on the hunt
Characters: Ken Amada and open.
Setting: The Meadow and The Forest. Or catch him on the stairs! Just tell me where. Night.
Format: Action
Summary: It's training time. Ken's spear still isn't fixed, but he's got his Evoker. Time to hunt Shadows.
Warnings: Possibly dark subjects. Also shooting yourself in the head. :|b
[He's been still for too long. Going out at night, hunting Shadows… he's missed it. So quietly, as to not wake anyone, he heads out of his room and down the stairs, looking for something to fight.]
[And he finds it. Blobs of Shadow, there in a corner and over there, too - and the quick movement of a Shadow with too much speed. Lifting his Evoker to his forehead, he fires, summoning Nemesis, dispatching a few with Hama and frying a few more with Zionga.]

Even while dealing with monsters.]

Nope, not going to dwell on it. He glances back, raising an eyebrow as Tam Lin strikes out with Deathbound. Isn't like he has anything to strike with himself other than his fists, right now.]
Something on your mind?

Barong seems to dance around, striking monsters with a Heat Wave]

I only know what a friend mentioned, and how I'm able to use Personas in the first place. [Would he believe him about the Velvet Room, unlike the friends he pretty much figured couldn't see the door like everyone else in town? He spares another glance before paying attention to the creatures around them once again. Feel free to ask for specifics.]
no subject
[He wonders who is that friend, as well as whether Yu can see the Velvet Room. Go through the velvet door, too. The team couldn't see it back when he first enter Tartarus. So he keep it to himself, since it might make them question his sanity.]
Does your friend help you with Personas?
no subject
[They're just dancing around the topic now, and his gaze ends up calling on Minato again. He's starting to wonder about his roommate, now- well, what's the worst thing that could happen.]
Did you ever see a door no one else could?
no subject
I've seen a velvet blue door around.
no subject
Then it seems we have one friend in common, at least.
no subject
To think someone else, who is not him or her, knows about the Velvet Room and have the Wild Card. It's reassuring.]
Knowing him, he's a great help...even if he's cryptic sometimes.
no subject
You mean "most of the time," and not being forthcoming with the information, but instead letting you figure it out for yourself? [There's a faint hint of amusement, though he still wondered... could Minato be the one she mentioned?]
no subject
That's right. Either him or Elizabeth. [Does Yu know Elizabeth as well?]
no subject
Was he really the one--his predecessor?] You're the one she...
[He shakes his head.] Margaret mentioned her sister, but I never really met her. She'd left the Velvet Room by the time I was invited.
no subject
...I didn't know Elizabeth have a sister.
no subject
Guess the residents of that place have their secrets, too. [He pauses, watching the two Personas from the corner of his eye. How to subtly try and find out if they were from the same universe...]
According to Margaret, Elizabeth left the Velvet Room looking for a way to save a soul who devoted himself to becoming a seal. [If his suspicions are correct, then...]
no subject
[Unfortunately, Minato's from a time before it and no one ever told him of the future. Here or in the Underworld. His team back in the Underworld, the ones who knows, never mentioned it to him.]
Elizabeth wouldn't do that unless it's someone very important to her... [The realisation is almost there. Just a little more for him to connect.] ...Me?
no subject
There's a certain air of guilt hanging about him for even mentioning it. He got to live, even if it meant temporary separation from his friends. ...Why had that been the only thing Margaret mentioned?!]
I don't know. She never once mentioned a name. [At least that was true. Though, his eyes say something else: sorry.]
no subject
[If his guess is true, then in the future back home, he would become a seal. A seal for what, he don't know. But if he knows himself, it must be important enough to give himself up for.
How strange. Here, he's been worrying about keeping people alive as much as possible...and he might have learn that he have his own death. Not one by the Tower, or the Gods, but his own choice. Isn't that what it means to "devoted" himself?]
no subject
If there was a way, he would find it. Any way at all to help set things right so that whatever danger he'd become a barrier to guard all of humanity from would be stopped yet he could continue on with his friends.
None of this was fair.]
...If it is, I'm sorry you had to find out through me. [-mental Chie-kick to himself.]
no subject
If that moment when he become a seal draws nearer, he'd probably make the same choice. Against who, he don't know, but if it's for his friends...]
It's alright... You didn't mean it, Yu. [A small smile.] But thank you for letting me know.
[It make sense now.]
no subject
He collects his thoughts, shoves his feelings aside because it doesn't matter as much as Minato's. ...Why was he thanking him, though?]
Minato...
no subject
[Minato smiles. So this is the truth they try to hide from him. His friends back in the Underworld.
And he was so blissfully ignorant of their pain, every time they see him.]
no subject
Truth can be a painful thing, and hadn't he chosen to face it anyway? ...He only hoped their guesses were wrong.]
...What year was it, back home?
no subject
It's 2009 for me.
no subject
[So if Minato ever wondered if it had been something his friends had or hadn't done, it wasn't and more than likely after both their times if it were the case. Though, there was that one time- no, he was not going to think back on that possibility. But still, he pulls out a pair of grey glasses from his pocket and holds them out to the one who came before him.]
...Here. Because of my Persona, I no longer need these to see.
[He offers a smile, however faint. It was one of the last things he had of a close friend, but he doesn't mind. The memories and the picture they took together is enough.]
no subject
But Yu's giving them to him. Minato feels...honoured by the gestured.]
If you don't mind me holding onto them.
[He smiles back, holding the folded glasses in his right hand.]
