Summary: Sollux is having some trouble recovering from his labyrinth punishment

[Sollux spent the first day after being released from the labyrinth curled up on his sleeping rectangle. He didn't much respond to anything his roommates might have said to him, lost in his own brain, and confused.

The couple of days he spent as a Helmsman seemed like an eternity, and now that he's been released, he doesn't know what to do with himself. The memories of who he is seem like foreign invaders. Sollux. He's Sollux, right? Who is Sollux?

Hunger, and a vague knowledge that food doesn't come intravenously to him here finally drives him to his feet and out of the door.]

[He nods, his breathing calming a little] Thollukth Captor. Tell me more?

Sollux Captor is a bipolar shit stain, whom I happen to be somewhat jealous of when it comes to coding. The dipshit, you, is apeshit at coding and whatever. Keeps bees and feeds the Lusus he has with mind honey.

[It does, it really does. He remembers his bees and his coding, and his lusus, and he remembers Karkat's voice, and especially his way of speaking, most of all.

He nods and gives Karkat a squeeze]

Thorry, I... jutht... I feel like I got lotht on my way back.

I'm trying. Why do you think I'm...talking to you? Athking you? [His voice is small, but the personality is leaking back into it quickly. He's feeling more like himself already, and is remembering who 'himself' is supposed to be. And the more he remembers, the easier it gets.]

Thorry. [He hunches a bit, but still clings] I didn't remember you were here...

That's because I wasn't here. In fact, I got here the day you died in that shitty place. Thanks for giving me a fucking heart attack.

Oh... Fuck, that thuckth. [He looks up, searching Karkat's expression, and starting to smile tentatively.] Can we go thomewhere? I'm hungry.

I was coming down here to eat anyway so... Sure?

[ Sollux. stop looking at him funny. ]

[He nods and waits a bit, for Karkat to take the lead. Then frowns and starts off instead, grabbing Karkat's hand. He remembers who he is, damnit.]

What do you think of the tower tho far?

It sucks shame globes larger than the musclebeasts on Sweatquius' posters.

[ he would snatch back his hand, but whatever. Karkat had practically begged Sollux to stay, in his timeline. he had dragged the other off before too. no point in flailing around over this contact, even if Karkat had to wonder WHAT THE FUCK. ]

[It wasn't intentional, exactly. It just felt better not to lose contact, as if Karkat might disappear if he let go and looked away]

I don't know... [He looks away] If it'th real then I hate it. There'th thingth that are okay, though. But thith plathe doethn't really theem like it can be real.

Hate to tell you this, but we've been to a lot of places that couldn't be fucking real. But they are. Just like this is, good and bad.

[He nods] Like the whole fucking game. How wath any of that real, theriouthly.

Yeah, exactly. I mean your land was FIRE AND BRAINS. How could any planet be like that?

Yeah. [He grins] They were thquishy! Thtupid planet. It wathn't a bad planet, though. [He squeezes Karkat's hand] What wath yourth again?

[ this is so gay, holding hands like this. Karkat rolls his eyes. ]

Weird fucking planet. Not too different from mine, in a way, though. Both of them had rednethh, and organth. [Yup, it's pretty gay.]
