There is no such thing as lost [Open]
Characters: Lucifer and you/open to all
Setting: All around the Tower, with a few specific stops in a couple rooms
Format: However you want to roll. Mainly doing prose in brackets.
Summary: Lucifer decides to discover the brand new cage he's been gifted with being stuck in.
Warnings: I don't know when to shut up sometimes sorry.
[Finding himself in a new world was far from being a new experience for Lucifer. It was often that he found his battle with YHVH spanning different worlds as the forces of Law and Chaos clashed against one another. But being pulled to one against his will was far more rare, let alone to a world he had never heard of or seen before. That there should be one he had no knowledge of was both intriguing and an annoyance that he should have been dragged to it.
Still, since all attempts to leave this dimension since he had gotten here had proven fruitless he supposed it would be for the best to explore the his new habitat. And he can be found doing just that in a couple different ways.]
[Around the Tower, Random]
[If you're going around the tower today, you'll find a small blonde-haired boy, probably no older than ten, scrutinizing and examining the tower as closely as possible. He runs his hands across the walls, looking for imperfections or any possible latches or secrets in it. His hands run across the floors looking for the same, and sometimes the ceilings.
Of course, he can't reach the ceilings naturally. That's why he's summoned a large red demon whose shoulders he's standing on as he examines the ceiling. He could have changed to one of his adult or demonic forms himself, he supposed. But he found this more entertaining.
Alternatively, you may be walking through the tower when you hear a voice behind you proclaim]
You. I wish to speak with you.
[Which is funny. Because you could have sworn there was no little boy there before.]
[Room Twenty Eight]
[Lucifer was always made to be a killer and a being capable of mass destruction, but alongside that had been his role as the angel who led the angelic choir in singing their praises to God.
That role and part of him was long gone and past. But Lucifer still at times had a penchant for music. And even he couldn't keep himself from taking some of an interest in it when he entered this room.
Anyone else who enters the room will hear someone playing the grand organ. Lucifer's rather quite good at it, and practiced, despite how young he looks.]
[Floor Thirteen]
[Oh. How lovely.
Lucifer didn't so much hate Cathedrals as he merely found them in poor taste. But then again he always found anything relating to his Father as such. He looks bored and somewhat annoyed as he listens to the indistinct mumbling that fills the floor. He can only assume that it would be praise to YHVH even if he can't hear exactly what's being said, and he searches through the pews to see if he can find any evidence of it being a dedication to God, though after a while he stops.
He turns his head up to the sky, shaking it a bit.]
I suppose this must be a great help to you, isn't it?

I had to roll for scenario I wanted them to meet - Hallways won
Oh. Oh. It was honestly not someone he was expecting, but strangely enough he felt almost...well not exactly happy but not annoyed by his presence. He didn't blink at the Oni with him either, just...stared, a million questions burning in his head. Why was he here? Did this have to do with the rebirth of the world? Was he here to reprimand him for failing doing that? Was it something else? Why did he have a collar too?...]
no subject
Lucifer stops for a moment, tilting his head as he peers over at Naoki, the "child" still sitting tall on the the Oni's shoulders.]
Do you believe them?
no subject
Sorry still freaking out you were talkingThat, on the other hand, was something easy enough to answer. Ever since he had arrived here, it had been one of the constant thoughts in his mind, as he had pondered about it over and over. Meeting new people, where they all came from, remembering the worlds about the multiple worlds and even universes. The talk with the man who worked here a few weeks ago.He just couldn't accept everything presented as absolute fact. You could say it wasn't in his nature to do so. That questioning nature, he might have gotten a part from you.
Naoki shook his head, crossing his arms.]

Huh? Why? I don't think I know you.

[Although he does know you, if only ancillary. And even if you feel a bit off, Appriser. You don't exactly feel like the fraction of Nyx that was supposed to have come down to the world that had so been split off from the rest of the Amala Network, and was often left unbothered by himself and YHVH's actions.]

There's just this weird vibe he's getting from him that he can't quiet place. And Hade is staying quiet again. By this point, he has a feeling something's up. Still he wasn't going to just stand there, better go out and great the guy!]
Hey! You got some good musical skills, bro!
no subject
Thank you. I've quite a bit of practice.
some hallway or whatever
...May I help you?
[A polite tone, and a question. He turns around to face the boy, somewhat wary of him. The voices are reacting oddly.]

You may.
I wish to know what you know of this place.

For now, he knows him as an unusual, young looking boy.]
This tower is where we're brought. The people in charge claims it's because they manage to save one person from each destroyed world.
[But he don't believe them.]

