Summary: Riku needs to talk to/reassure/warn/interrogate certain people. This feeling may or may not be mutual, so TL;DR is unavoidable.
Warnings: Can't think of anything right now, will add as needed!

[With all that has happened, it's impossible not to leave things be as they are; so much is clear. Whether Riku will find you or you'll find him, is not really important at this point - somehow you'll surely find an opportunity to meet.]

[To Riku it looks like a curious blend between Sora's and his own fighting styles... which really isn't that much of a surprise, not given the difference between their universes. Though indeed... he should probably make himself notable. Hm... it's been a while since he's sparred with anyone aside of Stein.

He crooks his head as he lifts his right hand, air crackling slightly as he summons Soul Eater.]

Care for company?

[keybearer]

[Oho. Well, the moment he hears that crackling in the air, he whips around. Within seconds, he's smirking at his double, propping the Keyblade against his shoulder.]

Hey, it sure beats sparring with thin air.

[He smirks himself, for just a second, as he slides into stance, blade high in the air and left arm extended, fingers curling up in a small wave; an invitation to attack.]

[keybearer]

[Attack, eh? Well, all right. He'll slide into an attack, though he knows better than to do so unprepared.

Riku knows how he fights well enough that he can expect a counter or something like that the moment he draws close enough.]

[He knows him to well, huh? (What ironic statement considering that they are, in some way, the same person.)

Letting the smirk slip away in favor of a more impassive expression, his palm turning outwards as he channels magic into a shield, the air shimmering lightly as he invokes the spell.]

[keybearer]

[A shield, huh? Well, it's a smart tactic in deflecting his blow, and when his Keyblade collides with it, Riku slides back and assumes a defensive stance.

Well played, double. Very well played.]

[And good that he pulled back instead of getting a taste of Riku's counter.

He changes the grip on his weapon a little, making it easier to snap it up as he slides forward, bringing the Soul Eater down against the other's Keyblade. It's his turn to attack now.]

[keybearer]

[Well played. The moment Riku brings the Soul Eater down, his double slides back in recoil. However, he's quick to push forward with a counter strike.]

[This time he doesn't draw back into defense, pushing right back into that counter - he is not going to back down now.]

[keybearer]

[Now that's more like it. Grinning, Riku launches himself into a bit of Ars Arcanum. Enjoy those fast combos, double!]

[Nothing he doesn't already know from Sora. He steps back as he moves to block or dodge the strikes, taking those that do connect in a stride, bringing his left hand up again before the last hits of the attack, conjuring his shield again.]

[keybearer]

[The moment his Keyblade strikes the shield, Riku once again rolls back. But if he's gonna play defensive, why not do the same? After a moment, the wind surrounding him starts to whirl around. Aeroga sure comes in handy, huh?]

[Again, nothing he hasn't seen already - but definitely troublesome. In an actual fight, this would be the point where he would reach deeper into his darkness and use it for more than just defense, but in a sparring match that does seem rather overkill.

So he just braces himself for the additional damage, backing off just a little to get better footing; Soul Eater high and ready, but he is in no hurry to start attacking again.]

[keybearer]

[And, just like his double, this Riku's waiting patiently to see what he does. After all, he knows some pretty neat tricks. Who knows what else he can do?]

[Right now, there is not much to see... this Riku is perfectly fine with keeping the distance and continuing to wait.]

[keybearer]

[Well, somebody has to make a move, so...

Without warning, he rushes forward into a forward dash, unleashing Sonic Blade.]

[justabignobody]

[He really isn't holding back much, huh? Well, Riku wouldn't want to have it any other way. He readies himself again to block and dodge as much as possible, or even break the attack pattern if he gets the chance.]

[keybearer]

[Given that he's a competent fighter, blocking or interrupting are both viable options. Either way, once his combo's interrupted, he'll slide back and wait for his double's next move.]

[justabignobody]

[There won't be a next move though... at least not in regards of their fight; he has a fair idea of the other's skill now and if this goes any further he might be tempted to rely on his darkness for more than just defensive measures. Which really, he'd rather like to avoid.

It doesn't take more than a twist of his wrist to send Soul Eater back to the place within himself, his stance relaxing from battle ready into something still alert and serious, but not quite as on edge.]

We need to talk.

[keybearer]

[And, just like that, Riku lowers his arm, allowing the Keyblade to vanish in a flash of light. With that, he'll place his hand on his hip, keeping his eyes locked on his double.]

I'm all ears.

[justabignobody]

[He hesitates a moment, head turning a little as if to listen for something... then he steps closer, his voice low. He really doesn't want certain people to know what he hopes they are about to discuss... and in this floor sounds carry far.]

...How much do you know about Ansem?

[He needs a starting point after all.]

Enough to hate him.

[Riku's brow furrows, and he lets out a sigh.]

Tried to spread darkness throughout the worlds, performed crazy darkness experiments, attempted to take over my body, and eventually got burned by the light in Kingdom Hearts.

[He nods to himself.]

Anything about his background?

[He shakes his head.]

Nothing that wasn't covered in the reports.

[He nods again; he's wanted a starting point and he's certainly got it now.]

...Ansem... or rather the man we know under that name, is a fake. He was an apprentice under the ruler of Hollow Bastion... Radiant Garden, the real Ansem, and only took it up shortly before becoming a Heartless. His true name is Xehanort.
