Alone in the D/The Thunder Rolls

Characters: Shoutarou and YOU.
Setting: Floor Four or Dorms
Format: Starting in action brackets, will match.
Summary: Power's out, and Shou has night-vision goggles. Also he finds the the storm fascinating.
Warnings: Possibly ghost run-ins!

Floor Four

[After the broadcast, Shou was heading back upstairs to check on the others when he got rather caught up in watching the storm outside. After all, watching the rain is a hardboiled thing to do, right?]

Dorms

[Shou's going from room to room, checking on others there, using the DenDen Sensor to navigate the dark hallways. Bless Philip for putting this thing together, even it seemed silly at the time.]

So, everything was fine. Roxas was taking his skateboard out for a spin and enjoying himself. Then out went the lights. So, what does one do? ...keep going, obviously!

Especially if you can't see that half-boiled guy standing down the corridor and you are going at a pretty decent speed. Without a helmet.

[Said half-boiled guy is sadly facing the other way, face buried in goggles, and oblivious to the sound of an incoming teenager.]

_{...okay so that's a wall...and..._{[THATS A PERSON CRASHBOOM, have a teenage male smashed in to your ribcage, Shou. The skateboard kept going a few feet even after Rox clonked to the ground, landing funny on his leg and overall being quite flaily.

Luckily nobody could see that embarrassing mess except, you know, denden sensor and all.]}}

[With a yelp and an undignified noise that may be a scream, Shoutarou falls in the opposite direction. The goggles clatter several feet away, and Shou groans.]

[Then he flips over.]

Who the hell just did that?!

...ow...

[He'll get to your inquiries after he tries- and fails -to check himself over for injuries.]

Sorry- are you okay?

[Shou grumbles, sitting up.] Yeah - how about you?

[Pause.]

Wait, Ven? Is that you?

Yeah, I'm-

[Beat.]

...not, Ven. [You might be able to see his deadpan through the dark, but he's also fumbling for his skateboard.] I'm Roxas.

Ah, sorry. Kinda sounded like him. [Shou's fumbling around too, for the Denden Sensor...]

[...and his hand lands on a flat surface. It promptly slips out from under him and goes a-clattering.]

[If he could have seen that then he would have cracked up.]

Oh! [Hey look he found his skateboard.] Yeah...we get that a lot.

[Shoutarou grumbles, getting back up on his hands and knees, feeling around to see if he can find the sensor...]

Oh, you know him?

I only met him since he got here, but he's my room mate, so...

[He's just gonna stand over here and shift his knee funny.]

Ahh, okay... [Shoutarou answers, though he's only half paying attention as he mumbles to himself, then he finally lays hands on a familiar piece of plastic and metal.]

Aha!

Aha? [Eyebrow raise you can't see.] What, you dropped something too...?

[And a hand is reached out, trying to feel to see if Shou needs help up or something.]

Yeah, my goggles. Got 'em now, though. [He stands up, brushing himself off and adjusting his hat.]

Goggles? [Rox dropped his hand.] Sorry if they're broken or anything.

Nah, they're fine - they can take a little damage. Wouldn't be very useful if they broke easily.

Well, I guess that's good. Is that how you're getting around?

[...he feels kinda weird talking in the dark, just fyi.]

Yeah. Need a hand getting anywhere?

[It is a bit awkward, isn't it?]

Uh! Oh, no, I was just trying to find my room. [In the worst way possible.] ...I guess I got a little impatient.

[He's totally not hugging his skateboard close, by the way.]
