1st Song ☠ | Introduction
Characters: Eikichi (Michel) and whatever poor sap would like to talk with him.
Setting: And floor, all the corridors, day and night, it's all up to you, he'll be running around.
Format: I started in prose, but you can pick a style, and I'll match it!
Summary: Eikichi finds himself in the tower and everything is terrible.
Warnings: Eikichi is a warning onto himself.
Victory had never been so bittersweet. After defeating the Great Father, finding out the entire thing had been a bet between Philemon and Nyarlathotep, the world destroyed and with Maya stuck by the spear ending her life, all that had remained was a chance giving to them to go back in time. However, they'd have to give up their memories their friendships of each other. Considering the fate of the world and their friend was at stake, it was a heavy price that Eikichi did not mind to give up willingly. After all, friendship was more powerful than the bonds of space and time, he thought and even if they had not met as children, he was certain they'd see each other one day again.
But now, here he was, inside a tower and a note that his world had been destroyed. No shit, it had been destroyed. Needless to say, Eikichi wasn't too pleased. Goddamnit, all of this, everything around him, a cruel joke, ALL FOR NOTHING?! Had this been Philemon's fault...oh just wait until that butterfly masked asshole came to talk again, he was going to get a fist to the face.
Well, now that he was here, he could make the most of it, he supposed. Eikichi wasn't expecting to find his friends - what with the word having ended, after all, and somewhat guilty that he still had his memories intact. Hopefully the world ending hadn't been his fault. He'd never forgive himself--yeah best not to think about it. He opened up his trunk and found his guitar case in thirty or so smaller pieces. Yet it looked somewhat easy to rebuilt, even for him, and before long the pieces clamped together like a jigsaw puzzle. The Lgendary Guitar Case was made whole again. Swinging it over his shoulders, he closed the door to his room, and walked out.

[You know...this does leave him with an interesting question in his head.]
...mind telling me what year it is? Or at least what year it was for you...

[...along with being a natural powerhouse and the only wild card, but shh. Details~ Though that question doesn't leave him surprised at all.]
2012. Though for most of the others, I'm willing to bet it was around 2009 or so for them. [Time is... rather convoluted here, with alternate timelines and realities ever-present.]

Man! That's like...[Please wait while he counts mentally in his head.] A whole thirteen years more than me! I'm from 1999!

Well if you're from the future, Yu, Michel has a question that needs an answer!

Have you heard of the band Gas Chamber?
[Please say yes, please say yes, please say yes!]

'Are you kidding?'] My older cousin would blare their music when I stayed with her family.

JUST

...come here let him grab you Yu in a bear hug.]
HA! HA HA HA! We made it!
I knew we could make it!
Man I'll have to up my practice, and Tatsuya and Jun better be in this tower somewhere...

Heh! Sorry 'bout that. Nice to know that they're popular...

That you're popular, you mean?

Not just Michel, bro! His entire team too...Tatsuya...Jun...and then there's Miyabi! She's my babe you know, and Yukino a good fighter and despite her attitude, Ginko's a good friend. Then there's Big Sis Lisa and...
[He suddenly stops speaking, as if the names are hitting him pretty hard.
...his friend aren't here.
And suddenly, brought from his greatest joy, he sinks to the bottom and feels pretty alone.]
...s-sorry. I think I got something in my eye...
no subject
...I know how you feel.
[Alice changes places with Izanagi-no-Okami as he speaks. It's easy to understand loneliness when separated not just from those you care for, but those who know what it's like- who have fought by your side from the beginning of the journey. He holds out a handkerchief.]
At one time, I was left alone too... [The smell of death itself, feeling the skeletal claws rise up from the ground beneath his feet, watching as one-by-one they shoved him out of harm's way and succumbed to it them sel- no. He will not think back on what causes his nightmares.] But in the end, even those who are lost or missing for the moment can be found again.
They may even appear here at some point. Maybe not all of them, but we're never alone.
[All of those he'd bonded with taught him that.]
