[1st Evil Meeting] || [One Reunion to bring them All] || [Open]

Characters : Open to any and every villain in the tower
Setting: Thirteenth Floor (Cathedral)
Format: Prose for the reunion, but Action for the individual threads
Summary: Ganondorf decided to organize a reunion for all good people in the tower to coordinate and cooperate. He’s not the kind to go and recruit people one by one, so he spread the rumor that a reunion was about to happen on the 13th floor, this way all bad guys could get word of it. Here is the reunion. More details here.
Warnings: EVIL. If a good guy interrupts the reunion he’ll be killed or worst.

The Cathedral was different. It had changed; it could be seen and felt. Usually this floor was bright, enlightened even; a quiet and undisturbed haven where souls could find rest. Yet today the ancient church was dark, as if it night had fallen, moonlight filtered through the stained glasses. A black smoke filled the entire room, while an eerie music could faintly be heard throughout the entire floor. Maybe Ganondorf recorded it from the Musical Floor, thinking this would be fitting. Or maybe it was- …Something else? But what? Nobody would ever know.

In the center of the floor were over ten chairs, all of them identical and arranged in circle. It was so that those sitting could speak to each other directly and freely. Some of them might be stained by blood, but otherwise they were all identical. Ganondorf had figured it wouldn’t be a good start if he had given different chairs to everyone.

Speaking of him, Ganondorf was obviously the first one at the meeting- After all, he had organized it. He was sitting, calmly waiting for the others to arrive while reading a most questionable book about evil forces.

Oh, near the entrance newcomers may notice Legolas’ body lying on the ground, a sword impaled through his chest and a pool of blood extending around him. He had not been invited.

Richtofen leaned back in his seat, one leg crossed over the other, his leg bouncing idly as he listened to the others. How very quaint. It sounded like he was a part of some sort of children's story, where all of the big bad evil people gathered around to discuss how best to make the world a worse place together. He didn't object to such a goal, of course, but it was all very... lavish.

He sat forward and gestured first to Ghirahim, then to Majora. "I agree with the sparkly man and the little girl."

Despite the fact that he was attempting to enter into an alliance with said people, Richtofen apparently had no qualms with using less-than-friendly names for the others. In his defense, what else was he supposed to call them? He'd never met them before, so he didn't know their names.

He also didn't bother to apologize or ask what their names were; he just kept talking.

"It sounds like a good deal. I help you, you help me, he helps her, she helps him. We make life hell for certain people..." He grimaced, quite clearly thinking of someone in particular. "...and have as much fun as we can here. I don't see the bad side."

He shrugged and sat back. He had no problem working with someone, as long as they helped him out. There was always a chance he'd end up backstabbing them, of course, but they didn't need to know that.

Reno listened to the others, then finally shook his head after Ritchofen finished.

"You people are all missing a pretty big point." His voice was slightly louder now, but only enough to carry; he wanted to be sure they were all listening. "I'm hearing a lot about people, conflicts that existed on other worlds, and plans when you get home. Who gives a rat's ass about that, or the 'goody two-shoes'" he had no idea what that actually meant, "or the heroic types. You're talking so much about stupid shit in and out of the Tower, that you're forgetting the damned Tower itself."

Shifting in his seat, getting a little more comfortable and crossing one leg lazily over the other, he continued, "Forget wars, and the other crap. There's people who don't even have their enemies here." Like him, for example. "Forget the plans you got back home. It's not important."

Lifting a hand, he gestured in the general direction of the staircase. "There's one big goal we all have in common. Getting the hell out of this place and back home. I'm pretty sure all of us can agree on that."

To be honest, this place was bad enough without feuds and power struggles in the Tower. If something happened, then it happened. They didn't need to go provoking anyone and distracting from more important things. Besides, if it was just that kind of bullshit the alliance was going to be for, there was no reason for him to stay around. "Now, unless I'm wrong, we're all pretty damn powerful in our own right. If we got that much power, why waste it on something that isn't gonna get us out of here? If other shit happens, then we'll deal with it, but it shouldn't be the priority."
temptestament: (Yeah yeah I got it boss.)

