Let's gather 'round the campfire
Characters: Ventus and EVERYBODY
Setting: Halls of the first floor Dormitory, near the stairs.
Format: Prose to start, will match you~
Summary: The power's gone out, so Ven's starting a bonfire.
Warnings:Magical fire and possibly singing TBA
Ven had only been in the tower for a little while and already something was going on. He didn't exactly understand what was going on, only that it was dark and creepy, and that none of the lights were working. Except in the rooms, but those emergency lights were almost creepier than the darkness.
He had managed to gather up some flammable materials into a pile at the end of the hallway, and with a quick "Fire!" the flames were burning and there was at least some light. And a source of heat! Thus he sat against the wall making sure the fire didn't go out, blissfully unaware of any creepy crawlies.

OOC: all the ninja all the time
"What do we do till the power comes back? As much as sitting around is fun and all." Not that there was much to do anyhow, since Rox hadn't explored the tower much since his arrival.
OOC: they wish they could see me ninjain'
Ven beamed at Ienzo when he came and sat down because he had no idea about any possible social awkwardness.
"...Hm. I dunno." Ven relented. Really he just thought the idea of a bonfire sounded fun. And it was! To him at least. "I guess we should maybe and try and fix it. But maybe it'll come back once the storm blows over."

Then he looked over at Roxas, frowning a bit. "Not sure - I guess wait and see if our keepers can get the power back on soon."
Faintly, down the hall, some of the sharper-eared people might hear something.
Something that sounds like a woman about Eiji's age, calling his name.
no subject
He heard a soft, distorted wailing vaguely against the sound of the rain, but dismissed it as some trick of the wind.

...he's assuming his doppelganger hasn't wandered much either. And it'd be nice to try and bond with his roomie and the quiet kid said doppel knows. Yes, this is how he attempts to be friendly- horribly awkwardly.

Ven of course can't help but laugh at Roxas' comment. "If you ever need a fire going, just leave it to me! Or if you need some quick energy!" Derpgrin.
That grin quickly faded however when he heard something down the hallway. Or, thought he heard something at least. "What was that?"
no subject
The voice sounded far, far too familiar to him to ignore, so he's up, heading down the hall.
"Hina...?"

"What was what?" Roxas was pretty used to the universe wigging out and hearing and seeing things, so frankly he hadn't paid the low noises any mind at all. But, when Eiji got up, Rox was the first to jump to his feet- nearly stumbling over his skateboard, but not -and went to shake Eiji's shoulder.
"I'll go with you if you think you hear someone." It wasn't like he was wary of the guy bumping in to more things, mostly that Rox knew his friends wouldn't want to go wandering alone.

Ven always has the best logic you guys, you should just learn this.Ven just met the eyeroll with another small laugh.
"I heard something. Not really sure what, though," He said simply, although it seems that was starting to become less important, at least in light of the fact that Eiji was wandering off down the hallway.
Sadly Ven had no answers for Ienzo, but he quickly got to his feet and stepped closer to the kid with his legs should-width apart, watching Roxas and Eiji down the hallway carefully.

He steps away from the boy, and ventures further down the hall. The voice calls out again - "Eiji! Help!"
The man freezes up for a moment, then breaks into a run. "Hina! Hang on!"

Now that two of them had randomly run off after the voice they had heard, it seemed that Ventus was gearing up to go too. Wonderful. So of course Ienzo stood up as well and glanced over at Ventus. (SEE EIJI, IENZO KNOWS THE BUDDY SYSTEM. YOU SHOULD TOO.)

"Come on! Stay close!" He told him as he took off after Roxas and Eiji, slowing down his usual pace because it was very important to stay near one's assigned buddy during a crisis.
no subject
He gets further away from the group - further away from the light. It's dim and faint where he's at.
"Hina? HINA!" He thought this was where the voice had come from...
Then Eiji yells again, but this time, in pain.
no subject
When the scream came, his expression flickered slightly to the appropriate response of 'oh crap', but still followed Ventus; if he had been trying to go in front before, he most definitely wasn't now, considering Ventus was armed and he, well, wasn't.
no subject
"Hey- are you alright?! Where are you?"
FROM NOW ON WE ARE HOLDING HANDS EIJIno subject
Damnit and now it was getting hard to see again. Ven sped up a bit(he didn't want to run into Ienzo when he landed again after all), jumped up and pointed his keyblade forward while in the air, shooting a ball of fire up along the roof. At least that way maybe they'd be able to see for a second and it wouldn't hit anybody.
"What's going on..?!"
no subject
Eiji only holds hands with weird singing shoguns. There was more pained yelling - it felt like the very life was being sucked out of Eiji, and...well, that was not a pleasant sensation.
Hina had stopped yelling - and something in Eiji told him that he should go back. And so, after a moment so he could get his focus, he staggered back. "Guh...back! Go.. Back to the bonfire!" He sputtered, starting to run that way himself. He got a ways into the light again so he could be dimly seen before his body went rigid, stopping him in his tracks.
Those who can see his front will see his eyes glow purple for a moment, and there's a faint sound not unlike an echoing reptile scream as the glow happens.
no subject
"H-hey..."
no subject
Fortunately Ienzo was not near enough to see the glowing-eye issue, but he caught what Eiji was trying to say loud and clear... and also the not entirely human scream that followed.
And so, like Roxas, he suddenly grows rooted to the spot. Nice use of the buddy system, bro. You gonna let Ventus traipse off and fight by himself?
...Yes you are, apparently.
no subject
"Hey, are you alright? What happened?" He asked with a frown. Had something happened to him? He kept himself between Eiji and...whatever was there, his Keyblade out by his side in case whatever had attacked Eiji started moving towards him.
no subject
The belt promptly sings
Eiji promptly transforms into a dinosaur-themed rider, screaming out in what sounds like pain before settling into a hunch, breathing shakily. "Hhhhccchhh..."
no subject
"That thing-?!" Why did the blonde derp lookalike have a thing like his- man he should have realized sooner, keyblade, how stupid was he?
"What are you going to do? He doesn't seem like he's going to listen to us...!"
no subject
Some kind of mutation?
Whatever it is, it's damn scary, and Ienzo almost subconsciously inches closer to Roxas. (If it were any more than subconsciously he wouldn't have done it.)
