The Bruised E/Shoutarou Won't Admit It
Characters: Shoutarou and YOU.
Setting: Cafeteria, Dorms, or somewhere in between, including stairwells.
Format: Starting prose, but cool with matching.
Summary: After his run-in with Mistress 9, Shoutarou seeks painkillers and ice for the killer bruise he's gonna be hosting for a bit. Why do the infirmary and cafeteria have to be so far from the dorms?
Warnings: Nothing to start.
First stop, the kitchen - hunt down a plastic bag. Fill it with ice. Now, Shou gingerly holds it against his chest, and tries to pace himself up the stairs to the infirmary. Get some asprin or something similar here, and then stubbornly try to make it up the stairs to the dorms...
...and arrive a half-hour-ish later from taking his time. That took a lot more effort and time than he would've preferred, but he's stubborn. Shou stumbles to his room, and carefully lays down on his bed, hat resting over his face, icepack on his chest with a pained groan. He left the door open, though.
[Feel free to encounter him at any point - if you're in medical, you're welcome to try and detain him - he's pretty damn headstrong, though.]

...Mister, erh... Do you need help?
no subject
...uhm...
[Unfortunately, his pride is louder than his sense.]
...no, no, I got this.
[He is a terrible liar.]

[This is what you get for phrasing it as a question, Cornet!
She frowns at him. There was courtesy, but then there was health, and she tries to value the latter over the former. Obviously her only available course of action is to climb after him anyway.
So she does.]

Guess I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.
no subject
That's right!
...I'm not a horse, though.
no subject
Thanks, kiddo.
[Sigh.] ...though, uh, it's a figure of speech. I know you're not a horse.
no subject
Eheh! Just making sure you had that straight.
[--Oh man these stairs. How did he expect to get up them alone. There are like, a ton of them. Cornet hasn't done anything particularly strenuous besides this today and she still finds them draining.]
no subject
[Shoutarou laughs, though it is a shallow one, given the condition he's in.] If you think I might be able to easily mistake you for a horse, then I think you might have the bigger issue at hand, miss.
no subject
If I've gotta be like an animal, though, horses aren't too bad!
Heyyy, wait. I caught that. You shouldn't insult someone who's helping you, y'know.

Are you okay? Do you feel lightheaded? How bad is it?

Is there anything I can do for you?

[Shoutarou pushes his hat up off his face, half-smirking.] Yeah, tell the staff that this is the worst hotel I've been in. Having to go to the bottom floor for some damn ice is just wrong.
no subject
...are you sure that's all? Be honest with me. I'm good at seeing through lies.
no subject
[A sigh comes from him, that turns into a pained wince.]
I'd be in a hell of a lot more pain if I'd broken anything, wouldn't I?

Shou? I hadn't noticed the tower temperature going up...?
no subject
Nice job blowing your cover, Shou.

She carefully removes the ice pack and without so much as an 'excuse me' begins to open his shirt.
no subject
Before he can protest, his shirt is open, and Francisca will find herself staring at a large, saucer-size bruise on his chest. "...some bedside manner you've got there."
no subject
Her eyes snap up for a moment to narrow as she examines his face. "And I swear by all that is holy that if you so much as think about using the running into a door or falling down the stairs excuses-"
no subject
Time to try and recover some face, though.
He looks back at her, expression serious. "Some new girl thought she'd blast out of the windows, and I was in the wrong place at the wrong time when the beam ricocheted."
no subject
Men, she thinks with a roll of her eyes, placing the ice pack over the bruise. "Which is worse, the bruise on your chest or the one on your ego?" she teases.
no subject
"You see through me again..."
