigh. This is... nice. When was the last time he could just let himself have fun like this? He doesn't know.]

[Sea swims back towards his friend then, his hands closed gently around something, and opens it so Forest can see - a little gem-like fish swimming in a little circle before swimming away.

- No fish come back he wanted to show you to Forest! ;A;]

[... oh, wow, how pretty. Link's never seen anything like it before --

Ah! There it goes... :c Bye fishy...]

[Whoops. 8c

He gives Forest an apologetic face, before realizing he hasn't thanked him for teaching him how to swim!! So he swims close, and gives him an underwater hug. c: Yes.]

[Link is about to open his mouth to assure him it's okay, but then Sea's hugging him. Ah -- uh... He'll hug back...

You really like hugs, don't you, Sea?]

[Yes.

Yes he does.

Oh whoops, give him a second for a breath - and then he's back to swimming with you, because this is too much fun, to him. c8

Maybe they can race or something...]

[A race wouldn't even be fair. Maybe they can play "catch the coolest fish in a bottle"?]

[That could work! He's up for whatever Forest wants to do, after all!]
