[OPEN] Lay down your sweet, weary head...
Characters: Gimli and YOU.
Setting: The Cafeteria.
Format: Action to start, but I'll match you!
Summary: ...nutrition bars. Really, that's all you need to know. Gimli and nutrition bars.
Warnings: None, I think? I'll add if necessary.
[The people in charge of this floor had pretty much shoved the oatmeal at him when he first arrived and... well, it was bland and not particularly exciting, but certainly not the worst he'd ever tasted. But a dwarf is not meant to live off oats and water! A dwarf needs meat! And ale!
And Gimli did not find either in this odd-looking kitchen.
If you wander into the cafeteria, you will find a slightly bemused dwarf in full battle/travel gear, axes and all, staring somewhat unconvinced at the bunch of nutrition bars he was given.]
Tis not Lembas, surely?

Well, if you're done catching your breath we can go in and have us a little contest. Though if I understand correctly, if the sun never rises, then the prey never stops coming, eh?
no subject
[A seemingly arrogant grin, obviously amused as he knocks back an arrow, entering the floor he had lead them to.]
As far as I have seen, they do not stop. Unless we should somehow wipe out everything on this floor. Do you think that you can keep up with me?
no subject
I suppose I could, but it's reckless to stay here for as long as that would take. Perhaps a limit on either time or number of kills?
no subject
Perhaps the first to fifty is victor? That seems a fair enough number and should not tire us too greatly.
no subject
Sounds good to me.
[He grins.]
Have at it, Forest Princeling!

I feel almost guilty. I've have more time in this place than yourself.
[Already letting a few arrows fly already, finding their mark in the eyes of their quarry.]
no subject
Oh, don't give me that. This has nothing to do with time and everything to do with skill!
no subject
Of course but I've had the time to learn the monsters.
no subject
[And now watch this graceful turn as he slams the axe into a monster's face.]
They're moving, and then you pound them until they're not.
no subject
[Rather than waste more arrows, Legolas draws his short swords and attacks another.]
no subject
[Gimli snorts not unlike a horse about to take on a great effort and sprints in with the double edged axe at the ready.]
no subject
[Legolas is right alongside him, arms snapping outward to stab at a pair of monsters nearby and making a squelching noise.]