Sure, he hadn't grown up in a cathedral as grand as this, but it was the setting of a closed area dedicated to worship that was soothing - and disturbing - in its own way. Rin sat in one of the pews, staring at the stories depicted in the stained glass windows. The sound of someone else's voice distracted him, but it was difficult to make out exactly what they said. But was it really someone? It could have been something else... He sat up straight and took a look around him, spotting the kid in a moment.]
Who are you?
no subject
Louis. I'm new here, would be the simplest way to put it.
And you are?
no subject
Same here. This was the only place that seemed decent enough to stay for a while.
...I'm Rin Okumura.

Encounter at Hallway
But not at the moment, obviously.
Answering the-- summons, Fuhito turns slowly, regarding the child with a slight tilt of his head.]
Do you, now.
no subject
[He shows neither any form of hesitation or possible fear at speaking to a strange adult. His tone does, at least, sound respectful although he clearly expects you to answer him.]
I wish to know what knowledge you have of this place. I've gathered small bits and pieces here and there, but very little otherwise.

I am in the process of gathering data on the Tower, thereby hoping to discover the nature of its creators and maintainers. Knowing a great deal about Planetary structure and behavior as I do, I do not accept their claims regarding the destruction of our home worlds.
So much is meant to to be taken at face value here, when in reality, doing so would be quite foolhardy. Information is disseminated, but it lacks scientific proof. Many believe the things they have seen, have been shown, by way of explanation. Environments of destruction, demoralizing images.
I theorize that this might in fact an elaborate experiment.
Do you have a theory of your own, then?

Random Encounter -- on the way to the Media Floor
Given how many times he's spoken with Pharos, little boys suddenly appearing and demanding things of him is nothing new. Though he is silently grateful this one isn't doing it while he's trying to sleep.
Though the fact Thanatos is being quite guarded in his mind, whispering something nondescript, is a little strange... ]
... About what?
[ He won't ask why, because he's got a feeling it's kind of obvious if he's right. Whatever, he talks to creepy little children all the time. This is no big deal. ]
no subject
[And Lucifer has to pause for a moment. Didn't he speak with you just a bit earlier? He should have noticed it was the same damn person.
And yet this Minato feels...different. It's different in subtle ways from the one he had just spoken too. And in all honesty it was not as if multiples of a person should be a surprise to him. Every world he and YHVH had played against one another had splintered several times, each with a different conceivable outcome that was made true due to the way the Amala Network worked.
But the world that had been split off from the world where their first battle was fought, the permutation that had never known the thunder or fire of Thor's Hammer....he hadn't known there had been permutations of that universe. At least, hadn't known there had been ones beyond the split caused by Philemon and Nyarlathotep in their game.
It's a shock, in a way. You are Minato, but you aren't the Minato he had spoken with earlier or the one he did know. You're something new and old all at the same time and he's not quite sure what it IS that makes you different yet.
Despite all this racing through Lucifer's mind, his composition is actually regained immediately after the first brief pause.]
I wish to know what you know about this place. All I've gathered from the others I've spoken with is that we've been brought here under the belief our worlds were destroyed, and I understood that just from the note we got upon arrival.
no subject
[ Sorry he has to be blunt, because he has no idea what is going through your head, and also because he is... not okay with this notion.
In the least. ]
The reason they've brought us here is because we're test subjects. That's the truth. No one here is immune to it, either.

Twenty-Eight
How ironic, then, was it that he felt that spark of familiarity from that same organ? The star had paused at the room's entrance, before floating closer at a much brisker pace than usual. No doubt about it- that which sat there was someone he held in high esteem. He wanted to be pleased, but...something rung odd and wrong at the sight.]
To be able to collect even you...
[What more did he have to say? This was definitely not the work of Polaris now- deep down, he could not accept even the Heavenly Throne could put a leash on Lucifer.]
Perhaps I have underestimated this place.
no subject
It's impressive. And this place has no bearing at all to the Amala Network from what I can perceive.
It's foolish to underestimate an opponent. Just as it is to overestimate one.
Hello, Alcor.

[One of them was clearly more bothered than the other, but Lucy was an old hand at this stuff.]
I am yet new, you know that. [Even while admitting he was a newbie, he did manage a fond smile.] I am glad to see you, Lucifer, even if I am sure we both would have preferred a different meeting.
[He paused, bringing a finger delicately to his chin.] I feel we may have a matter to discuss however, time permitting.

Floor 28
[Echidna was standing behind the seat of the grand piano, her hands on her hips and an array of sheet music being held onto with one hand. And she was grinning.
And whoops she didn't even notice if she was interrupting.]
no subject
At the same time it was still annoying as hell. But he can't get too upset with how chipper a thing Echidna seems to be. He keeps playing without pause or faltering on the keys. It's too ingrained into his own being.]
I think it does, yes. Most music is worth listening to at least once.
