Infirmary [open]

Characters: Shion and everyone who wants to help him
Setting: Infirmary
Format: Whatever you like best
Summary: After seeing Tara and how hurt she was, and seeing as there is no working infirmary Shion tries to do something to help
Warnings: Just general horror stuff

Shion was trying to keep busy, he was training with Reno and Xion, helping gathering food and generally trying to keep going. He wore the pin Reno had given him on his shirt collar; he really was just beginning to grasp all that it stood for and probably wouldn't for a long time. But he understood family and though Reno and Xion would never replace his mum, Nezumi, Safu, those he had lost... They could be another family, one here. People to care for, who cared for him in return.

So he was recovering, slowly, a step at a time and today would be another step. After helping Tara he had realised that without workers those who were injured would not get any care. The infirmary was as dark as everywhere else and that meant there would probably be monsters there at times...

Shion didn't know much about medicine, but he knew enough to clean and bandage wounds, even to deal with broken bones though he had never done that for real. Reno's spare EMR in hand Shion entered the infirmary. He should probably start with one room, if he could get one of the examination rooms organised it would be a start. He began moving things about, dust had began to gather and so all the sides needed washing, so he started with that.

"Ah, ecology." Somehow, he even manages not to sound sarcastic as he says this. He knows a great deal about ecology himself, but much of his work involved rewriting ecology. "I myself am a biologist, but I also have extensive medical knowledge. It is rather likely that people will be injured, especially with conditions as they are now."

He nods. He's far more interested in gathering samples and test subjects than he is in healing anyone, but he can do both. The latter will make the former so much easier. So he smiles back.

"I know a good deal more than most people. I am one of the leading scientists in my field, and I have been so for decades," said Hojo, conveniently ignoring the fact that almost all of said scientists, including himself, were dead, and largely because of their own work.

Fortunately, Hojo was more than a little used to babbling researchers. "Ah, I see. The power is off, and so, like everything else, the revival process has been affected. Unsurprising. Yet interesting..."

He seemed to think this over. The mystery of the Tower--now, that interested him, far more than anyone's inconsequential injuries. After a moment, he nodded. "I will serve as doctor here. You can assist me."

"I can easily heal any non-fatal injury," he said. He was very confident, as not only did he have his skills as a surgeon, but he had his Materia.

"Indeed, it does. It's a shame there's so little light, but we'll have to make do. You've been cleaning, I see. Have any supplies been left behind? I have a medical kit."
