Summary: Sollux is having some trouble recovering from his labyrinth punishment

[Sollux spent the first day after being released from the labyrinth curled up on his sleeping rectangle. He didn't much respond to anything his roommates might have said to him, lost in his own brain, and confused.

The couple of days he spent as a Helmsman seemed like an eternity, and now that he's been released, he doesn't know what to do with himself. The memories of who he is seem like foreign invaders. Sollux. He's Sollux, right? Who is Sollux?

Hunger, and a vague knowledge that food doesn't come intravenously to him here finally drives him to his feet and out of the door.]

[ and Karkat is stomping his way to the cafeteria. he's only been here for a few days and already he's wanting to be anywhere else but the Tower. it sucks. his ancestor blows ( wow, is he really admitting the relation now? ). Gamzee is all NOT sober as fuck and that begs the question of their pale relationship - if that's even really a thing at the moment. Karkat doesn't want to think it's not, even if back in his time it had only been established for a short while ( he needs Gamzee, he realizes and Gamzee does need him, but what about THIS Gamzee? ).

so to see Sollux is practically a godsend. Karkat picks up the pace and reaches for an arm. ]

[The sudden yell and grab is overwhelming to a brain still having trouble processing normal things like walking. Sollux freezes and jerks away with a soft cry, turning to look and stumbling as his feet get tangled around each other.

There's little recognition. He hasn't seen Karkat in so long - not HIS Karkat - and the lack of a vision eight-fold is noted and only deepens his confusion. His brain says 'Karkat' and another part says 'no, impossible' and the rest of him is just still buzzing like static, unused to being housed solely in a fleshy body instead of in a ship.]

Who...?

[ but Karkat is determined. his hands shoot out to steady the other. Karkat looks over the other, noting the presence of those irritating shades and lack of mustard coating the taller troll all over. it's a relief. god, it hadn't been more than a few minutes since Sollux and Aradia had hurled the meteor... and he still finds himself missing his best bro's presence. ]

Don't give me 'who,' bulgelicker. You know who the fuck this is speaking to you. God, the adult asshole told me you had died, but he didn't say shit about potential think pan damage.

[He stares down at Karkat for a long moment. The steadying hands are a relief, not frightening now - he had only been startled, especially since the last time he saw the cerulean Karkat they had come close to strifing. But it takes a moment before he speaks]

KK?

[He brings up his own hands and clings to Karkat's shirt, drawing in a shuddering breath. Something - someone familiar, that he can trust.]

Is thith real?

Yeah, it's real, nookbiter.

[ he says this, but now Karkat is getting a little worried. Sollux is kind of clinging and Captor just doesn't DO that. not exactly like this. something is off. ]

God, you really did damage your think pan, didn't you?

[ just to mask his own concern now. ]

I don't...know. I wath on the ship...I therved, on the ship. And now I'm here, again.

A ship? What the fuck were you doing on a ship?

[He's not the first of the strange gray people she's seen in the tower- but he's the first he's seen who doesn't look about liable to start trying to eat her or something equally unpleasant. She can't say she can blame the ones she's seen- the whole thing with the labyrinth hadn't been pleasant for anyone, and she was sure some of them had friends in there to worry about. Not to mention he looks awful- tired and slow and slightly hollow-eyed with what she presumes is sleeplessness. That's what makes her approach, though carefully, offering a nervous smile as she reaches for his shoulder.]

Hey- are you okay?

[He flinches in surprise as she touches his shoulder, and looks at her without recognition, like he doesn't know how to answer the question]

What do you want?

[kamikozy]

[His flinch makes her hand draw back a little in surprise, and her expression turns more worried still, brows rising slightly.]

I just wanted to make sure you were alright. You... well- you don't look too good, really.

I...don't think I'm all right. [He eyes her uncertainly] Do I know you?

[kamikozy]

I didn't really think you were. [she shakes her head at his question, and gives a proper bow.] Miyabi Hanakouji- I just got here a little while back.

...you were one of the ones in the Labyrinth, weren't you?

[He nods] I think I wath in the mathe, yeth.

[Terezi has spent the days since Karkat and Sollux have died in a ritual of checking their rooms, wandering the Tower, and trying to sleep as little as possible. She's exhausted and on edge, but when she catches Sollux's scent on the way to his room, her face lights up.]

Sollux!

[He is clearly not 0kay, though, so she restrains herself from tackling him, as much as she really really wants to, and reaches out to touch his arm instead.]

Jegus, you are really good at scaring me half to death!

[He turns at her touch, blinking in confusion, but after a moment, recognition starts to dawn]

Terethi?

[Clearly something is Very Wrong. She steps forward to hug him, moving slowly so that he can pull away if he wants.]

Are you okay?

[thekidsare0kay]

[He doesn't pull away. In fact, he sinks into her, his fingers clinging in her shirt, and he lets out a long breath. She's safe...]

I don't know... I don't think tho. Ith thith real?

[scalemate]

[She closes her eyes and hugs him tightly, resting her chin on his shoulder. He is really, really freaking her out.]

Of course it's real. What happened, Sollux?

[The hug helps. It helps a lot. He closes his eyes and feels her slight coolness against him, and hugs her back]

I wath...in a mathe, I think? And then Gamthee... and then I wath a Helmthman. And now I'm here.

[Feferi's been here a couple of days, and while she's still acclimating to the tower, she knows where the basic things are. She's happy to see a familiar set of horns, but she frowns once she gets a closer look at him.

To be frank, she thinks he looks like hell.]

Sollux? Oh my cod, what happened to you? You look awful...

[He turns to look at her call, and then flinches away, his eyes widening with fear.

But no, she's not the Condesce. He's so confused. Feferi hasn't been in the tower in so long.]

Are you...real?

I'm real, Sollux. I'm real and I'd never do anything to hurt you. I promise.

[He nods, still looking utterly confused, and lifts his hand. Gently, he touches her cheek]

I don't...remember that you were here. Thith ith the tower, right?

[ofdewandglass]

[She smiles, leaning into that touch a little.]

I wasn't here, not till a little while ago. It's the tower, yeah.

Oh...thorry, ff. [He cups her cheek, eyebrows drawn together] I think they thaid Eridan killed you. I've been here a long time. Like half a thweep.
