[He straightens and rolls his eyes briefly, giving her a very obvious once over before answering.]

[Karkat flashes his spidery fangs unattractively. Terezi would have his head.]

[She tosses her hair over her shoulder, glancing behind her. She could have sworn she saw something dart by the corner of her peripheral. No one there.]

[He chuckles smoothly, running his talons through his hair pompously.]

[But he drops it at that and pushes himself off the wall, spinning his sickles and reattaching them to his waist.]

[She gives him a once over and shrugs, turning to lead them out of this part of the labryinth (she hopes, anyway). Her last leadership role in a labyrinth hadn't really gone as planned.]

For now. I could have killed you if I'd wanted to and you wouldn't have been able to do shit about it.

[But he follows her, fixing his collar and sleeves, pausing to glance at the back of her head.]

[She holds up her weapons, her dice in one hand and two grenades in the other.]

[Grenades. He automatically leans away slightly without missing a step in his gait.]

[He sounds pretty firm, and reaches to grab her shoulder to stop her from walking so that he can force her to turn and observe his srs face.]

Kanaya and Terezi are not enemies. I don't care about your history with Terezi, if either of them are in this labyrinth, we're all getting the fuck out of here in one piece.

[He glares pointedly and moves to walk passed her, but not before nudging her shoulder roughly with his.]

...I'm pretty sure Terezi isn't here anyway. But I don't know about Kanaya.

So the winner probably doesn't get screwed over as badly as the losers. Which would you rather be? I don't plan on losing.

[She moves to walk next to him, intentionally shoving him back as she does.]

What makes you so sure?

Somehow, I doubt it. Probably just screwed in a different way. Like instead of burning in the sun for the rest of your life, you get to sink to the bottom of the ice caps and freeze.

[He takes the shove and nearly stumbles, but catches himself smoothly enough to shrug in response to her last question.]

[She glances to the side again at another shadow. Still nothing.]

[Karkat continues to stare behind him until he walks into Vriska's back.]

[She stumbles forward before turning to glare at him. If it were anyone else behind her she would have killed them on the spot.]

Christ, can you watch where you're going? If you're going to be dead weight I might as well ditch you.

[He tentatively reaches for his hips for his sickles. In all honesty, Karkat was next to useless in a fight physically. All of his prowess laid in his psychics once his cerulean strength had been exhausted.]
