Dormitory Area

[This is Link.

This is Link on the dormitory area. This is Link peeking into the rooms to see what is in them.

This is Link not quite picking up yet that almost the entire floor is private living quarters.

Reachable Floors

[The power might be out and there might be monsters roaming the halls, but when has this ever stopped him from getting anywhere?

Exactly. Which is why it's pretty easy to bump into him today. Poking his nose into every floor he could reach. It's easy to tell that he's Link, but a new one, not one of the ones you've probably met in the Tower. Different hair, kinda, different...build, almost stocky.

He doesn't notice anyone watching him at first, though. He's just focused on continuing further into the Tower. For now, anyway.]

[ Unfortunately for this Hero, the first person meant to cross his path in the tower is a certain pig.

Ganondorf was on his way to the pipe-organ in order to practice some more, when he found... A Hero before him. He stopped in his tracks when he found himself facing this Hero. And not one of the four he's met before in his homeworld or in the tower. Nope, a totally brand new one. A fifth one. Why. ]

...

[ Unbelievable.

What the hell did he do to the Gods to deserve that kind of treatment. People ask why he hates the Gods so much. That they count the number of Heroes in this tower and they'll have their answer.

Ganondorf will just stare and contemplate cutting his arms off or something. Or wait there's this truce going on with Fado. ... ]

[Not only that, but it looks like there's some family resemblance to the Hero of Time.

So yeah, enjoy thinking about that.]

...? [Meanwhile, he looks at Ganondorf as if he doesn't know who the hell this is (he doesn't), but he feels...tense anyway because they are soul-bonded Kismesis for some strange reason. Maybe it's just the way he's being looked at, or maybe it's because his left hand seems to suddenly be getting all warm, or just the guy's attitude.

But for some reason, he doesn't like this guy...which is pretty weird, since he likes everyone he's met so far. Even Midna didn't cause him to raise his hackles this much. At any rate, Link stares back, even if he has to crane his neck to do so, and starts to feel kind of irritable.]

...Yeah? [Said with a slight undercurrent of "What's your problem?"]

[ As he finally truly realizes that the Goddesses sent a fifth Hero on his way, Ganondorf starts... To laugh. His laugh lasts, he turns his back to Link and walks toward the pipe-organ. Five Link. Why is he the only damn Ganondorf in this tower? One could wonder. ]

Is that so?

[ His laugh finally fades and his voice gets grave- He doesn't face the boy just yet though. ]

What are you Hero of, Link? What's the title you are known by?

[His stomach drops. This guy apparently knows him, but how? It's not Zant, he's seen him already, and he doesn't look or sound like him at all...although what they're wearing is pretty similar. But...

Well, no reason to lie to him. May as well tell the truth. Or what he knows of it.]

The...Hero Chosen by the Gods. [According to Faron, anyway.]

[ He chuckled lowly. Not the good answer. All the Heroes were chosen by the Gods in Hyrule, Chosen by the Gods was little more than a general title. If this Hero had not his own title yet, like the Hero of Time or the Hero of Winds, it could only mean- ]

You have not yet fulfilled the destiny they have written for you.

[ Which was both a good and bad new as far as Ganondorf was concerned. Hum, this one obviously had not met him or another of his incarnation yet... He keeps his back turned to the Hero for now. ]

Dorm area

[Another day, another Master Link. There were a lot of them in this tower but at least Fi could recognize the differences between them.

If he really looked at Fi, he might notice how strikingly similar to looks to a certain weapon.]

[Well, no. He was working on it, though. Let's see, the Sages told him about Ganondorf and...

...Wait.]

...Ever met anybody named Zant? [He didn't know if this was actually Ganondorf. But he's heard about him, and this guy seemed the type to like the sound of his own voice, so getting him to talk probably wouldn't be hard.]

[More than just looks, though, she felt familiar, since so much of the Master Sword's magic hit him to get rid of Zant's curse. So much so that Link nodded to her at the greeting, like it was a pretty normal thing, before catching himself and staring at her because...really now. Just look at her.]

[ Zant? Sounds like the name of a potential servant as far as Ganondorf is concerned. And as the boy appeared in this tower, so may this Zant... Thanks for the good new boy. ]

[ He pauses and smiles, not that Link can see. ]

Or at least, not in this life. But worry not, your enemy is not in this tower.

[It's odd, how accustomed she's become to there being many Links. And how she knows which ones are which both by appearance and by their auras.]

[Well, this was awkward. At least, him being here wasn't a guarantee that Zant would show up.

Besides, if he did, then Ganondorf would get sick of him reeeeeeaaaaaaally quick.

Anyway, he's probably not lying. Everyone would be talking about the weird, tall guy from the Twilight Realm in the freaky-looking mask, so yeah, Link will take his word on that, but not much else.]

...But you know me. [Which is still rubbing him the wrong way. The "why?" that should be after that is unsaid, but it's there.]

[One of her masters...? What was she...?

The familiar feeling combined with how "Fi" looks suddenly clicks in his head and his breath catches. This...no way. His hand goes to the Master Sword's hilt, but he doesn't draw it, he just...grips it. Like he's trying to hold someone's hand...

He lets go and abruptly stands, looking a little embarrassed, but happy.]

I, uh...nice to meet... [No, that wasn't right, was it?] Nice to see you. [Yeah, that fit better.] I had this curse, and...I...thank you so much.

[So Midna wasn't being all poetic when she said that the sword "chose its Master"... If Fi reads his aura, out of all the Links already here, this one is the closest related to the Hero of Time.]

[ Ganondorf doesn't answer to Link. Instead he quietly goes and sit at the Organ. He starts playing a song, albeit a bit slower than that.

Link may notice the doors to exit the room close on their own when he starts playing. No way to say if this Ganondorf or the Tower's doing. ]

[If Fi could smile, she would. Instead, she simply nods as he grasps the hilt of the blade.]

I am not entirely responsible for breaking any curse you were under. Following the sealing of Demise, I entered in a sleep that was intended to be eternal. It was through the blessings of Hylia and the Golden Ones that you were freed of it.

[...Oh boy. This was more and more looking like a bossfight a hostile confrontation, and the longer this continued, the tenser he felt. Everything in him was screaming that this was his enemy, the one behind Zant, the one the Sages just told him about. He said he didn't know Zant, but...]

Ganondorf.

[That wasn't a question. This was the man from the desert who tried to overthrow Hyrule. At least, "tried" was key word for this one's timeline...]

[Yeah? Well...if she said so. And she was obviously right about the Goddesses, too (though it's strange, he's never heard of this Hylia before). Still...]

I was created by Her Grace, Hylia, for the sole purpose of guiding her Chosen Hero in his quest to seal away Demise. I was responsible for keeping him safe, helping him in every necessary way and tempering the Goddess Sword in the flames of the Golden Ones.

[O-Oh boy, it's story time!! Although, this is a lot more...detail than what he heard about.]

So...the sages helped to make it into the Master Sword, right?

No, the sages were not involved in the creation of the Master Sword, that I am aware of. It is possible they assisted Hylia. It started as the Goddess Sword, a weapon created by Her Grace and left for her Chosen Hero, in Skyloft.

For his journey, however, it would not be strong enough forever. And so it needed to be tempered in the three Sacred Flames: Farore's Flame, Nayru's Flame, and Din's Flame. The Flames purified the Goddess Sword and imbued it with their sacred power, allowing it to transform and its powers to be enhanced until it became the blade you now carry.
