Entry tags:
[o1] ♮ MISSION ONE.
Characters:
Rhyth, her roomies, and whoever else runs into her!
Setting: Monday Morning: Room 2-15 -> Media Level -> Everywhere Else (afternoon)
Format: Action.
Summary: Another rudie arrives but this one has to adjust to her environment first...
Warnings: Possibly monsters, language, graffiti. Your character may get run over as well if not careful. Otherwise I'll add as they pop up!
[Room 2-15]
[ She would've screamed if she could have during the sleep paralysis. It frightened her--after all, she didn't remember going to sleep in a bed. She remembered taking a nap in her sleeping bag, crashing with the other GGs at the garage after a long day. She'd come back from work exhausted and wanted a nap. That night, though, she got paid, and had planned to spot a big dinner for everyone later in the week.
Kind of the last thing the girl expected was waking up in... well, an actual bed? She hadn't for ages. She usually crashed in a sleeping bag. When she awakes, she fumbles out of the bed, flipping out... just a little. ]
This is crazy, I've GOT to get this ugly thing off. Yuuuck, this is as bad as a Rokkaku uniform...
[ And right then and there with absolutely no shits given she finds her stuff in her trunk and pulls off the ugly white jumpsuit, changing into her actual clothing, which is kind of crazy, before pulling her skates on. She loads up on the graffiti cans in her trunk, as well. Thankfully the flickery power is on for once, as she pulls a mirror out and starts putting on make up. She hasn't yet read the notes given to her, instead, they're on her bed... she'll be in for a shock when she does. ]
[Media Level (Floor 14)]
[ Or maybe you've found Rhyth here after that trying to fiddle with things and finding herself. Eventually, she turns on some music, but it's not as good as what she wants. ]
Man, where is DJ-K when we need him? I miss his tunes...
[EVERYWHERE ELSE (specify, or don't!)]
[ After that, you can find Rhyth exploring all the floors she can reach, though you might run into her skating away or into monsters as she tags some with graffiti and performs some pretty ridiculous gymnastics. Grinding the stair rails is also a thing she'll be doing, so watch out if you're going up or down!
... Or you might just find her in a hallway or on a floor with a plain blank wall spraying graffiti. Either way, you're bound to bump into her somehow. ]
[ ooc: Edited this a bit to reflect info on Monday morning, namely the return of power. ]

[Hm. He was starting to kind of understand Alcor's language, he thinks.
He smiled and nodded.] GGs. I'll remember; promise.
[And he...somewhat hesitantly reached out a hand in greeting.] My name is Jun Kurosu.
no subject
Call me Rhyth!
[ Which in Japanese sounds like RIZU, the "Ri" is actually written on her face in Katakana, but yeah, not hard to tell. ]
Jun's a cute name! What d'you know about this tower? And have you heard about any crazy, ugly bald guys named Rokkaku? He might have made an adorable clone of one of your friends or something?
no subject
Um... I've never heard of a man named Rokkaku. [He... wasn't... really gonna touch on the clone thing. Shadows weren't really clones-- though they could certainly be misconstrued as clones-- but he was sure he himself wasn't bald.]
As for this tower... I don't really know all that much about it. I haven't been here for that long, but it seems there is a small assembly of people that run this place, and have collected people from all across different times, worlds and universes due to some sort of pan-dimensional cataclysm plaguing the outside.
no subject
Staaaaares. Pauses. Gauges Jun for lying potential, puts a hand on her hip, and then just sort of... processes this in her space cadet head.
Surprisingly, it ends up decently through her filter. Then she sort of skates back, turning a little, pacing, sort of? She's... thinking, yeah. She can do that. REALLY! But not without a lot of chatty self-girl talk. Oops. ]
So, um, somehow, I don't think Rokkaku's behind this. I thought he died anyway, he didn't seem like he was too fit to me... and it probably can't be the Noise Tanks, we broke them real good. Cube's chilling with us, so it can't be Poison Jam. I guess the Love Shockers might be feelin' kinda burned... and Rapid 99? Nahhh, I know them a little they're not so callous and creepy...
[ She's thinking aloud at this point. ]
... Hmm. Y'know, I really doubt anyone had the resources for this other than Rokkaku. And you're right, I can't see the soul of this place anywhere, it's SUPER creepy. But, see, Rokkaku was a really funny old guy. And he wanted to build this big 'ol tower and he cloned a friend of mine, though I think his clones were really BETTER anyway, they stunk less, but... yeah, see, towers. So I thought, you know, maybe it was him.
[ Then she stops, pauses, and looks at Jun. ]
So I guess this means it's a bunch of new people?! Whoa, they must be super rich and scifi! Huh... maybe I should tell Beat... um, you don't believe the letters, d'you?
no subject
See the...souls...?
[Oh right she was asking him a question--]
Well... I guess I do, to be honest.
no subject
Well, this Tower is just--see, back home in Tokyo, the Soul of the Streets usually manifested itself in these.
[ And as if out of nowhere there is now a yellow spray paint can in her hand. ]
But... there's not a single can anywhere here. Some people lose touch with the streets and stop seeing it, and then some are just born with that sight. Anyone who's living on them like we do can use them for all sorts of stuff, though. But it's just... this place literally has no soul. It's creepy.
no subject
You have some kind of...connection to the land then? [He didn't really know what a "soul of the street" was but...he could make some pretty good guesses, and if what he thought was right, it would make sense.]
This world is...different than others, I think. It's just a tower, it wouldn't be that far off to say it's entirely artificial. The construction and physics and unnatural and monsters are all over the place... so I guess if you can't see those cans, this place doesn't really have a "soul."