Allen's attention turned to Reno and he couldn't help but smile a bit in approval behind his mask. Maybe he wasn't the only one here with sense. He crossed his legs, completely ignoring the fact that his leg armor should make it incredibly difficult to do so.

"You'd be surprised how helpful the 'goody two-shoes' can be when you have a mutual problem, but that's a side point. The redhead's right, unless anyone here's a masochist-" an idea he wasn't ruling out, since he did personally know one back home, but he hoped none of the people here were that crazy. "-none of us want to be here."

He looked around, tilting his head enough to get everyone in view without making it too obvious who exactly he was looking at. They all seemed fairly egotistical. He could use that.

"Not to mention, I'm used to taking orders, but some of you don't really look like the types who exactly like to be under any kind of control but your own."

Hmmn.

While he did prefer to have lackeys of his own rather than rely on allies, they could be useful.

Ganondorf's words, as a re-stating of what others said were somewhat reassuring. Granted, he wasn't going to be very quick to trust in depth, but just a little for now couldn't hurt too much.

"Very well, then. In the interest of eventually quashing those fools out there, I will support this alliance." At heart, he is still a conqueror, after all.

[personal profile] fallen_stage 2012-05-01 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
At least someone was taking the lead, and Kuja was used to letting others do that. No need for Kuja to step in and take responsibility if Ganondorf was going to do it for him.

As for the arrangement, Kuja had his reservations about some of the nicer points, but the general idea he can get behind. If Kuja's true nature is ever discovered, these people are more likely to accept him afterward. The saying about two heads held true with a larger number as well.

"I too support this. The main question for me is, do we keep this alliance discreet or not? Those who cling to strict morals are more likely to see our mutual support as something to destroy."
lordoffabulous: (Bored ♦ Oh it's you.)

Ghirahim remains silent at this point, sort of playing with some diamonds in his hand. Of course he agrees with everything Ganondorf has said; he has no reason not to.

Though he glances to his Master with a sort of curiousity, as if puzzling Kuja's question himself. While he personally was the type for more flamboyant things and open announcement of his goals, he knew this was not the case for many.

He had no problem playing along, of course. Whatever his Master wished, he would do. He was a dedicated person, after all.

"We shouldn't tell them."

Richtofen was quick to answer; almost flippant about it, really. He thought it would be common sense not to go around flaunting their collective dastardliness, but apparently it was up for debate. As such, he was fully prepared to toss in his two cents.

"The last thing we need is for everyone to know about this." He rolled his eyes, arms crossed over his chest. "You know how hero-types are. Always charging in, trying to save the day. So pigheaded, ugh. We'll never get anything done unless we are properly secretive."

He was tempted to add "trust me, I know," but he bit his tongue.

Shaking his head, Reno rested his forehead on his knuckles.

"You people are starting to make this sound like one of those Meetings of Evil Bastards in children's story books. Let's be serious." It was meant as a joke, though he didn't quite realize just how right he might have been. To him this meeting was standard fare in Shinra, only with a little more melodramatics and freely admitting people didn't care for heroes.

He did not trust the others as far as he could throw them, but they could be useful. One thing was sure, he was going to have to ramp up and say something to reassure them that he belonged here. "As far as I'm concerned, I don't give a rat's ass for how moral or not something is. As for the alliance, sure, I'm in. I'll help you with whatever shit you need help with. Just remember I'm the type that's more interested in results, like the 'I will crush an entire fucking city to kill off a small terrorist group' kind of results. Backstabbing each other isn't going to get us results and it's only going to net more enemies, which we don't need." It was funny, him saying that. He had no qualms about bailing on them if things got tricky. But it was succinct and to the point, without letting them on that he had actually crushed a city before. Nothing they could use against him there.

"I'm also the kind to aim for a smarter strategy, if you care to hear it."

Link had heard voices when he had walked by and needless to say, it had him curious. He stayed as quiet as he could and kept his back to the wall while peering into the cracked door. He noticed Ganondorf and Ghirahim and immediately he was on high alert. What was this about? He strains to hear their voices more clearly and could pick up a few words. Hero-types, pigheaded, secretive, Meetings of Evil; that was all he needed to hear before his body reacted. He slams the door open and takes his sword out of the sheath on his back, glaring at the bunch in the room. So what if he had only one arm? So what if this room was filled with potentially the most dangerous people in the Tower? All Link knew was that these people were planning something bad, and they needed to be stopped before something happened.

