Characters: Edward Elric and YOU!
Setting: Room 3-10 and other floors of the tower.
Format: Action is preferred, but I'll match.
Summary: Ed wakes up in the tower and is not please. Not pleased at all.
Warnings: Ed's mouth. That's about it for now.
» Room 3-10
[Ed braced himself, gritting his teeth and slowly attempting to pull himself up off the ground. For a second he was doing just fine, but then a biting, sharp pain -- more pain that he had felt in a long, long time -- in his stomach made him freeze. His breath caught in his chest. His heart skipped more than a few beats and his eyes went wide as the world starting spinning. He choked and looked down, immediately wishing that he hadn't. A piece of metal, a long beam from some abandoned construction work, ran right through him. He was skewered.
He let his guard down. He had shown mercy and this was the price he had to pay for it. If he didn't do something soon he was going to die here at the bottom of this mine shaft.
His vision blurred, the world around him grew dark and then...
And then he woke up and the pain was gone.
He struggled, fighting against the sleep paralysis as his mind raced -- where was he? Did someone find him in that mind shaft and bring him here? But how? There was no way. That wasn't a dream right? It couldn't have been a dream. He remembered it too well, that pain was real.
Thirty seconds later Ed shot up with a strangled sort of scream. His chest heaved with each breath as he looked around the room. This was definitely not a mineshaft. This wasn't a place he knew.]
» Various floors
((Ed's pretty much exploring the entirety of the tower so pick a floor, any floor and that's where the thread will be! Just specify the floor in your tag!))
[Now that all of that was over with it was time to get moving. He had more important things to do. Things like finding out if this letter was for real. There had to be answers somewhere in this tower. There had to be someone here who knew something. I mean, Amestris couldn't be gone... right?]

3rd Floor - Library
An archive? No one told me this place existed.
[ The Elf arched his brow in mild wandered as he walked inside of the library. His steps were quiet but perhaps not quiet enough to avoid detection. Wondering if there's anyone inside, Haldir turned the corner to spot a boy with golden locks nearby. He gave the youth a wary glance as he eyed him from head to toe. ]
A hobbit here...?
[ His indigo eyes blinked in confusion. ]
Yet even for a hobbit, you're quite...small.

Maybe if he was lucky he'd be able to stumble across something that could give him some answers about this place. His fingers brush against the spine of a book and just when he's about to pull it out he freezes.
There's a moment of brief, heavy silence. Ed's hands curl into fists as he turns sharply to face the elf.]
WHO THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING SMALL?!
no subject
I was calling you "small", young one. However, I do believe that was rather rude of me.
no subject
Oh wait.
No. No he feel bad doesn't. Not at all. That was a terrible apology and you should feel terrible, sir. Terrible. :|]
YOU THINK?
no subject
Oh, dear me. It seems I've truly offended you. I take it that you're a "dwarf" instead of a "hobbit".
[ Making to keep some much needed distance between them, Haldir stands back and braces himself. ]

A... a what? Hobbit? What the hell is a --
[OH MY GOD NO ED THIS IS NOT IMPORTANT RIGHT NOW. YOU HAVE MORE PRESSING MATTERS TO DEAL WITH. THIS GUY IS STILL CALLING YOU SHORT. PRIORITIES, BOY. PRIORITIES.]
I'M NOT A RUNT, DAMN IT. [His fists clench and he cracks his knuckles on his left hand.] Keep it up and I'll knock that smug smirk off your face, jackass!

Settle down, friend. [ He chuckles lightly. ] There's no need for violence here. I apologize.
no subject
... Smart move. Who the hell are you, anyway?
no subject
Ah, forgive me. I was so caught up by your miniature stature that I forgot my manners.
[ He coughs slightly. ]
I am Haldir of Lothlórien, former Leader of the Marchwardens. Like you, I'm also trapped in this forsaken tower for who knows how long.
[ He sighs and the mischief in his gaze fades quickly. ]
I'm quite certain you've received the same news as I did.

[I MEAN THAT WAS THE FOURTH TIME YOU'VE CALLED HIM SMALL. WHAT EVEN?? Yes, Haldir. He is keeping track. It's not a complex, really. :|]
You mean that crap about our worlds being destroyed? Yeah... yeah I did.
[The heavy frown on his face fades and and he uncrosses his arms, rubbing the back of his neck. The indignant anger in his eyes is gone, replaced by something far more somber.]
Name's Ed, by the way. Edward Elric.
