Characters: AU!Zelda and Linebeck
Setting: Meadow floor!
Format: Action because I'm still lazy.
Summary: Zelda promised to take her new friend on a relaxing picnic a while ago, so she's going to keep up that promise!! Shenanigans ensue.
Warning: Is Linebeck a warning
[Well - she promised him a nice picnic, and it'd be unheroic of her to go against a promise, right? Even if she has no clue what he might be up to...
She dons her cloak, though - mostly in case she runs into unsavorables along the way - but knocks on Linebeck's door, a basket full of good food slung over one of her arms.]

Mister Linebeck! It's Zelda!

[acquiring pants and shirt, then opening the door. He looks down and recognizes the girl]
Miss Zelda! What brings you here?
no subject
Well, I had promised you a picnic when we met, but ah...
If you are too tired, I can always plan it for another time?
[This is the most sympathetic look, Linebeck. Must be hard having a room like that...]

[he closes the door, then quickly pulls together the rest of his outfit. He forgoes his coat and cravat, but not his flask. Hopping into his boots, he goes back out to the hallway again]
I'm fine. I need to wake up anyway. A picnic you say? [She couldn't be much older than the kid, and she was just as generous and giving] To that meadow, then.
no subject
physically at least
But she does look a tad surprised, before smiling again and giving him a nod.]
Right - let's be off, then.
[She turns to walk, before stopping for a second - only to turn to him once more and offer her free hand.]

He pauses and blinks, but then takes it, carefully.]
So, what'd you pack?
no subject
Whenever she's not mentally jailbait.
But she walks side by side with him now, looking at the basket on her arm.]
Lunch-like foods, mostly. I've made sandwiches for the both of us, as well as packed fruit and a couple bottles of milk.
I hope that's all alright with you?
no subject
But for now, he just holds her hand in his calloused one, keeping in step with her and trying to fight off a yawn]
That sounds great. [a pause] You didn't have to do this, you know.
no subject
[That gets a smile from the heroine, as she leads him down to the meadow.]
You seem like you have had a hard life, Mister Linebeck; any bit of relaxation must be a lovely thing for you.
no subject
but not that bad]
The life of an adventurer is quite tiring!
no subject
[She's done so much, and she's only nine......... or well, sixteenish, whatever. Details, details.]
And so, giving you a chance to relax is the least I can do for you.
no subject
Well I'm sure it's something you need, too.
no subject
[Hence why she offered in the first place!!
Also it's cool if you want to timeskip to the meadow floor]no subject
This place is peaceful, as usual. There need to be more floors like this.