Ridley's head snaps up when the door opens - looks like the good Doctor was more right than he probably wanted to be. No matter.

A screeching cry comes from the reptilian creature, with an accusatory point. "INTERLOPER!" He gets airborne with a spring into the air and the flapping of leathery wings, then...well, he waits. Just how will they choose to deal with this fool?

Richtofen reacted just as fast, used to dealing with people (zombies, rather) who suddenly burst into the room. He turned to the door in time to see a green-clad, one-armed boy brandishing a sword. Obviously he wasn't an ally, whoever he was.

Though Richtofen had no real allegiance to the others in the room, he felt it'd help prove he was willing to aid them if he acted sufficiently aghast at the intrusion. In one swift motion, he got to his feet, drew his pistol and cocked it, pointing it in the boy's direction.

"Oh, look! We have one of them coming to play already!" he said, his lips twisting into a cruel grin. He didn't fire the gun, though; he'd wait to see what the others did (and, more importantly, what kind of powers this kid had) before he did anything.

Until now Kiryu had quiet, leaning back and letting the others do the talking - just for now. There were quite a few good points made on this floor, fond memories awoken by the thought of alliance and war, by the idea of maybe trustworthy comrades to play the game with, to reach satisfaction.

He straightened upon the call for an intruder and the sound of the door slamming, leaning forward with his eyes narrowed, a snort escaping him - really, what a rude entrance.

"Challenging us all by himself? How brave..."

Or really just very, very foolish. He shook his head, lifting his left arm, letting his duel disc take form on it and drawing the very first card of his deck, smirking as he flipped it between his fingers.

"I wonder..." he said as he placed the card in one of the spell-and-traps-cards-slots. "Can he take the heat?"

He leaned back again as swords of blinding light appeared from above, dropping down to keep their 'guest' in place.

Reno had many good points, and Kuja was starting to think that he was the most sensible among them. Perhaps this would be a good resource. Kuja wondered what Reno's previous experience one, to have such insight into group dynamics.

Kuja was about to speak when the intruder burst in. Wasn't that...? No matter, the others seemed to have the matter in hand, and Kuja didn't care to fight things himself if he didn't need to. So for now he'll stay quiet and unobtrusive and let the more boisterous members take care of it.

Allen couldn't help but roll his eyes at the bantering. He'd spent his entire afterlife surrounded by people who couldn't stop running their mouths, and all it meant was that he'd learned to tune it out.

He stood up, his chair vanishing as soon as he left it, and turned to face Link.

"Running your mouths isn't going to get rid of him."

Bright points of light appeared behind him, the beginning of a powerful beam attack. He felt bad for the kid, to be honest, but he had to seem like he belonged here...and he'd long since learned to bury his regret. But the attack he was preparing would be merciful, assuming nobody else beat him to attacking.

[personal profile] doctor_dismemberment 2012-05-09 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Richtofen had to admit, the boy with the cards had a good idea, keeping the intruder in place like that. It'd make things a whole lot easier for them if he wasn't running around trying to fight back. That sort of thing was amusing to a point, but after a while it could get tedious.

He prepped himself to take a step forward, but out of the corner of his eye, there shone bright lights from behind one of the others. He spared the man a glance, then went ahead and walked over to Link anyway. When he came to a stop in front of the boy, he looked over his shoulder and squinted at Allen.

"Of course it isn't," he agreed. "But that big, flashy attack of yours will make him, what? Burst into flame? Will it vaporize him?" He snorted. "What a waste! Let the doctor take care of it."

He waved his free hand dismissively, then stuck his gun back into its holster and drew out a sharp-looking combat knife. He hoped that the fact that he was shielding Link with his own body would sway Allen to call off his attack; they were supposed to be allies, after all, and it would be terribly rude of him to kill Richtofen just to get to Link.

He hoped that was the case, anyway.
lordoffabulous: (Quiet ♦ Maybe a little broody.)

