[He nods in agreement] I actually got these goggles from him. They help me focus on the spinning and dropping point of a soccer ball when in game, in other words they helped me with stealing, passing, dribbling, and keeping the ball. I don't need them anymore, I've been wearing them long enough that it's natural for me now, but I keep them on because they're my trademark.



...and because they're one of the only things I have to remember him by.

[chainsawn]

I think they suit you. They make you.. look cool. I think my own glasses I sometimes wear can't compare.. [ But it's not like she needs those either way, her eyesight is just fine - so she hardly even wear them. She hasn't even done so since coming here.

After a second she thoughtfully adds: ]

.. Um.. what do you look like without them..? I don't think you've taken them off yet, not where I could see.

Hm? [Now that he thinks about it, he's only taken them off once, maybe twice since he has arrived here.

...though he rarely takes them off back at home...]

[He will slip them off around his neck though, because she asked, and give her a small smile.]

I don't look very special without them, so it's not like your missing out on anything.

[chainsawn]

[ And then he says he doesn't look special-- well, apparently she doesn't seem to agree, since she's just.. staring for a few moments in amazement, give her a second to regain her senses enough to talk. ]

.. No. [ She shakes her head a little. ] Your eyes.. they're very pretty.

[pengeen]

[He blinks at her as he tries to comprehend her reaction.

She said his eyes were... pretty? Well, that's a first.]

Y-you think so? [Yeah he's starting to blush now.]

[chainsawn]

[ She just nods calmly, as if he is just reacting normally instead of being flustered. ]

Hmm. I do. They're a really nice and pretty red, I feel like I could keep staring at them..

[pengeen]

Th-thank you. [Wow how does he take a compliment.]

[And now he's going to smile, though his face is still ever so flustered] ...I think your eyes are very pretty, too.

[chainsawn]

Mine? [ She's about to say hers aren't anything special, but.. ah, that's what he said about his' too, right? Instead she just looks a little bashful as well, but since she's smiling it's probably in a content way. ]

.. Thank you. This is why you're such a nice person, Kidou-kun, just saying it like that..

[pengeen]

[He rubs the back of his head slightly]

I'm only saying what I think is true.

[chainsawn]

But not a lot of people took the time to say that before. So even if it's true.. not many people say it like you. [ at least she's still smiling. ]

[pengeen]

Oh, really? I can't imagine why not a lot of people have told you that before.

[chainsawn]

.. I guess I just.. haven't talked to many people. [ for a moment she's a little more quiet, her gaze wandering off towards the floor before she tries to sound a little braver again. ]

But it's fine. It's different here. Even while this is going on, I've gotten to know nice people, so.. it's really alright.

[pengeen]

[He's a bit quiet at that for a moment, before smiling warmly.]

I'm very glad to have met you, Urotsuki.

[chainsawn]

[ Now it's his turn to make her blush, clearly-- because for a few moments all she can do is stare as she feels her face lighting up at those words, the words she wants to hear more than anything.. the knowledge that she means something to someone. ]

I'm glad too.. .. Ah, to have met you, that is. [ By now her cheeks are pretty much fully pink. ] It's why I'm glad to be in this tower.

[pengeen]

[Yeah, he's still blushing a bit himself.] I hope we can continue to enjoy each others company like this when this is all over.

[chainsawn]

.. Are you saying.. you'd like to do something even when all of this is over?

[ Since part of her had been afraid of it - that after this, everything would go back to normal, nobody would be paying attention to her again. ]

With me..?

[pengeen]

Of course. [He tilts his head slightly.]

... Is that strange?

[chainsawn]

A-.. ah, no. [ She quickly shakes her head, afraid he'll get the wrong idea, and her cheeks flush a little bit again. ]

I'm glad to hear it, actually.. It's like a dream.

[pengeen]

Like a dream? [There are a lot of things he can get from that. Such as if it's like a dream, then perhaps she didn't have many friends back home and it's very different to have someone want to spend time with her.




.....or maybe it's like a dream because.... she likes him? Either way, he's going to smile and rub the back of his head.]

I'm happy to make you happy.

[chainsawn]

Hmm, like a dream. [ She nods, and while she doesn't exactly explain it, it's.. a little bit of both, really. ] I like dreams a lot.

[ as if to make it more clear that it's a good thing that it's like a dream. ]

That's why I'm so glad that being with you is like a dream.

[pengeen]

Then I'm glad that this is like a dream to you. [Let's hope it doesn't turn into a nightmare...]
