MEANWHILE, IN THE VERY RECENT PAST
Characters: THE DUDES OF ROOM 1-14, and I guess whoever passes by? :|a
Setting: Room 1-14, before this thread on the network.
Format: Prose, but we can action if you guys want! Whatever works bros.
Summary: Minato is such a lucky guy to have such wonderful roomies.
Warnings: Language, idk what else. WE SHALL SEE.
After falling down a flight of stairs with an unconscious Sollux in tow, Karkat could only assume he'd knocked himself out on the landing. Even worse, when he finally woke up, he couldn't move. Had he managed to fucking paralyze himself in the fall? Because that would be just wonderful.
Wait, no. After those dreadful minutes of sleep paralysis, his eyelids finally obeyed him enough to open and reveal--SURPRISE--a gray ceiling. He sat up slowly hands digging into the soft padded thing he was laying on. What the hell was he doing on a human bed? A glance to the rest of the room assured him that he wasn't alone, if the sound of breathing hadn't already given that away.
This wasn't the troll's hideout on the Veil. Things were too clean, too tidy. No random piles of useless shit as far as he could see. There hadn't been a room like this, either, not that he remembered.
So, where was this? Did Jack arrive and stick them in some random place instead of kill them? Seemed highly unlikely, considering the bastard's glee for killing.
"Fuck, does this mean I'm dead?" He looked at his hands, as if they held the answer to his questions, unsurprisingly finding no such thing.

"If you're dead then I am too. Did I sleep on a brick or something?"

The man had a strange device around his neck, and it only then occurred to Karkat that there was a weight around his own. He reached up to touch the tubes filled with a strange orange liquid--it wasn't his blood filtering through them, at least-- and then slid his fingers behind the metal to tug.
"If by 'brick' you're talking about these fucking collars around our necks, then I'd say yeah, you probably did," he snarled out, still fussing with the collar.

"What the fuck is what, fuckass?" He rolled his eyes and glanced elsewhere, eyes catching the trunk at the foot of his bed.
no subject
"Is that fucking candy corn on your head?"
no subject
"I'm a troll, now shut the fuck up-- no. No. NO. You did not just insult my horns!" Let him show you his snarls and rage now.
no subject
"Maybe I did, whatchya gonna do about it?"

But he was fine with that. He was fine with most things. After all, though he had no way to know how to leave this place yet, he wasn't planning on sticking around the moment he could get back to his team, because he didn't buy this whole 'your world is dead' story very much. He sits up on the edge of his bed, turning the volume down slightly on his mp3 player.
"They're not exactly the world's most comfortable beds, no."
Though that was just his minor opinion, he had slept on worse.

"Are you stoned or something?"
no subject
"No, I'm not."
He didn't take those kinds of drugs. In fact, he was just a very relaxed person at best. That was just how he was. A leader was like that. Ignoring Prussia's rudeness, he goes on to add something.
"You might want to check your things for two letters. Apparently we've been saved or something."
He doesn't buy it, but hey, you know.
no subject
"I call bullshit of being so called saved, if we were saved I wouldn't be rooming with three other dudes."
no subject
"... The arrangements weren't any of our choices. I only arrived here a few days ago, myself."
He supposes he'll save asking what this man meant by that for later. Sometimes it was best not to let one's curiosity get the better of them.
"I doubt they would have notified us for something like this. It is technically against our will."

"This just proves that I'm in purgatory, fucking knew Southern Italy cursed me. Fucking little catholic." Grumbling away to himself as he tugs on the collar before giving up once his neck started to hurt.
"This is bullshit."
no subject
He didn't want to... dwell on it. So he turns to look at Prussia properly, removing a headphone quietly.
"I... doubt you've been cursed. I'm here as well, and so are they," he says, quietly motioning to Karkat and Dave. He doubted it had anything to do with this man's luck or a curse as to why they were here. In fact, he heavily suspected this was a well thought-out kidnapping.
"... My name is Minato, by the way. I didn't catch yours."
no subject
"Shit, gilbird!" he scrambled over the end of his bed, pulling the trunk open before scooping the fuzzy yellow chick into his hands. "How did you get in there?" he pet the little bird before settling it in his hair and looking back at Minato.
"Well, we're here, anyone know what there is to do?"
no subject
What could it hurt?
"... There's a large library and a maze, but it's full of dangerous animals from what I've gathered. They seem to also ask some of us to do jobs for them here, but they're very demanding and dangerous. As far as I'm aware, we'll probably have to make our own entertainment."
It was simple fact at this point that he was an easily pleased person. He'd been spending a lot of time in the library and talking to others, as well as generally people-watching, so it wasn't hard for him to be placated as well as pick up information.

"Awesome, I have my old uniforms!" Any previous discussion was ignored after that as he dug around for his treasures. Which mostly consisted of alcohol and weapons.

Though he is, admittedly, curious as to what sort of history Prussia had. Though he wasn't sure if now was the proper time to ask about it.
"They were able to give us some of our things on short notice, it would seem."
It was better than nothing, since he would have admittedly been bothered had he not had his Evoker and things.
