Summary: Power's out, and Shou has night-vision goggles. Also he finds the the storm fascinating.

Floor Four

[After the broadcast, Shou was heading back upstairs to check on the others when he got rather caught up in watching the storm outside. After all, watching the rain is a hardboiled thing to do, right?]

Dorms

[Shou's going from room to room, checking on others there, using the DenDen Sensor to navigate the dark hallways. Bless Philip for putting this thing together, even it seemed silly at the time.]

[If he was visible, she could see him doing a double-take.]

[There's the sound of footsteps coming closer.]

I'm right in front of you now - where do you need to go?

[ She reaches out a hand, hoping to feel something solid in front of her. ]

Okay. At least there's some light in the rooms from what I've seen. [She'll feel a hand meeting that hand, and lightly tug off in the direction she was heading.]

[ She holds onto his hand tightly, slowly following behind him. No, she's not going to die now. She's not going to die ever, in any case. Not on her watch. ]

[He sighs, then swallows.]

I heard something too, so you're not the only one hearing them.

[ She shakes her head, tightening her grip on Shoutarou's hand. ]

I hope they survived the destruction...

[He squeezes back.] As do I, for everyone...

[There's a pause, then he nods, though it goes unseen.]

Right. [There's a drawing of breath, then a sigh, as if reassuring himself.]

[ She squeezes his hand again, squinting a little. Still not much light for her to see. ]

Are we close?

[There's a pause as Shoutarou peers at a door, trying to parse the numbers on it.]

I think this is it...

Ah, thank goodness...

[ She gives Shoutarou a hug and a kiss on the cheek, which landed on the ear instead since she couldn't quite see where she's aiming. ]

[Though Spain can't see it, there's a faint red tint on Shou's face, and he pulls the brim of his hat down a bit in a slight tip.]
