Alone in the D/The Thunder Rolls

Summary: Power's out, and Shou has night-vision goggles. Also he finds the the storm fascinating.

Floor Four

[After the broadcast, Shou was heading back upstairs to check on the others when he got rather caught up in watching the storm outside. After all, watching the rain is a hardboiled thing to do, right?]

Dorms

[Shou's going from room to room, checking on others there, using the DenDen Sensor to navigate the dark hallways. Bless Philip for putting this thing together, even it seemed silly at the time.]

[She hears him and his frantic movements but she can't do anything - nothing except to whisper with a cracked voice:] ... don't... [The ghost is too close now and her eyes shut with fatigue as she hopes Shoutarou heeds her warning to stay away.]

[Unfortunately, Shoutarou is too dumb to give up, especially when it comes to helping people in need, even if it does put his life at risk. Just ask Terui Ryu if he shows up.]

[He tries to grab onto Francisca again, but the wave of weakness hits, and he only slumps against the opposite side of the door frame.]

[If she had the energy to, she'd roll her eyes. As it is, she falls to her side and manages to push them both into the room, the ghost hovering at the threshold but unable to pass.]

[Falling back, his hat falls off, but there's a faint smile on his face.] _{They don't call me...half-boiled...for nothing...}

[One arm flops weakly over her, and he sighs.]

[Shou shakes his head.] _{I'm not sure.} [He reaches in his jacket, pulling the Joker Memory out again, and clicked it.]

_{...not that I'm in any hurry to get close to them again to test it, but I think they're capable of disabling my Gaia Memories.}
