Characters: Sora (OU), OPEN
Setting: Covers the entire week after the event ends. Starts in his dorm, can move anywhere in the Tower.
Format: I'll follow your lead!
Summary: Sora awakens after the end of the event, determined to find his friends, the people who helped him, and...anyone, really.
Warnings: Some (likely vague) allusions to Sora's punishment, probably bucketloads of sad, Kingdom Hearts is suffering, ect ect.
Notes: Sora is going to be looking for people to talk to in general, but he's also going to ESPECIALLY be searching for people who sponsored him...even the ones he doesn't know personally yet. He needs to say thank you, after all!
[Dorms, Room 1-06, Immediately after the event ends.]
[Sora couldn't remember falling asleep. That's his first thought, when he opens his eyes, finding himself back in his room. This was where he had woken up before. Days ago? Awhile ago, anyway.
He sits up and looks around, but no one is there. Again. He does see something different, though. One of the wooden swords that he and Riku used to play with, sitting on top of his trunk, and a note.
Thank you for participating in our experiment. Detailed results will be forthcoming.
What was that supposed to mean? Hadn't it already...?
That thought gives him pause. He slowly puts the sword and the note back onto the trunk, letting himself consider just what it might mean, if the experiment hadn't been over the last time he woke up in the tower.
What if it really hadn't been? Maybe that meant everything he had seen was a trick, maybe everyone was-!
Sora left the sword where it was and ran for the door, straight to the hallway, and looked all around...and he spotted someone. He wasn't even sure who it was, but it was definitely someone, and Sora had never been so happy to see another person in his life.]
[Anywhere in the Tower, anytime during the week.]
[It wasn't long before Sora figured out what had happened, of course. That being trapped in the tower while everyone else was...gone...was just an illusion. A consequence for not making it to the end of that experiment or something. He went through the ones that had been posted on the network, and was relieved when his own wasn't among them. His friends didn't need to see that, and...why should it be a big deal, anyway, if everything was okay now? Everyone was alive and safe. Right?
Maybe it wasn't that simple, but he had plenty of ways to distract himself. Starting with finding all of his friends, and all of the people who had sponsored him. He needed to thank the latter, and talk to the former, and...really, he just wanted to make sure that people were okay, regardless of whether or not he knew them.
Besides, the last thing he wanted to do right now was spend time alone.]

I was so scared.... [She won't cry. Nope. Just be a little teary. Just a little.]
no subject
I'm fine, now. See? Everything's okay again.
[He sees those tears and...well, mostly, he's hoping that he can stop them. It seems wrong to say that, though, when he's holding back a few tears of his own.]
no subject
Y-Yeah. As long as you're all right, everything is fine.

["Worried" is a mild way of putting it - not to mention the fact that he's stretching the truth a bit - but he really does want to know. So much can happen in this place, even without the experiments, that he worries about Kairi when he can't go see her. Sure, she can take care of herself, and she was always better at being careful than he and Riku ever were, but...she's really important to him. He can't help it.]

I just feel like... I can't do anything here. I can't help anyone.

[Sora didn't want to say it, but he knew the feeling far too well. There have been so many times when Sora wanted to protect people who were getting hurt in this place, only to be completely unable to for one reason or another. That's why he was glad to have been able to do what he did to protect Riku, at least this once.
But as for Kairi...]
Don't say that, okay? If I didn't have you and Riku around, I...would be feeling pretty lost.
[To put it lightly. He's not just trying to make her feel better here, even though he wants to do that, too.]

[And maybe that's a bit self-pitying on his end, too, but it's the sort of thing he'd be willing to tell Kairi – and maybe only Kairi.]

You're one of the strongest people I know.
/feelings
[His eyes widene, and he feels all those doubts he'd had just moments ago - about all the times he couldn't defend his friends here, about all the things he didn't understand - wash away, knowing that Kairi believed in him. Because if she believed in him, how could it be fair for him not to believe in himself? How would he be able to help anybody - help her, and keep her safe - if he started thinking like that? And she shouldn't have to think like that, either.
He doesn't answer the question. Instead, an idea comes to him, and he smiles.]
Kairi, let's make a promise. Maybe we both need to get stronger, but...let's promise to never start doubting ourselves like this again. No matter what happens.
[And so much can happen, in a place like this.]
/too many feelings
It's so like him. And really, it's an incredibly uplifting idea. She too, feels several of her doubts fade away. She holds out her hand to him.]
Okay... I won't doubt myself if you won't. Promise.
