001 ‡ Beware of those who's eyes shine blue

Characters: Selene and you!
Setting: Room 1-03, then various locations in the Tower. Your choice.
Format: Action, but I will follow whatever it is you wish to do.
Summary: Selene is new to the Tower, so come and say hello!
Warnings: Language, possible gore, definitely a chance of blood. Anything else will be edited in.

[Room 1-03]
[Waking up in a strange room was not something most people were used to. In fact, most people would have likely freaked out because of this. She, on the other hand, kept her cool, moving once the paralysis had worn off.]

[She sat up, slowly looking over the room. Three other beds, aside from her own, all with trunks at the ends. She questioned the meaning of this arrangement, but decided best to get out of there.]

[Quickly, she popped open the trunk at the foot of her bed, and began to undress. She was pleased to see her own wardrobe in front of her. She rather not walk around in a ridiculous white suit.]

[Once dressed, jacket and all, she took hold of one of the blood sacks and quickly drank from it. Best have her strength in a place so unfamiliar to her.]

[Anywhere and Everywhere]
[Once in the hallways and on the floors, she keeps to the shadows as best she can, avoiding unnecessary confrontation. Some floors, however, it cannot be helped, which only cause to fuel her frustration.]
vipassi: (What mistake could I have made?)

[Floor 31, if that's ok? If not I can change tag, prefer one of the "powers no workie" though!]

[He'd caught a glimpse, somewhere around a corner, and gotten curious; he knew predatory carriage when he saw it, and she seemed to be looking for clues as much as he was, as well as someone trained and experienced, by his guess. That was enough for him to try to mask his presence out, cover normal detection with illusions, and follow up the stairs.]

[The idea of tailing to see what she found with less direct risk to himself was quickly foiled when the trident made an audible click on the cobblestones, and he was suddenly very aware of feeling weaker and obnoxiously visible - and vulnerable...]

[And as much as he was normally confident in his own abilities, he was also a bit skin and bones and not yet recovered from spending several months in a stasis tank - no condition for any kind of conflict without his powers...]

[And he was mid-tail of someone predatory and probably more than skilled enough to notice.]

[Yep. That certainly was a very unexpected complication, and yes, that is someone who was trying to follow you and just had a complete unexpected stealth-fail, with a very feline "...Oh, was I doing something? I meant to do that hahaha" kind of pause.]
chainsawn: (or just feel something)

[ There's a girl idly wandering around in one of the hallways in the dormitories - her expression is a little blank, but changes once she sees the woman. At that moment it turns.. almost a little more curious, maybe, but even though she's staring at the woman quite obviously she isn't saying a word. ]

Room 1-03

Hey, what have you got in there?

[Wriggle kneels on the foot of her bed, peering over into her trunk. Since arriving here herself she's become ever so curious as to what kinds of trinkets each person had stored away]
wrigurun: (Explaining → IotMaIotE)

Doesn't mean I can't be curious.

Yeah, this is my room too. At least that's what the plaque outside says. My bed's over there.

[She points to the bed with the small tank sitting on the bedside table]

So what are those metal things? And the red stuff? Is it some kind of drink from your world?

B-blood?

[She'd never seen that much all at once the thought didn't even cross her mind. She didn't even care about the gun anymore]

Why would you have so much of it?

Is it yours? Do you come from a world where people have their blood outside their bodies?
vipassi: (This is not a darker age)

[Well, he could hope. And it's not like he expected his powers to go away just for walking up a set of stairs. Or has entirely connected the "well shit" moment to the arbitrary line between floors.]

[And really...this could've gone much worse already.]

Curiosity, I suppose. You seemed like you might have a better idea what to look for, here.

[He does meet her gaze, his own red eye seemingly lacking any discernable pupil, not flinching at the shift; as much as it flagged her as more unusual - and someone he wanted a fight with in this state even less - he didn't find any reason to be afraid just yet.]
wrigurun: (Huh? → IotMaIotE)

[personal profile] wrigurun 2012-05-22 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh!

[Now there's something she recognizes]

You're like... like that... Well, I forgot her name but we have those where I come from too.
wrigurun: (Huh? → IotMaIotE)

[personal profile] wrigurun 2012-05-22 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
No?

[She looked at her quizzically]

But I don't think anyone is. Well, maybe some of them are but not anyone I've met.
vipassi: (Why should we delude ourselves)

Ow. I remember tagging on a phone.

I find ignorance far more deadly.

[Right now, that's ... absolutely right, as much as he's playing off that the trident is liable to end up being used for support.]

It's hard to know what to be looking for in a completely foreign environment... unless you were left with as little information as I?

[It hadn't looked like she was after a specific target - which'd mean either sweeping the area in general, or... a different form of the same kind of exploration he'd been doing.]
vipassi: (<3 - this is probably a lie.)

[personal profile] vipassi 2012-05-23 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
[Sadly, he's ... well ... him. And entirely too calmly chipper about the next bit... which is really a translation outward of how annoying he finds his own current lack of information; he's ticking off what little he has so far on one hand.]

Well, I doubt this place is anywhere in the normal mortal realm, it's not any Hell I'm familiar with, someone wants us to believe our home worlds are destroyed, and has poor taste in accessories.
vipassi: (We're always in repair)

[personal profile] vipassi 2012-05-23 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
[It's habit, even with, in theory, trying to tread lightly without his powers. Yes, on another floor where things worked, he'd possibly be more... annoying.]

[And while he wouldn't directly admit to not knowing anything, he wasn't going to deny that one either.]

[There was, however, a lazy half-shrug about the floors.] It would be part of why I suspect we're not in the mortal realm; the rules of reality are different. [He did give a good look around the empty cobblestone.] Sadly it's not any realm I'm familiar with. [It was too low-key so far for most of the Hells, and too off-kilter in more threatening ways for a Heaven or the realm of Asura.]
vipassi: (It's not the end of the world now)

[personal profile] vipassi 2012-05-23 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
[He nods; as much as he hasn't been actively punted through them in years, it's not something you easily forget.]

Although it may serve as more a warning for now; different realms can vary widely in what is "safe" and what's a "hazard" - the floors are enough to know that the rules are different, but without an idea where this is or what purpose it is, there could be all sorts of unpleasant surprises.

[Which he now has direct experience with, even if it was only a few minutes ago...]
vipassi: (Paint it black and white if you like)

[personal profile] vipassi 2012-05-23 07:36 am (UTC)(link)
One can always hope they'll have a lapse in judgment. [Yes, for all that he's not that impressive right now, that's an awful pointy smile.]

I am curious why they've left such freedom of movement when they've felt the need to collar us.

[The collar spoke to him of experiments - and experiments didn't normally involve free reign for the subjects unless the area they were restricted to was, itself, part of the experiment...]
