Format: However you want to roll. Mainly doing prose in brackets.
Summary: Lucifer decides to discover the brand new cage he's been gifted with being stuck in.
Warnings: I don't know when to shut up sometimes sorry.

[Finding himself in a new world was far from being a new experience for Lucifer. It was often that he found his battle with YHVH spanning different worlds as the forces of Law and Chaos clashed against one another. But being pulled to one against his will was far more rare, let alone to a world he had never heard of or seen before. That there should be one he had no knowledge of was both intriguing and an annoyance that he should have been dragged to it.

Still, since all attempts to leave this dimension since he had gotten here had proven fruitless he supposed it would be for the best to explore the his new habitat. And he can be found doing just that in a couple different ways.]

[Around the Tower, Random]

[If you're going around the tower today, you'll find a small blonde-haired boy, probably no older than ten, scrutinizing and examining the tower as closely as possible. He runs his hands across the walls, looking for imperfections or any possible latches or secrets in it. His hands run across the floors looking for the same, and sometimes the ceilings.

Of course, he can't reach the ceilings naturally. That's why he's summoned a large red demon whose shoulders he's standing on as he examines the ceiling. He could have changed to one of his adult or demonic forms himself, he supposed. But he found this more entertaining.

Alternatively, you may be walking through the tower when you hear a voice behind you proclaim]

You. I wish to speak with you.

[Which is funny. Because you could have sworn there was no little boy there before.]

[Room Twenty Eight]

[Lucifer was always made to be a killer and a being capable of mass destruction, but alongside that had been his role as the angel who led the angelic choir in singing their praises to God.

That role and part of him was long gone and past. But Lucifer still at times had a penchant for music. And even he couldn't keep himself from taking some of an interest in it when he entered this room.

Anyone else who enters the room will hear someone playing the grand organ. Lucifer's rather quite good at it, and practiced, despite how young he looks.]

[Floor Thirteen]

[Oh. How lovely.

Lucifer didn't so much hate Cathedrals as he merely found them in poor taste. But then again he always found anything relating to his Father as such. He looks bored and somewhat annoyed as he listens to the indistinct mumbling that fills the floor. He can only assume that it would be praise to YHVH even if he can't hear exactly what's being said, and he searches through the pews to see if he can find any evidence of it being a dedication to God, though after a while he stops.

He turns his head up to the sky, shaking it a bit.]

I suppose this must be a great help to you, isn't it?

[He hadn't heard his voice before, with the Old Woman doing the speaking for him, but the minute those words escaped Lucifer's lips, Naoki froze mid-walk and turned around to see the boy looking at him.

Oh. Oh. It was honestly not someone he was expecting, but strangely enough he felt almost...well not exactly happy but not annoyed by his presence. He didn't blink at the Oni with him either, just...stared, a million questions burning in his head. Why was he here? Did this have to do with the rebirth of the world? Was he here to reprimand him for failing doing that? Was it something else? Why did he have a collar too?...]

[He had sensed you, though, Naoki. How could he not. You were one of the few demons whose creation he was truly responsible for. Because of that he had...he wouldn't call it an affection for Naoki, so much as a far greater interest in observing his actions than even the First Champion or Aleph had been able to capture his interest.

Lucifer stops for a moment, tilting his head as he peers over at Naoki, the "child" still sitting tall on the the Oni's shoulders.]

Do you believe them?

[Sorry still freaking out you were talking That, on the other hand, was something easy enough to answer. Ever since he had arrived here, it had been one of the constant thoughts in his mind, as he had pondered about it over and over. Meeting new people, where they all came from, remembering the worlds about the multiple worlds and even universes. The talk with the man who worked here a few weeks ago.

He just couldn't accept everything presented as absolute fact. You could say it wasn't in his nature to do so. That questioning nature, he might have gotten a part from you.

Naoki shook his head, crossing his arms.]

[Good. That answer pleases him and if he was more open with his emotions perhaps he would even smile a little. As it stands now, Lucifer merely slides down the Oni's back and onto the floor before summoning the demon back to its own dimension and place.

It wasn't impossible that the world might be destroyed. After all, if you had chosen to finish the Labyrinth and accepted his own decision to kill Kagatsuchi and move the world back into primal chaos that the Creator couldn't manipulate and was thus safe from His interference, the world would have theoretically been dead. But he can tell already from the general sense of you and your eyes that you hadn't chosen that path.

He suspects he came from the same permutation as you did, though he doesn't find that important enough to mention for now.]

How long have you been here?

[Because there's the chance he could get knowledge out of you, and speaking with you may be easier than others.]

[Ryoji is heading up towards the library, a book in his hand. He jerks a little bit at the voice, and he turns and looks at the boy behind him.]

Huh? Why? I don't think I know you.

[firstofthefallen]

No. You don't. But I need to speak with you anyway.

[Although he does know you, if only ancillary. And even if you feel a bit off, Appriser. You don't exactly feel like the fraction of Nyx that was supposed to have come down to the world that had so been split off from the rest of the Amala Network, and was often left unbothered by himself and YHVH's actions.]

