Ken had heard the commotion, and raced forward, especially as he heard Shinjiro's yell. He turned the corner and stared at the scene in front of him. That sick glow, those red eyes of the horse... the monster that had killed his mother.

It was the same. And it shook him to the core and he wanted to cry again, but he couldn't.

One heartbeat.

Two.

Three, and he was running again, trying to get between Shinjiro and Jin. He couldn't get there before the first round of Jin's attack, but he could help shield Jin from others.
