[o3] ✦ Ego downsizing. ✧
Characters: Ghirahim (
lordoffabulous) and his roomies; then whoever else finds him.
Setting: Dormitory Room 1-02 (early morning) -> the workshop floor (floor 15; early afternoon), all post-labyrinth shenanigans
Format: Starting in action, which'll be faster, but feel free to use prose. (I'll be a bit slower.)
Summary: Nightmares suck, and Ghirahim isn't the flawless untouchable demon he wishes he was. Worrying about the only thing he cares about abandoning him ensues, and maybe somesobbing into his knitting sewing to occupy his mind.
Warnings: Skyward Sword megaspoilers? AND GHIRAHIM IS HIS OWN WARNING APPARENTLY? Even when he's sad.
[Room 1-02 (locked to roommates) ]
[ His sleep had been far from sound, and it probably wasn't hard to tell he'd been an idiot, sponsoring Ganondorf left and right. But he didn't care, in the end, for Ganondorf was all he had. His Master. That fragment he was so afraid of losing. And for a moment when he'd lost, anyone who saw him at the Terminal at the time might have seen a very upset display at the King of Evil's death.
He then proceeded to do nothing but try to sleep for the next two days. It hurt him badly to see his Master lose, but that was nothing in comparison to the nightmares that had begun to plague him along with first the halving then complete loss of his powers on top of everything else, from the start. If that wasn't bad enough, he had to also deal with that idiot Reno and getting to said sponsoring before him.
He couldn't do a thing, really. Every time he dozed off, it was to the same sort of dreams. They all had a theme of him being useless, abandoned, alone. And because of him, his Master had lost again, or died, or found a better weapon.
What good was a sword if it couldn't protect its owner?
This time the dream is especially vivid, and he has been tossing and turning and muttering. He jolts awake again, biting back the feeling of pure aloneness this realistic nightmare had given him, holding his forehead. He was presently quite a mess, wearing a simple black shirt and a pair of pants. No gloves or make up on yet, he hadn't really been bothering lately. For now, he just settles on sitting there, rubbing his eyes tiredly, telling himself none of this was true.
He was useful. He was loyal. He was! Link wouldn't take away the only thing he had left again, would he?
... He feared that more than anything, to be honest. Losing Demise again, in the form of Ganondorf. It ate at the heart he did not have. ]
[Floor 15 (workshop) ]
[ After that morning, he had made his way slowly to the workshop floor (by foot, no less, he truly did hate having to travel this way), mostly unhindered, since even without his powers he was, thankfully, agile and strong enough.
So what had he decided to do to take his mind off of how alone he felt?
... Sewing and knitting. Yes, at present, he is working on some decent clothing because clearly the Tower needed more. It's an odd sight to see such a proud person so unkempt (the only makeup he maintained, really, was his eyeliner and he put his earring in, the rest of his effects had stayed in his trunk), so... sad. Very odd indeed, given how much he worries over his appearance.
At the moment, he is using his teeth to hold several needles very carefully as he works, somewhat absorbed in the details, though it is obvious he is not in the best of shape, mentally or emotionally. If ever one were to approach him without chance of harm, however, now would be the best time. ]

No, he's referring to our kidnappers. They enjoy experimenting with people's minds, you'll be subjected to it before long as well, answering questions against your will only to have them used against you later.
[ He kind of glances down at Romeo and just... lays his head tiredly in his hands. He's had better months, really. ]
... I'm fine. Why are you over here, child?
[ Mumble mumble mutter. ]
no subject
[Veigar shook his fist at the skies as if he could see these kidnappers. Then looked between Romeo and Ghirahim with mild curiosity. Where these his permanent roommates? Where they like a team now? He needed to find out more about this place.]
no subject
You're not fine sir, but you can't let the bad people win okay. They like seeing us be sad and so if we give up they win and that's bad.

