Minami did the mature and ladylike thing then.

She stuck her tongue out him and pulled down an eyelid.

"Because you just love us so much."

But she just twirled her staff off her shoulder like a baton, acting flippant about the whole thing. It got on her own Shinjiro's nerves when she acted like this between fights but it kept her calm. That was honestly what she was more concerned about at the moment: remaining calm.

"Don't worry, Shinjiro. I have your back and you'll have mine."

Normally he would have sighed, but he was clearly on the edge about this whole thing. The more they were sometimes a bit different, the more the Shinjiro's seemed to have the same mindset. He wasn't angry at her for what she was doing, but more that he needed them to be alert. You know, despite the comment he had said which had let to this in the first place.

"Don't do that! This is serious!" He paused, sighing. "...sorry. Let's just move around carefully. Watch...each other's back." Like she had said. Somehow he needed to repeat that to himself.
