(01 ☀ Open) A disturbance in the Force
Characters: Obi-Wan Kenobi and YOU c:
Setting: Dormitory floor 2, morning-ish
Format: Action brackets
Summary: Obi-Wan deals with (the seeming) destruction of his universe AKA Jedi Trauma Time
Warnings: No warnings (as of yet???)
Just outside his room (dormitory floor two)
[There's something wrong about this place. Very wrong.
This is the only explanation that Obi-Wan can begin to pull together in the face of what feels like the complete and utter destruction of his entire universe.
At first, the gaping sense of nothing in the Force is almost too much to bear. There is no physical pain, and yet the sensation of losing the connection to his universe is so much more than any of the injuries he's ever experienced. It's as though the world itself has fallen out from under his feet and left him stumbling and disoriented. Suddenly winded, the Jedi shoots out a hand to catch himself on the door frame leading into his dormitory room, barely managing to keep himself from sinking to his knees.
It takes a few moments for Obi-Wan to catch his breath, but eventually he rights himself and shifts away from door frame. Unimaginable loss pulses through him as he struggles out into the hallway. Once outside, he closes his eyes and reaches through the Tower's Force presence to prove to himself that there is, indeed, a floor under his feet and that everything isn't as utterly and completely gone as it feels.
To his great relief, he immediately feels Force energy leaping out at him from the Tower's very walls. Energies of the many beings in the tower swirl about, and through him. Reconnecting him. He breathes in again and exhales smoothly, letting the life all around him fill him with strength.
When the dizziness finally fades, he opens his eyes again and takes in the hallway ahead of him.
What he feels seems impossible ––should be impossible–– which is, happily, usually the sign that one has encountered a phenomenon in the Force. He's fallen into memories during meditation and been deceived by the Force before, so why not now?
He can only hope.
Because the alternative is too terrible to even begin to conceive of.]
[ooc: Ohhh gosh I haven't written a log in forever. Apologies in advance if this is awful and vague. x_x]

However, as much as he wants to just drop into his bed and close his eyes for a few hours (no matter what nightmares might still be awaiting him), he can't really ignore the man that's leaning against one of the door frames; not with the general amount of light he's sensing from him.]
Hey... You alright?
[Probably not, considering the looks of him, but he needs to break in the conversation somehow, right?]
no subject
Y-yes, er... [He looks over at Riku, and then gives himself a brief once over. The only real difference he notices is that instead of the Jedi robes he last remembers wearing, he's in one of the Tower's jumpsuits.]
Other than feeling a bit... ridiculous, [he admits with some levity] I seem to be in one piece.
[A beat.]
And you are?
no subject
That happens around here.
[Unless the tower is playing out whatever terrors it had come up this week.]
Riku. [A beat.] ...You just arrived?

Is something wrong?

[Feeling steady on his feet again, he releases the wall and steps away from it.]
My name is Obi-Wan Kenobi. [Pause.] I don't suppose you could tell me where we are?
no subject
I'm afraid knowledge of this place is very limited. It seems to be a tower outside of the worlds, if I had to try at understanding the situation. But aside from that, all we know is that our worlds have been destroyed, and many of our connections to them severed.

Yes, please. [Feeling steady again, he shifts away from his support to consider Suzaku politely.]
I'm afraid I've just woken up and don't have any idea where I am–– What star system is this?
[Or alternate reality. He isn't entirely sure what's going on here. The universe feels like it should be a gaping hole of empty space right now.]

He stood to attention like he was about to report, which he was, "We are in a tower, we are not sure what universe it is in or if it has a name. We have been brought here by five individuals who have claimed to have saved us from the ending of our universe. They also claim that each of us are from separate universes, that they could only save one from each.
Your clothes and other articles from home are in the trunk at the bottom of the bed you woke up in."

Hey, you're not going to pass out, right? Medical attention kind of sucks here.

It's awk.]
Thankfully, no. [His smile is polite, if a little wryly amused.] Although I will admit that I'm feeling a little... lost.
What is this place?
no subject
Join the club. I don't know if there actually is a name for this shithole, because if there is nobody ever uses it. I like to call it Slave Tower - you know, an affectionate nickname to make the place a little more homey.

A local, perhaps? By this point he honestly has no idea.]
Hello, there! Would you mind helping me for a moment?

[She makes sure she's actually properly closed the door to her dorm before approaching - Kohaku has the impression that if, say, Tara came back and the door was cracked, the girl would be unable to relax in the room for the next half of forever. ..maybe that was just the stutter that made her feel that way, though.]

Her hands come up as if to help support him, but just hover there awkwardly for a second, and then lower again.]
Are you okay? What happened? [She immediately thinks it's another game or trick of the tower.]
no subject
I'm all right, thank you. [He straightens up, rubbing the back of his head to ward off the last of the dizziness.]
I am a little...lost, but perhaps you could help me with that?
no subject
Sure, I can do that. My name's Willow, and you're in the tower. It doesn't really have a name. Did you just wake up?

Sir? Pardon my presumptuousness, but... have you just recently awoken here?
no subject
Just a moment ago, yes. [He rubs at his brow, drawing on the Force to push the rest of his disorientation away. A beat, and he looks up again.]
Are you a resident of this place?
no subject
Not of my own volition, no. I am certainly not of the number who originate from and administrate this place.
[There may just have been the slightest sharpness to her tone then, as she speaks of those who run the Tower. Her recent experiences with them haven't exactly been cordial, to say the least. But she can set aside that bitterness for the sake of helping this man.]
Are you in need of aid? There is an infirmary towards the bottom of the Tower, and I can lead you if you would like.
ljdlf this is so late sorry. I kept blanking on this tag for some reason. ;;
No worries! It's all good. <3

It was the suit that caught her eye. It still looked really really stupid to her. But what's more is that she knew nobody would wear it if they didn't have to.]
'Hoy~!
[Running up to him now is a small pirate, sans the eye patch and hat but she does have a small sword, her size, hanging at her waist.]
You look like crap.

I assume you are now to this place. Are you alright?
no subject
I--yes. I'm all right, thank you.
This place–– [He cuts off for a moment as another swell of disorientation grips him. Willing it away with a strand of Force energy, he straightens and continues.] Where is it?
