"...Hey." The voice came from somewhere else in the monstrosity, and it was hoarse from his previously failed attempts not to scream, but it maintained the strength of who he was. He'd promised someone else he would never forget that again, and now a kid needed that strength as well.

"Don't give up. We'll make it through this somehow." Whether it was false hope or not, he wasn't going to give in to their mad games. He'd fight, whether it be actual fighting or merely giving support to the others who were suffering alongside him.

Romeo looked round as best he could, but couldn't see because he kept being pulled about by the tentacles and didn't want to bash anyone with his antlers. He recognised the voice though, "Mister Yu?"

"We gotta..." He stumbled again, "Keep our spirits up... No matter what!"

"Yeah. It's me, Romeo-kun." He managed a faint smile, despite himself. They had to keep each other from falling. It was all most of them could do at this point, and there was no way he'd allow a child who's already suffered so much go it alone.

"Right. No matter what happens, we can pull through."

"Of course we can! We are braver than mister Jason ever will be, and miss Ruana too!" Because brave people didn't hurt others, and strong people didn't make other people cry. None of them were fit to be the leader because leaders gave those that followed them the strength to be brave. "Leaders who rely on fear aren't good leaders!"

"You're right, they're not." Yu nodded in agreement, wanting nothing more than to pulverize the people who did this to the younger ones here, but in the end... Jason got what he deserved. He only wished that punch to the face had worked out. "They're called tyrants for a reason; dictators. They have lost sight of what it truly means to lead."

"What's a dictator?" Romeo blinked, "Is it a bad leader?" Because if so he agreed, they didn't understand what it was to lead, and didn't deserve to be in charge.

[pitiedthefool]

"Yeah. They're a 'leader' who blinds themselves to the true state of things and needs of others or just don't care so long as they get what they want." Though he would admit that some weren't completely bad... but this was definitely in the negative aspects.

[myblueskies]

"That sounds a lot like mister Jason and miss Ruana..." Romeo nodded, "I wish there was a way to make them stop, or show them what a good leader is supposed to do..."

[pitiedthefool]

"It does, doesn't it." Yu nodded in agreement, trying not to elbow anyone in the process. "We will one day. Until then, let's try and keep everyone's spirits up the best we can. Alright?"

Romeo nodded, carefully trying not to poke anyone with his antlers. "That's a good idea, we just all need to keep our spirits up and we will be alright..." He still believed it, Alfredo would say the same thing.

"Exactly. Even if it isn't much, it's the least any of us can do; supporting one another." He always believed it deep down, even if just over a year ago, he was distancing himself from others. He couldn't do that, now.

Romeo nodded, "We are always stronger together, and as long as you have friends you can get through anything!"

[pitiedthefool]

"Yeah." Get through anything... He knew that better than most, even before coming here. This month only strengthened that idea in his heart and mind. "And no matter how far apart, the bonds never sever."

It's almost like he was talking to himself for a moment, there.

Romeo nodded again, stumbling as he was pulled a little further away. "You're right!"
