4th Floor

[Kanaya had carried her sewing machine to the 4th floor to get some work done and to get her mind off of things. It's been a while since she let herself just sit and sew, take her mind off of things.]

[She threads her needle and readies her black fabric, the familiar action was calming and even though she had no particular plan in mind, she began]

[Until the needle snapped]

How unfortunate. It seems there is no relaxing here.


7th Floor

[It wasn't outside but it would do. The forest the floor below had set of an instinctual mental warning, a forest in a building was wrong and asking for troubles. While the pool wasn't much better, it seemed a tad safer.]

[Not that she was worried about her life. If she were to die, she died but prolonging her life may prove advantageous for others in the future]

[For now she took off her flats, placing them neatly by her side, pulled up her skirt a bit, and dipped her feet into the water.]

[In retrospect, she should have brought a book]

Minami, having been around a few days, had definitely seen Kanaya around the tower and in her room, even said hello to her a few times once the outright gawking and staring at her appearance stopped. Today she was exploring once again when she saw the other girl by the edge of the pool.

Yes, she stared for a few moments, but then decided she might as well get to know the other girl a bit better. With a smile on her face, a look that meant she was trying way too hard not to be weirded out by her strangeness, and a wave, she approached her by the edge of the pool.

"Hi! Kanaya, right?"

Kanaya had noticed her staring, she got used to it during her time here. Luckily it didn't bother her much. She was calm unlike some of the others who would confront her about it.

She turns to Minami, "Correct, and you are Minami, another of my roommates," she says calmly.

Hey, at least Minami's making an effort about it. She can summon whole pantheons by shooting herself in the head. Someone being an alien might take work, but she's not going to let it phase her.

"That's right. I.... Well, I thought maybe we could hang out a bit? Get to know each other since we're going to be stuck here for a while."

She studies her face for a moment before patting the ground next to her, "As we are trapped here together and share a room together it would be wise to become acquaintances."

Maybe friends eventually, but that would be later.

And Minami pulls off her shoes and sits next to her, dipping her feet in the pool beside her.

"Pretty much. So.... uhhh...."

Wow. Where to even start in a conversation like this? Humans were easy, but someone so completely inhuman?

Maybe if she thought of it a bit like talking to Igor, or Theo, or Pharos, it'd be easier to do.

"I like your hair. The style really suits you."

Instinctively she brought her hand to her hair, "I try to keep it functional, it also adds a sense of class I believe."

She smiles at her a bit, "Are you interested in fashion Minami? Where I am originally from I am the only who is."

4th floor

[fifty]

Well, this place sucks.

[He sounds petulant, and is just walking in, so it takes a second before he sees the girl he's talking to.]

Hey, are you an alien?

[She looks up at him]

On the contrary I am a Troll.

Well I guess alien doesn't mean much here. What're you doing?

[she motions to the sewing machine]

Sewing, although I'm not making anything in particular. Do you require anything? [she pauses] I would need to acquire another needle.

Not really, I guess, but I could help you look.

[He's kind of subdued, not that Kanaya would know that wasn't normal.]

[To her knowledge America is kind and calm. And she has no problem with that. In fact, she prefers it!]

I re-purposed a needle form the medical ward but as you can see it proved to be an unsuccessful venture. Do you have another idea?

7th Floor

[Hope you weren't enjoying being dry, Kanaya. Because Vriska is totally sneaking up behind her and shoving her into the pool.

She'd been exploring the tower looking for exits and answers for the umpteenth time, but it didn't hurt to get a little sidetracked by shenanigans. And it was Kanaya. She liked coming up with excuses to bug her since they hadn't talked much during the game.]

[Kanaya is in the pool. And she's not happy about it.]

[She breaks the surface of the water with a scowl on her face]

[And Vriska is laughing so hard. Oh man, it was definitely worth taking time out of her busy schedule to troll Kanaya. It was worth it for the look on her face.

Grinning widely and smugly.]

Was there a reason for disturbing me and pushing me into the pool?

[She rakes her fingers through her hair to get the water out, then rings her skirt and shirt, trying to get as much as the water out as possible. But it was still uncomfortable so she turns away from Vriska and removes her shirt to try and dry it]

That was rather inconsiderate of you, I was enjoying a peaceful moment.

4th Floor~

[The lounge was interesting. It was nice to get a view, even if it was just a bunch of dark clouds. She's not quite comfortable going too close to the glass, though.

Oh hey it's a monstergirl using a sewing machine. Well. A monstergirl who WAS using a sewing machine...]

[Kanaya didn't mind the glass. She would mind being called a monstergirl to her face, although she could just correct, calmly. Possibly a scary calmly.]

I wouldn't call a place that kidnapped me during an important time lucky by any stretch of the imagination. While our captors may believe us to be lucky, as they potentially saved us, I do not believe such.

[Luckily for Kanaya, Rose had had the same idea, and had brought a book. It was rather small compared to her usual affair, yet still thick enough to intimidate the casual reader. This, to her, was her definition of 'light reading'. It seemed to be some sort of fantasy novel from the look of the title, and she had it tucked under her arm as she wandered towards the water.]

Ah... Kanaya.

[Her eyebrows arched in surprise-- pleasant surprise, that is.]

I see we had the same idea of how to occupy our time, did we? May I join you? [It was still so odd to see Kanaya in person. Almost surreal.]

[Rose had thought farther ahead it seems. The size of the book did not intimidate Kanaya in the least, on the contrary she was a tad intrigued and interested in the contents of such novel.]

[She looks up at the sound of her voice]

[And Rose is carefully settling down next to her, smoothing her dress and pulling her shoes off. She tests the temperature of the water with a toe, then slowly emerges them.]

I brought a few things from home, it appears. Not that its particularly necessary, due to the large library this tower possesses.

No books from home were provided to me, although they were kind enough to permit me my sewing machine and fabric, sans needles unfortunately. But I have repurposed some medical needles which are proving to be difficult to maneuver. I wonder if the library contains rainbow drinker books.
