Characters: Edward Elric and YOU!
Setting: Room 3-10 and other floors of the tower.
Format: Action is preferred, but I'll match.
Summary: Ed wakes up in the tower and is not please. Not pleased at all.
Warnings: Ed's mouth. That's about it for now.
» Room 3-10
[Ed braced himself, gritting his teeth and slowly attempting to pull himself up off the ground. For a second he was doing just fine, but then a biting, sharp pain -- more pain that he had felt in a long, long time -- in his stomach made him freeze. His breath caught in his chest. His heart skipped more than a few beats and his eyes went wide as the world starting spinning. He choked and looked down, immediately wishing that he hadn't. A piece of metal, a long beam from some abandoned construction work, ran right through him. He was skewered.
He let his guard down. He had shown mercy and this was the price he had to pay for it. If he didn't do something soon he was going to die here at the bottom of this mine shaft.
His vision blurred, the world around him grew dark and then...
And then he woke up and the pain was gone.
He struggled, fighting against the sleep paralysis as his mind raced -- where was he? Did someone find him in that mind shaft and bring him here? But how? There was no way. That wasn't a dream right? It couldn't have been a dream. He remembered it too well, that pain was real.
Thirty seconds later Ed shot up with a strangled sort of scream. His chest heaved with each breath as he looked around the room. This was definitely not a mineshaft. This wasn't a place he knew.]
» Various floors
((Ed's pretty much exploring the entirety of the tower so pick a floor, any floor and that's where the thread will be! Just specify the floor in your tag!))
[Now that all of that was over with it was time to get moving. He had more important things to do. Things like finding out if this letter was for real. There had to be answers somewhere in this tower. There had to be someone here who knew something. I mean, Amestris couldn't be gone... right?]

It's alright, I guess.
no subject
Wellll...can yours do this?
[He grabs the cuff on his on arm and twists it 180 degrees. When he does, claws come out of the finger tips.]
no subject
Nah, but I can do this instead.
[ARE YOU READY TO SEE SOMETHING AMAZING, CROSS? ARE YOU? He claps his hands and touches his right arm. A bright flash of blue light sparks and surrounds his arm as he guides his hand down it. As it starts to disappear a blade extends from it. A bit of static lingers for a moment before it vanishes completely.
This grin on his face? Oh no, it's not cocky at all. Not in the slightest.]
It works out pretty well for me.

Retracting the claws, he gets up quickly and grabs onto Ed's metal arm, eyes shining with pure fascination.]
Woooow! That's some pretty cool magic!
[But now he's taking a closer look at Ed's automail.]
Oh wow! The detail on this thing is freaking spectacular! How'd you manage it? What kind of piece did you use for this part?
[He's just pointing at several places now. Yup, he's pretty impressed. Enjoy fanboyism.]

[Oh god. How do they find him? How do they all find him?? Still, he grins a bit. Winry does do amazing work.]
Yeah, it's pretty amazing. But I didn't make it so I couldn't tell you.
no subject
Can you teach me it!? Teach me alchemy I mean! It looks like it'd be really useful with fighting bad guys and stuff!
[Oh right, automail fascination, oooh ahhhhh.]
Oh, you didn't? I guess I can't talk to your builder than, huh? Cause they're not here. Hopefully?
[Because, even though Cross would love to know, he'd rather not someone be endangered.]
no subject
I might be able to. I'll need some time to think about it, if you don't mind.
[He shakes his head.]
Not that I know of. Unless you've seen a girl named Winry Rockbell around...
no subject
[Like, right now actually. Tell him now. He wants to learn. Why do you deprive him Ed?]
No, no girl named Winry here. At least, not that I know of.
no subject
Maybe you've seen my brother around? His name's Alphonse, wears a big suit of armor...?
no subject
...Hey Ed, want your shoes shined? Hey Ed, you're so cool. Hey Ed, you're so tall and awesome, you could do anything.]Nooooope. No suits of armor or kids named Alphonse.
no subject
Figured I'd ask anyway. Thanks though.
no subject
He's someone important to you, huh?

[BECAUSE, SIBLINGS ARE SUCH A RARE THING! Obviously.]
But it's probably for the best that he's back home. This place can be pretty dangerous.
no subject
But yeah, you're probably right.
