Setting: The dorms (room 1-14), or the halls leading to them, around early afternoonish.
Format: [ Action, if you please! ]
Summary: Minato's MP3 player is running out of energy... and he is running out of ways to cope with all of the power outages and the voices. So he leaves his room, in search of a distraction, unaware.
Warnings: None as of yet, but there is the possibility of imagery of him shooting himself in the head, and I guess some bad language...?

[ Ever since the power outage had started and he'd been in the Library floor to see that broadcast... Minato had felt unsettled. Thanatos sat, whispering in the back of his mind.

People were dying. ... He could only save so many of them, though he desperately wanted to try, many he'd come to find, he was too late for. Worse, still, was his Personas (Death, Death and Death and Death, speaking to him this place is not right, he could feel it, THEY could feel it) always telling him ever since the power had went out about the Shadow-like creatures around him... but they weren't Shadows, were they? Though Shadows had ways or luring people out of their coffins during the Dark Hour by calling them, just like this.

Unfortunately, though Minato knew this too well... the voice of his teammates had left him in something of an awful state. Normally quite willing to talk (if bothered, anyway), Minato had shut himself away in the room he shared in the dorm with Karkat, Prussia, and Dave. He simply... could not bear to hear them, because if they WERE dead... then he had left them behind.

'You promised you would never leave us behind, but you did--and now you won't even talk to us?' Ken's voice.
'Heh. Looks like all your preachy bullshit was just that in the end, huh, Minato? Takaya was right. Why don't you face us, you son of a bitch?' Jin.
'You left me with them to get attached... to be in pain. Pain I never asked for. Pain I didn't want. You made us all a promise and you've broken it... come back.' Chidori.

And, he could have sworn he heard a dog barking. It was slowly driving him mad and his MP3 player was... running dangerously low, due to the lack of working power. He tried to focus on his music, to drown out both his Personas (Samael, a hiss in the back of his mind, Thanatos a struggling roar of warning, sensing so much DEATH--) and the voices of his team... but it was the last one that finally made him get up and leave.

'Onii-chan... why...? Why did you leave me behind? Come back... come here... please...' ]

... I can't. I'm sorry...

[ He grabbed his sword from off his bed, his pistol, some ammunition, and his Evoker. Taking both in hand, putting the pistol away and his Evoker and getting a flashlight he'd gotten earlier, Minato headed out and down the hallway, not aware or caring who heard him then or who didn't.

ANYTHING was better than sitting there hoping they'd shut up. ]

We need to decide on a meeting place.

[ He's quiet. There is a brief, small smile. ]

They're phantoms. There's no point listening to the dead.

[ That's all he says, as abstract and vague as it is, before he turns. ]

The dorm rooms seem to be the only safe places as of now. We could meet there... I'm hoping to track down anyone else who isn't there and can't defend themselves.

[ He isn't aware as of yet that his Persona won't function on these things. ]

Sound like a plan. We ought to stick together so now we only need to pick a direction.

[ A nod. There's really only so many ways to go, back that way lead to the dorms, so... ]

I suppose for now forward would be the best direction.

[ Thus, he begins walking that way, sword and Evoker ready. ]

... By the way, did you find who you were looking for? I haven't seen the people you told me about, or the ones I'm searching for, although someone... else is here as well.

[ Of course, Minato is alert, even as he is speaking, and he can see the shadows moving around them in the distance. ]

You mean our shady friends.

[ He raises his Evoker defensively, sword in his other hand, watching the shadows get closer. ]

... I can summon Thanatos if they get out of hand--

[ If they are, they are hungry. They've got two options: fight or run. Minato raises his Evoker to his head, waiting for a sign.

Hesitating. ... The Doctor obviously didn't want to hurt anything living, he wanted to respect that, but it was a little unnerving when they were drawing closer by the second. Luckily, years of fighting similar creatures has taught him one thing: patience, and to be calm in this situation. ]

Or we can run.

I'm very good at running.

[ A nod. That's a good enough confirmation as any. Running down a turn from the hallway, opposite them, and the way they came.

It wouldn't be wise to go at random, but he had spent some time looking around the halls by now, so Minato was reasonably sure he could somewhat tell where he was going. With any luck, they'd manage to slip past these... whatever they were.

Shadows...? Phantoms...? He wasn't sure.

He waits until he is fairly sure they've lost whatever those things were, in some room somewhere, before he catches his breath just a bit, silent.

... He is open for you to ask questions if you want, Doctor. Now might be a good time. ]

[The Doctor is just going to put a hand on his shoulder]

You don't have to be strong all the time.

[ S-sob, what is being anything else. At this point he runs on Suppressors and the want to stay alive. ]

Earlier, you were upset.

I just want to make sure you're alright, and that you know you don't have to pretend to be okay when you aren't.

[ ... He's silent for a long moment.

Was it his place to know, really? Why should he trust anyone with how he feels or what's happened to him? He shouldn't. But he also... wanted others to be able to trust him, and wasn't it a two-way street? ]

... I'm not a fan of hearing people impersonate my team.

[ He is silent for a second. He has been through a bit too much to trust people so easily. As much as he does honestly like people, old habits were hard to break. ]

[ There's a bit of sarcasm to his tone, something he rarely uses with people he is not comfortable with, at least. ]

Although you should know that demons run when they hear that name, whole galaxies rise when they hear my name, entire races shiver at the thought of going up against me. People in the right know that when I say mine name, they're safe.

Of course, Minato wasn't one to underestimate people, but somehow, he doubted the Doctor was just boasting. ... Even so, while he didn't feel a threat at present, he felt the need to make one thing perfectly clear. ]

[ A small lie. He feared many things most kids his age did not have to concern themselves with. Though dying was not among those things, he would not carelessly place trust in people he did not fully know. ]
