(no subject)
Character(s): Nanoha and anyone.
Setting: Dorms
Format: Begins prose, will follow any.
Summary: Nanoha finally gets up and has a look around.
Warnings: None, yet.
Dorms: Room 2-11
Waking up ends up being a troubling experience. The paralysis, though brief, is not something she's used to experiencing. Thus, once she can sit up it serves to be highly disorienting. She does not panic when realizing she's not home, nor anywhere she recognizes.
Military training kicks in, and she just moves to investigate her surrounding area. She finds the trunk, with several sets of clothes, Raising Heart, and a lot of ammunition. She dresses quickly in her casual clothes and scoops up the small jewel, just trying to keep herself moving.
She reads the letters, certainly. For a fraction of a moment, she almost lets her emotions get the better of her. She quickly pushes that down.
If there was something - anything - capable of destroying Earth, Mid-Childa, or all the worlds that the TSAB polices... she would have known about it. The TSAB would have known.
Right?
=====
Dorms: Hallways
Keep moving. Investigate. She needed to keep reminding herself to do this, and eventually she makes her way out into the dorm halls. She searches for a way out of here - the Dorms, at least, if not this entire place.
Again, she stuffs her base emotional response to the implications of everything if this letter was right. If even just Earth was gone, then her family, her school friends...
If it stretched further than that... Fate, Hayate, Vita, Chrono, and all the rest...
If anyone were to come across her, these thoughts wouldn't show, though. She attempts to come off just as a normal seventeen year old girl, for the moment, until she has a better grasp of just what's going on...
For one thing, the lighting around here sure seemed to leave something to be desired.

Hallways
It's the sound of Kohaku's geta that give her away, way before she's close enough to be easily visible to Nanoha in the darkened halls. It's rather ominous.
For her part, Kohaku's used to moving around in dark places, so the wrecked visibility doesn't bother her much. Just keep a hand to the wall and don't go faster than an amble, right?
Re: Hallways
this time. She does stop and observe Kohaku as she nears, tilting her head curiously to one side as she slows to a stop."Well, hello there!" she greets cheerfully, holding her hands behind her back.
All things considered, that may seem a bit too cheerful given the situation she's just found herself in. This is a fact that doesn't really click with her until a few seconds after the words leave her mouth.
So she just rolls with it and smiles anyway.
