'No idea why that came to mind.' It just did. Must be an internal iTunes shuffle...? Nah. Now that was just plain silly.
... It isn't long before the next one starts. It's deceptively cheerful, despite the lyrics.
'Withered flowers forget what they wept for day after day. Withered flowers blossom. In the stream of tears, they still think of the cause. Turning misery into meaningfulness, changing day after day. Turning misery into meaningfulness, changing day after day.'
'Your affection... Your affection... Taking pride from fear. Past will tell you when to make yourself a hero. Your affection... Your affection... Your affection... Past will tell you when to make yourself a hero']

[...they are going to do that, right?]
[The thought that Luke might end up stuck like this for the rest of his life twists his stomach, and he finds himself curling up again.]

It's quiet at first, but next one starts and steadily grows louder... It lacks in lyrics, but it encompasses the emotions of everyone there; forlorn, emotionless, maybe even scared... but there's a fierce determination prevalent in there. He's heard it so many times in band practice that it's affected what he hears while fighting in the other world. The trumpet and bass are most prevalent, because that's the chords and notes he knows the best.
He hasn't given up, and he's lost so much of himself that he didn't know who he was for a while after that. What he did know?
'Hang in there.' It was small, like a little girl's voice crying out... a memory. 'I'll be a good girl...'
'Get it together, dammit!' Another voice... and it probably sounds a lot like Luke's own, in a way. '-you know what else I see? You've forgotten just who the hell you are. No matter how bad it gets for them, no matter what hell they go through, they'll look to you for support.'
'Even if it seems impossible, even if we're stuck like this for a long time... We have to keep moving no matter what.' Yu's eyes close for a moment, burying his uncertainty and grief deep down into the black hole his lack of possibilities created. The others were hurting far, far worse... and all he could do was attempt to be there for them as much as he could.
Even without his Personas, he could feel his Arcana shifting to Strength.
'We can't see the ending to this part of our lives...but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Don't give up like I almost did.' Twice, now. Once here, and once back home when he was quite literally at death's door. Yet here he sits, still alive. They wouldn't forgive him for anything less.]
Never more will I be alone even in the darkness
I will find it, that precious thing I lost
Never more, because I’m sure your voice will guide me
[...note to self: A singer, yu probably not is.]
Luke and Brosuki need to meet now.
[...actually, he was a major ass to them.]
[After a moment, he hesitantly opened his mouth, speaking very carefully, though his words came out very soft as a result.]
We'll... get out. We'll make it... to the end... so we can see everyone... right?
Yes, good. :>
Considering the fact the other voices he could hear were muted aside from his teams', it was easier.]
Yes. [He answers it both mentally and out loud. 'No matter what, we'll get out of this. We made it through the labyrinth.']
<3 God this CR. ;_;
Th-thank... you.
<3 It is beautiful and only our feels hurt. ;_;
'Anytime.' Yu gives him a genuine smile, nodding. If he could pass on a sense of hope even when he felt so hollow inside, then... it's worth it. 'I'm Yu Narukami.']
Exactly. <3
L-Luke fon Fabre.
[He didn't bother with his title. "Ambassador of Peace" seemed pretty pointless in the face of all this.]
<3
'I'd say 'nice to meet you,' but considering where we are...' There's a sense of a humorless laugh in there, even as the monsters draw closer to his cell... ''Let's survive and meet again outside this hell' is more accurate.']
[> Despite Yu's words, you feel a strange sense of parental concern from the kid...]

[That's what an Ambassador was really supposed to do, right? Help people?]
Y-yes. Let's.

That's what a representative of Hope does, right? Reach out to others and carry the burdens they can't?
'It's a promise.']
