Summary: You won't like him when he's angry.

[There's something to be said about his wake up call, and that's how utterly furious he appears in visage right now. His helmet is in pieces upstairs-- which utterly defeats the purpose of hiding his features, his expressions. The way his jaw tightens, the narrow set of his eyes, his hands clench; it's all out there, on display. Vulnerability.]

[He isn't happy. He's less happy the more he discovers of how foreign his location is, gaze sweeping every nook and cranny of every room, and it's occupants, before slamming the door and continuing onwards.]

[There's something to be said about waking in such a manner. Powerless to move, powerless to see; barely capable of breathing as things scuffled around him. It's not the creatures that particularly bother him, but the inset of apparent weakness that has him trawling through the desolate, decrepit tower in search of just. one. person.]

[He knows who to blame for this. He knows he's here.]

[And if he finds anything else interesting along the way? Well, that's just an added bonus, isn't it.]

Really? Because I think destroying you along with the X-Blade qualifies as a win on my part. [Yep, he's getting cocky. He's not afraid of you anymore, Vanitas. He's not even deterred by your laugh.]

You really are just a broken record, huh? I have enough power to protect my friends from you. Threaten them all you want, I'll just beat you back again!

[Nonsense. Rubbish. If Ventus was looking to make him laugh, it was certainly working.]

You? Destroy the X-Blade?

Now wouldn't that be something.

[He's even more delusional than Vanitas realized-- not that it mattered. It would all be over soon; now. No more waiting. Xehanort could wait to see the finished product of his union.]

[He'd wittle away at Ventus, until there was nothing left.]

[Darkness creeps around the edges of the floor; say Ventus really was strong enough to take him now. Say that he was. There was still one advantage that Ventus couldn't overcome-- the Unversed.]

[The darkness rings around them, a clear, tight space for their battlefield. Vanitas grins, victorious-- the end is near.]

What did you do?

[Ven didn't really like getting mocked like that, even if he knew it was true. He also didn't like having to fight Vanitas again, even if there was no threat of the X-Blade or hurting his friends. He was however, ready to.]

[He knew Vanitas was ready to fight, and so, with a flurry of light, he waved his arms out in front of him to his sides and summoned Lost Memory.

He was ready.]

[.....Ready.]

[......................Wait.

Oh.]

You....You can't summon the Unversed anymore!

[Oh yes. Hell yes.]

I told you, I defeated you and destroyed the X-Blade! I regained my heart and now you can't summon them!

[Hate.]

[Insurmountable. Growing, Ensaring. Hate. For Ventus, for his emotions, his friends. Their connection, the smile on his smug little face. It's all building up as the question rages on inside his head, expression twisting-- what if Ventus was right?]

I should've done this years ago.

[There's nothing else to be said. He doesn't even bother summoning Void Gear-- no. He springs, colliding with the other, wrapping his hands around his neck and tightning his grip. He'd choke the life out of him, one gasped. breath. at. a. time. Then they'd see who won between the two of them.]

[Ven couldn't help the smug. He really couldn't. He finally had a one-up on Vanitas without having to fight.]

[Of course, the conversation-- could hardly be called a conversation anymore. Ven let out a gasp of shock and pain as he fell to the floor. He could practically feel the hate radiating from Vanitas-- Unversed weren't needed for that-- when his hands closed on his throat.]

[He choked; his hands shot up to grab at Vanitas' trying to pry him off. He was not going to let it end just that easily, oh no.]

G-Get.....Get off....!!

[He's going to have to try much harder than that; Vanitas' hands tighten viciously-- it's hard to tell if he's trying to choke him more than he's trying to snap Ventus' neck. The possibilities for death were endless; which, unfortunately, Ventus was about to find out, if he didn't think fast.]

You're useless, Ventus. To me, to your friends--

[Useless. Shouldn't even exist. It's good to have someone to push the reflections of what you feel for yourself out on, even subconsciously.]

It's time to give up.

[He wanted to just yell at him-- god, there was no one that made Ven angrier than him!-- but he was only stopped by the lack of air and fast approaching feeling of light-headedness.

But of course, his anger simply wouldn't let himself die to Vanitas here and now, of all places and times. With a hack and a glare, Ven shifted his leg and kneed Vanitas in the torso in an attempt to get him off.]
