[You might be wondering what Cornet has been up to. There are a myriad of possible answers to that question, most of them a variant on 'weird jRPG protagonist stuff,' like checking every semi-interesting object for hidden goodies. The little disasters such snooping can bring you here in Animus have taught her to curb those habits, sort of.
She's not quite settled in to this unsettling place, but she's ready to be social! Social, in Cornet's case, involves snooping around high-traffic areas while humming a jaunty tune. It's kind of repetitive. It will probably really annoy you. She's not doing it on purpose, promise.
If she spots you, prepare to be associated!]

But oh, the author digresses! Woe is she.
In the meantime, yes. Ienzo is wandering around the dormitory levels, he is doing some good old exploraratin' (though havens forbid he ever use such a... well, crude term for it). And he hears singing.]
...?
[No one in this tower had shown an interest in singing. And the song sounded... somewhat familiar. (Unbeknownst to him, this is because all JRPG music sounds basically the same, and he has spent his life in a world from one of the most prominent JRPG developers ever.) So of course, exploraration-y tiems must be had.]

Cornet has mostly learned the layout of the lower floors, so at the very least she could give directions like a champ. This is nothing compared to the legendary copy-paste maze caves of Marl Kingdom.
Her humming of her own overworld theme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KunB07uyca0&feature=related) trails off in the middle of the soaring part that always leaves her breathy. Oh, look! There's a person!]
♪ Hello~! ♫
OOC: If you want me to turn off the non-capitalized-ness, tell me. He's just super quiet orz.
...!
[For a moment there, his only real form of response is a startled blink, until he realizes that being in this tower requires him to actually... talk. Erk. The kid's never really been in a position where he needs to say anything that doesn't directly relate to sciencey nonsense, so this whole tower incident has been a bucket of awkward.
So obviously the best thing to do is go walking around the common areas where someone is more likely to see him! Obviously.]
...oh. hello...
whatever works for the character! =)
♪ It's nice to--! ♫ ...It's nice to meet you. I was wondering if I'd see anyone before having to give up for the day, eheh!

[Hypocrite.]

W, welllll. I have to figure out who everybody is sometime. Else I'll have trouble remembering names.
[Cornet looks chastised, even with her justifying. Oh gosh she probably comes off as really snoopingly snoopy ohhh noooooo.]
no subject
[Hmm. It seems that Ienzo has just now realized the extent of his hypocrisy, and so cannot make a comment on that one. But he still looks totally stoic as usual which will probably send the worst possible message.
And DON'T WORRY CORNET! Ienzo scolds things allllll the time. It's just because of his upbringing (seriously, his life has been an endless river of "Stand straighter!" and "Stop overreacting!" and whatnot). He doesn't mean it... most of the time. Well okay he does mean it. But it's all for your own good, honest! ...Ienzo is not all there either.]
...how long have you been here?
[Because he hasn't seen her at all in the (admittedly short) time he's been around, ninjaing all over the place. And yet the way she worded that makes it seem like she's been here awhile. Hmmmm.]
no subject
I've been here, but... I haven't really talked to anyone. Took me a while before I felt up to it, I guess.
[That question made her uncomfortable, albeit in a different way than Ienzo's quiet stare. Being able to say she's been here a while is like saying she's been away from where she's supposed to be for a while, too.
And let's not even get into the apocalypse thing.]

[He tilts his head slightly at her statement, in lieu of a spoken response. The meaning somehow manages to be fairly clear: "Why is that?" Welcome to the world of Ienzo's head, Cornet -- you can and will be put on the spot at any given moment, and he will never look satisfied with the answer, ever.]

I probably shouldn't have done that, ♪ yeah! ♫ I mean, it's always better to get out and know people in case you need ♪ help! ♫ But it's hard to always be ♪ friendly and nice, though I certainly try--! ♫

...i see. [Okay not really. Because seriously, it was half-about trying to be constantly friendly and nice, which is a foreign concept to grumpypants over here. Though the other part made some sense...]
no subject
..I-I'm glad that made sense!
[This kid has a skill for making her entirely unnerved, in a non-creepy way.]
OOC: Aaaah silent character is silent. ; ; Sorry!

[Doesn't mean that he's going to make conversation or something, though. Nope.]
nah, this is fun BD
Anyway, she's officially gotten to the point where she realizes blubbering out whatever comes into her head is just making her look worse.
So you know what?
She's challenging you to an ellipsis fight. As a jRPG protagonist, Cornet's not unfamiliar with the art!]