Well this was sort of coming to you, Link, sorry broseph

Ghirahim is not pleased by any of these disturbances. In fact, he shall be taking the time to properly seal the idiot up on top of Kiryu's Swords of Binding, just for extra precautions. He isn't pleased with the intrusion, and from here on, he only hopes no one will mind if he casually just sets his diamond-like magic to going about blocking off the entrance so as no one else will be running in like he did, nor will they HEAR them.

"Can we please calm down a moment?" He says, sighing, putting a wall of the same magic in front of Richtofen, just in the off-chance Allen happens to, you know, fire and try to kill the good Doctor. Oh, Link, you are SUCH a huge pain in the ass. The good news: he had made sure his magic would mean Link couldn't hear them at this point. Being the badguy mage had its perks.

He'll just be over here dreadfully annoyed, standing quietly next to Link, kind of just. Leaning on the cage. Why must he ruin EVERYTHING?

"To be frank, if you kill him, he'll just run off and squeal about how terribly naughty we've all been. We're personally acquainted. I know. I have made sure he cannot hear us at this point--honestly, I should have accounted for this beforehand... does anyone have a way to wipe memories?"

Reno walked over to the cage, swinging out his EMR which made it crackle with energy.

"I can fry his brain enough so that he won't remember just before I kill him." It was just a simple, soft spoken sentence, but one that held danger in promise underneath it. The EMR crackled with energy, arcing from Reno's hand to the tip, but he didn't seem bothered by it. "With any luck it should work."
lordoffabulous: (Snap ♦ Dramatic finger snap.)

Ghirahim smiles. It is a terrible smile. How he did enjoy torturing Link.

"I will give you an opening, then." It is only with a snap of his fingers that one small enough for Reno's hand in the magic does appear, hopefully, solving all their problems all at once. It'll get wider if Reno needs it, as Ghirahim is watching rather closely.
midgarhorizon: ((Monument Taunting) Ready to fight/EMR t)

[personal profile] midgarhorizon 2012-05-30 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Soon enough, the EMR made contact with the boy, and the electricity grew until it reached a critical mass, exploding outward in a powerful Thundaga spell. Being in such a closed environment had the added affect of lighting Link up like a tesla coil, arcs of lightning hitting the surface of Ghirahim's shield.

It was quite pretty, if one discounted that it was a living being inside, being fried to death by those arcs.

Once Reno was satisfied, the lightning faded and the body fell to the floor. The kid would be all right, in time, there was no sense in looking worried or sad. He did what he had to, in order to save Link from what other fate the ones of the alliance could have in store for him. It's what the Turks did, and it was who they were. Either way, Reno was playing a part, and it was one he was good at.

It did help he was fairly sure the kid wouldn't remember anything involving his death when he woke up, the EMR had a habit of scrambling brainwaves in people who survived his attacks when they were strong enough.

Reno turned away and collapsed the EMR in one smooth motion, addressing the rest of the council.

"As I said, I'm a man of results. What was I going to say..." The interruption sort of broke his train of thought, but he got back to it without more than a slight pause. "Oh, yeah, how about this for a proposal; Make them work for us. Claim you want to work with them, at least on the surface. Promise them you'll be good, then screw with their heads. Everyone wants out of this place, and it confuses the hell out of your enemies calling a truce every once in a while.

Hero types? They like trusting people. If I'm not wrong, a lot of 'em like the 'redeem your enemy' bit. They won't suspect a thing- not us workin' together, not any alliance, and nothing at all for when we find a way home and you're about to knife 'em the second you get on the other side. Not to mention if they keep busy finding a way out it'll halve our workload."
doctor_dismemberment: (Richtofen 2)

[personal profile] doctor_dismemberment 2012-05-30 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Richtofen would've been more disappointed that he didn't get to cut up the boy if Reno's attack wasn't as entertaining as it was. Hysterical laughter bubbled up out of his mouth as he watched the kid light up and then fall over. He invented a gun that could do something quite similar, so, naturally, he was a fan of electricity-induced injury.

His giggles died down when Reno started talking, and he listened with a smile on his face. He twirled his knife around in his fingers, looking very much like a child who'd just received the Christmas present he's always wanted (if that child happened to be in the body of a 40-something-year-old man, of course).

"Ahh, what a show! He lit up so wonderfully!" He chuckled again. "I have no problems pretending to be on their side, in any case. Whatever it is we need to do."
