[OPEN][BACKDATED] Stitch me back, one by one!
Characters: Jade!Eridan Ampora, and YOU!
Setting: Floor 15, the workshop.
Format: I'll start with action, but I'll match you.
Summary: In which Eridan pretends he knows how to sew. Spoilers, he doesn't. Backdated to before the Labyrinth event!
Warning: None? I'll add if necessary.
[It's really not that hard, he figures, to use his torn jacket as a pattern and make a new one with some scraps of red fabric lying around. It's just. Cutting fabric and sewing it together. How hard can it be?
Apparently, very hard and not really a project for the uninitiated.
He's left the whole mess on a workbench for now, focusing on patching up his other pair of pants. That, at least, he's relatively used to. It's not the neatest of stitch-work, but at least it'll hold.
At least, he thinks with grim amusement, he has two hands now, to do this. Otherwise it'd be well and truly hopeless.]

[Despite this, he actually considers the answer of 'time loops' for a second before deciding, correctly, that it's total bullshit. He decides to add it to his list of citations for the "Eridan Has a Serious Cranial Injury" campaign.]
...Right, right. Time loops.

[Eridan shrugs sheepishly, following after Equius in a sulk.]
no subject
[Equius got an ICE PACK!]
...I'm guessing you would want to go back to your respiteblock, instead of staying here?
no subject
[He sighed.]
But this isn't exactly my favorite floor, either, so let's go back and finish what we started. Hopefully there won't be another future jackass lurking about.

...Eridan, I know how adept you are at working with one arm occupied, but I really don't think that's a good idea.
no subject
Not that Eridan is aware that's what he's doing. He sighed.]
I suppose not. Should at least clean up the mess, though.
no subject
[It's the only thing he's good for, after all.]
no subject
[Eridan shook his head.]
It's not like I'm going to be stabbin' my eyes with needles, I can handle it. An' I need something to do anyway.

...then I'll go watch a movie or somethin'.
[Pause.]
Thanks, Eq.

[...And then he huffs quietly and puts his hands in his pockets, unintentionally shrinking a few inches by the power of staturebending.] ...Uh, you're welcome.
no subject
You're welcome to come along if you absolutely must make sure I'm not doing anything more daring than bitching at the screen.
no subject
...Alright.

[And once again he waits for Eridan to go first. Even though you've decided to listen to reason, he's keeping an eye on you, Ampora.]
no subject
Eridan takes a moment to get the rhythm back and then he's going up the stares at a moderately brisk pace. He doesn't say anything, though, because... welp, what is he supposed to say?]
no subject
[Eventually they do make it back to the workshop with... relative ease, and Equius is off like a rocket immediately, sorting everything out and putting it back in whichever place it came from -- even if it was Eridan who moved it, not him. He's pretty efficient when he wants to be.]
no subject
Eridan sort of watches in fascination for a moment, a bit surprised by the flurry of activity, before he shakes his head.]
...that was fast.
no subject
[Equius abruptly looks up from what he was doing, having apparently forgotten that Eridan was there. As such, he didn't exactly catch that last bit... but the place looks clean enough that one could eat off of it, so he pushes the last mound of fabric back into place and turns to Eridan again.]
...Um. I guess we're going to the media floor now, right?
no subject
That's the idea, yeah. C'mon. Let's see if we can find something that doesn't make me froth this time around.
[...like last time.]

...I guess you'll pick what we're watching, then. There's a lesser likelihood of it not being to your liking.
