Shion was shaking at the laugh and the words. He was still shaking as the creature disapeared and a boy came round the corner. He blinked at him in fear but nodded and took the knife. "Th... thank you."

He is still shaking and not coming away from the wall though. He couldn't do this, he was going to die. He couldn't fight, he couldn't kill. He wasn't sure he wanted to, he had no idea how to survive here.

"Hey. Come on. We can travel together for awhile. I mean, if we find enough people who want to stick together, it'll be alright." At least Dave hopes that everyone else stuck in this are just as friendly.

"But you should stop shaking. You're just wasting energy doing that, anyways. You'll want to save that in case you want to run from something."

Shion nodded, glad that even if there were some here like that dragon man there were others like this boy then perhaps things would not be too bad. "Thank you..." He forced himself to focus, the boy was right, he should save his energy.

"I'm Shion."

LMFAO I WAS REALLY CONFUSED FOR A SECOND WEEPS.

"Dave Strider," he replied as he started to go down one of the routes. "Seems kind of a dick move. Shoving people against their will into this thing. Not that I'm even surprised. This place is kind of a shithole as is."

And Dave already knew he'd be losing. He can't bring himself to just randomly kill people for the sake of his survival. That's all kinds of messed up.

"Nice to meet you," well as nice as it could get when they had been put in a giant maze to kill each other. He hurried to follow the younger boy down the paths, he didn't want to get lost.

"It is," He agreed, "They keep saying experiments, but I can't even think of what they are trying to discover with this."

"Discover? They're just probably doing it to be a bunch of assholes or something." He couldn't see what else it could be, other than that.

"It's not like the last thing I remember them doing to us was of any importance either." The collar swap and also the hide n' seek event.

But that didn't make sense, there had to be a reason. Shion frowned, they were suffering all the same but somehow it seemed worse if it wasn't of any importance. If there was no reason.

"You don't do experiments for no reason."

"I think you're giving this place too much credit." He shrugs as he glances around. Still no one else around. That's good and bad. "What exactly would they be testing? To see who can't fight and who can? Battle Royale isn't really an experiment so much seeing who'll end up on the top. Plus, given who they grabbed, this is a pretty shitty experiment. Half the participants are a bunch of kids and teens."

And everyone all had different powers or none at all. What a shoddy experiment if this was one.

"I don't know, but they must be testing for something." Because they can't be here for no reason, there had to be a reason. Everything had a reason. People weren't forced to fight to the death for no reason at all...

"Maybe they are trying to work out who the strongest person is..."

"I doubt that. Everyone would have been put in here and they'd try other methods since not everyone here is going to willingly fight. I'm pretty sure they just want to fuck with us at this point. Sick assholes having a field day I bet," he replied. He turned the corner, keeping his sword up in case.

Shion didn't really have any more arguments, not that they had been arguments in the first place, more like him trying to make any sense of this... "I guess..." He couldn't imagine anyone who would do this just for fun, using other peoples lives as entertainment. Shion followed him round the corner, gripping his knife tightly.

"You don't sound too convinced," Dave said with a shrug. He glanced around. It was clear still. This place must be huge if they hadn't ran into many people yet.

"It's just hard to think about... I can't... I don't want to believe this has no reason..."

He too wondered how big this place was, Dave was only the second person he had ran into but he guessed with it being a labyrinth they could be close to others and just not see them.

"Does it really make a difference if it has a reason or not? They're still doing this either way."

Either way, it was still a pretty shitty thing to do in his opinion. "This place must be pretty big."

"I don't know... it's still awful but..." But knowing there might be no reason for all of this was terrifying. "Yeah... I've only seen you and that... lizard... person..."

"Lizard person? I guess they were the one who spooked you then. I didn't see them." Although, that might have been better than not.

"Well, I don't know if it's better that we haven't seen anyone yet. It just means we haven't ran into anyone who might want us dead. Unfortunately, that also means we haven't run into anyone who we can stick with either."

"Yes, he didn't hurt me though, I think he was just trying to scare me..." And it had worked, Shion was about calm now though. "Hopefully we will find some soon, after all I am sure the majority are like us and don't want to hurt anyone else."

"Well, you kind of screamed, so I guess it worked." He glanced at Shion before continuing forward. "It's hard to say. There's a lot of trolls in here I think. They're kind of built for fighting and doing the whole killing shpeal. I mean, death isn't permanent here, but there's probably more to it than just dying and coming back. Losing probably means shit hitting the fan in some way."

Shion blushed, he guessed it had. "Yes... trolls seem to be good at killing..." He tried not to think about that too much, but he frowned at Dave's words. "Why do you think that? I mean... usually you just wake up again, no matter how painful your death may be..."

"You remember a bit before we had that question go up? The one everyone suddenly answered because they wanted too for some reason? Forget the fact that announcing your fears to a tower that wants to fuck with us asked. Why would they ask us that, but only put us in a seemingly harmless labyrinth with just the notion to kill each other to be number one." It kind of worried him now that he thought about it. There had to be a reason why everyone answered that.

Shion blinked, he had almost forgotten about that question... The one he had felt compelled to answer, but that had disappeared once he had making him think his mind was playing tricks on him...

"Do you think they will find a way to bring our fears into this labyrinth..." That was... a terrifying thought...

"Probably not. Not all fears can be something you can toss into the labyrinth." He only knew this because it meant having his friends in here, and he hadn't seen most of them get shoved into the elevator. That was at least some kind of small comfort. But that left him clueless as to how it would play. "But that doesn't make it any less ominous. So we're pretty much blind in all regards. Shit."

Shion thought back to what he had written and frowned, it would indeed be hard to bring that into the labyrinth, especially since Nezumi was not in the tower... out of their reach even if it meant he had died in the end of the world...

"I guess we'll find out..."

"Hopefully we won't actually find out," Dave said as he rounded another corner. "Finding out is something I'm not interested in actually doing."

"I don't think we will have much choice." He remembered the last time he had been taken away from the main tower, he wasn't expecting this to be any better really.