What do you know of this place?

Oh, you're new. That explains it. This place... no one knows what it's called, so we just call it the Tower. There's a lot of people here from different worlds, and some from different versions of the same worlds. There can be multiple versions of people, too. There's also experiments that happen sometimes. They're always terrible, from what I've heard and seen.

[He has to think about it. Mentally count back the days...he is surprised at how little he reaches at.]

Two weeks?

[It feels like he's been here for much longer. In reality it hasn't been that long, just the adoptive side of him that was forged in the Vortex World quickly adjusting to this new reality.]

[Eikichi can't help but stop playing when he hears the organ begin and surprisingly stays quiet for most of it. The music has a regal-like quality to it, nothing popular that he might know, but it's got a good rhythm and for a kid, the little guy's really good!

There's just this weird vibe he's getting from him that he can't quiet place. And Hade is staying quiet again. By this point, he has a feeling something's up. Still he wasn't going to just stand there, better go out and great the guy!]

[Then most likely not enough to know too much about the place. And directly asking you what you've learned isn't really his way, let alone the fact that you don't necessarily need to answer him. He makes a small noise as he thinks, leaning against the wall a bit as he brings a finger to his lips.]

Whatever they're using, magic or technology or something in between, is impressive to drag us here.

I suppose the fate of your world, then, is at a stalemate at least for now.

No one knows, or merely no one has told us? Has no one spoken to those who may have brought us here?

[The different worlds thing is no big news to him. He does that crap all the time. The experiments, however, could be a point of concern and he's curious about asking about them. But he'll choose to leave that for a point to ask on later.]

[Lucifer stops playing and turns his head a bit to face Eikichi. Ah. One of those who had been involved in Philemon and Nyarlathotep's "game". He nods a little bit at him.]

[Minato pause and looks behind him, seeing a little boy there. Odd, where did he come from? If Minato's surprised, he doesn't show it.]

[A polite tone, and a question. He turns around to face the boy, somewhat wary of him. The voices are reacting oddly.]

[Lucifer looks up Minato, his eyes failing to betray the sense of recognization he has at seeing him. You may not know him, at least not on any personal level, but he does know you.]

I wish to know what you know of this place.

Someone answered some questions on the network a little while ago. I didn't understand a lot of it... and some of the stuff I did understand I didn't believe. They said that we're all from different worlds - even if we remember the same things happening.

[Again, not surprising. Lucifer's been in several worlds before, and the idea that may have been the main revelation or the extent of the information annoys him. He tries to keep it out of his voice.]

Did they say nothing else? Such as how our worlds would have been destroyed?

[Going home wasn't an option for now, since there didn't seem to be a way to get home (yet), but Rin was still surprised to see a little bit of home even in this strange place.

Sure, he hadn't grown up in a cathedral as grand as this, but it was the setting of a closed area dedicated to worship that was soothing - and disturbing - in its own way. Rin sat in one of the pews, staring at the stories depicted in the stained glass windows. The sound of someone else's voice distracted him, but it was difficult to make out exactly what they said. But was it really someone? It could have been something else... He sat up straight and took a look around him, spotting the kid in a moment.]

Who are you?

[Lucifer looks over at Rin, trying hard to make the turn of his head look casual and not the fact that he's managed to be surprised. Dammit. How did he not notice someone else in the cathedral.]

Louis. I'm new here, would be the simplest way to put it.

And you are?

[He doesn't move from where he's sitting, partial because he's quite comfortable where he is and partial because he has no idea what Lucifer's intentions are. Looks were deceiving.]

Same here. This was the only place that seemed decent enough to stay for a while.

[Lucifer lets out a small "hmph" from the back of his throat, looking over at one of the stained glass windows. It's not easy to notice, but there's clear disgust in his gaze.]

I find it rather tacky. But it has it's charms in its own odd way.

[Or familiarity. Even if he hates it, it is at least familiar.]

Tacky because it's so damn big? Yeah, I'll agree with that. What sort of charms do you mean?

[Rin can't help but laugh at the sound Lucifer made. It seemed out of place to him, in a place as quiet as the cathedral. Still, it wasn't as if he were one to talk.]

A cage? What do you mean by that?

They showed a video. It was like a bright light, the whole planet glowing... and then it was dead. I don't know why.

[...That does sound a bit familiar. Almost like what would happen in the situation of a Conception failing with Kagatsuchi being killed. But even then the "death" of the world was it simply being reduced to a state of primal chaos where life would spring again, outside the influence of God.

But even with so many here from the Amala Network universes, this doesn't feel like the work of YHVH. There's something wrong here.]

I find it naive. And while I abhor most naive intentions and demonstrations, I suppose there is some innocence to this that makes it almost have worth.

[Lucifer rolls his shoulders a bit, looking back over at Rin.]

Yeah. I know. I don't know how much of what they tell us is true. It's... disturbing, what they do let us see.