THROWS SCREAMING CHILD IN jesus if i could tag properly that would be awesome
He rose as clean and original as he'd ever woken before. The wounds he'd obtained from the experiment were completely gone, and the layers of blood and grime that had caked every inch of him had left with them. His face was worse for wear, however, too-thin and free of paint so the mottled skin and sunken, purple-socketed eyes were clearly visible. He was confused and anxious and
scaredanything but scared. He was angry. It would have probably startled anyone there, the murderous rage in which he'd risen, clawing at the bedsheets and screeching obnoxiously. He'd thrown himself out of the bed, stalking around the room like a thing possessed, grabbing at whatever wasn't bolted down, overturning his trunk and furniture and throwing the smaller things across the room like a child in a tantrum. A bloodthirsty, manic tantrum.
What a lovely first impression.]
no subject
Because Gamzee was good, why would he kill all those people and now...
Now he was throwing things and wasn't like the funny silly boy who Romeo had made friends with.
Romeo might be trying to hide behind Ghirahim right now. He doesn't know how to deal with this.]
no subject
[Veigar turned to look at the tantruming person in the room, not quite sure what to make of it. Maybe it was some sort of greeting ritual? An odd custom by the odd creature? Maybe it was a show of fortitude? Whatever the case, Veigar wasn't about to be left out.
So the Yordle looked over and tapped the nightstand nearest to him with his foot, knocking it over. That's right, take that you vile nightstand!]
no subject
His temper is on a very short fuse. It's a good thing he's managing to keep it in check. ]
Enough. Defacing the room is hardly going to solve the problems either of you are having.
Makara, if you are truly angry, might I suggest saving it for the people who did this to us rather than attempting to massacre a nightstand?
[ It's okay, Romeo. If he could, he would just teleport the idiots out, but as it is now, he kind of... can't. Nevertheless, he can defend himself if he has to, but really this is stupid and he doubts overturning furniture that did nothing will help. Besides, he doesn't want his decorations being messed up on his side, dammit. ]
no subject
So you both got wronged then? By whatever these 'bad people' were? Sounds like both of you got the short end of the stick on the consequences.
no subject
[Looking at the new roommate suspiciously, still hiding behind Ghirahim, because he just seems crazy and a bit scary.] They wronged you too sir, they kidnapped you as well.
no subject
He went to snatch up a chunk of Ghirahim's shirt in his jagged claws, tugging him roughly in front of his face and panting like a beaten animal. He was so, so tired. And he was so very beside himself.]
THE MOTHERFUCK YOU ALL SAY TO ME, MOTHERFUCKER!?
I OUGHT TO RIP THAT MOTHER FUCKING TONGUE UP OUT YOUR MOTHERFUCKING FACE!
[He was screaming at the top of his lungs. Threatening Ghirahim was probably not the best course of action. Despite being in the state he appeared to be, the man could probably take Gamzee down just as easily as he could at full strength. He didn't give a shit, though. He wanted to shove his teeth and his fists into anything he could, because who the fuck knew where his weapons had gone to.]

However, if this was part of his team, he needed to mediate or they'd be down team members before even starting anything. And for all he knew, that feral one would eat the hell out of the kid, ala Chogath.
In but an instant, Veigar snapped his fingers, reality twisting around the two as he called upon Event Horizon, freezing them in place for a few moments.]
If the enemy is this bad people, why in the hell are you all fighting?! I don't mind if it's for sport, but if we're not going to gain ANYTHING don't waste your damned breath!
[Okay, he let them go. In any case, he could always materialize dark matter too... but that would kill them. He didn't want to kill them damnit! This was his team right? He thinks?]
no subject
He waits until all of the others are done to narrows his eyes. ]
You do not want to make me angry, Makara. You really, well and truly do not. This is pointless. Cease your foolishness.
[ He is a demon, god dammit, and powers or no, he is perfectly capable of matching Gamzee in terms of the natural strength given to him both by virtue of what he is and by the fact he is also a sword spirit. ]
no subject
It made him that much angrier.]
RRRRRGHHHH!!!
[It wasn't even words. He was beyond words, so far beyond them. It was just pure anger, and none of it was even justified to be directed at these three. He was just. So. Motherfucking. Furious. Red tinted every single inch of his vision, and his clenched fists in Ghirahim's shirt were white-hot points of focus for his insanity.
He ground his teeth. He hissed out more unintelligible cries. He released his hold on Ghirahim only so he could wrap his hands around his throat this time. He was going to strangle this motherfucker to death.
Not a good move, Makara.]
no subject
But now Gamzee had his hands around Ghirahim's neck and Gamzee just wouldn't stop. Romeo crashed into him again, he didn't want to hurt him though. He was his friend and he didn't want to ever hurt him.
He wondered if this was something the bad people had done, like when they made Molly kill him, had they done something to him in the maze? Romeo reached up to Gamzee's torso, not to hurt him but to tickle. He knew how ticklish the troll was and if he could get him to let go of Ghirahim...
no subject
Regardless, he had already voiced his stance, he wasn't one to bother trying hard if idiots wouldn't listen. After all, they'd just end up in the fountain if they died because of their stupidity right? And he had already been told people didn't permanently died here.
He pulled over a chair, hopped on it and rested his rod on his lap as he watched.]
Lemme know when you respawn so we can actually have a decent conversation that is understandable instead of rawrgarglewargle whine whine Raaaaaadon'tmakemeangry.
[At least that's how all three sounded to him as they tried to talk to each other.]
WOW THIS IS LATE I am sorry also breaks this off for just Ghira and Gam???
With the controlled force of hundreds of years, he brings his arms around the troll's hands, and PRIES them off his neck. Oh, it takes a lot more effort than should be necessary without his ability to change forms, but...
Eventually, this leads to him standing and properly grabbing Gamzee's wrists and attempting to DRAG him out of the room. This is stupid. He will not be brought down by a CHILD.
Excuse them, gentlemen, they're going to go have a fight in the hallway as the door closes. ]
